  1. If you are right CJ, then after 40+ years of supporting it is time that City and I parted. I don't follow a business, I follow a football club wanting to do the absolute best and vompete with the elite.
  2. No I would not want to be in the trenches with other City fans as our "leader" orders us over the top in another futile directionless and suicidal mission of staggering incompetence.
  3. Worry is that he will drag us down with him if he does not realise the wider personal ramifications....
  4. If it was a one off I might agree, but it isn't. Pathetic weekly excuses have run out. A 72% loss rate at this level is extraordinary. Time to stop flogging a dead horse and accept the reality- all managers run their course and DF's time has now come.
  5. Agreed, I think thats the most likely, but he'll need to agree and leave "by mutual consent" with a negotiated settlement. I really want him to succeed, but his time has run here and his best option must surely be to get out with some shred of credibility.
  6. It is incredible that Daniel Farke is still in post. Mind boggling. A 10% win record in the EPL, 72% of games lost at this level. But more than that, even last time: abject pathetic failure that even a non league side would be ashamed of. Farke simply has to be sacked. Lovely bloke, and given us two great promotions, but he is humiliating us now. Confidence in the first team clearly gone, seemingly good players frozen out, no desire, no motivation, no tactics, no hunger, no improvement. A shambles. How many managers turn this sort of situation around? Our ineptitude at this level is setting new records. The chances of it changing? Pretty much negligible. Name one time, ever, anywhere, where something like this has undergone an equivalently Damascene transformation. Tactics, line ups, desire, marking, closing down, passing, effort. Pride. All free. None of it on display today and precious little all season. We have a squad stuffed full of internationals, a squad built by Farke himself. Just look at the you tube videos of a vibrant Rashica at Bremen. Here? A shadow, an irrelevance, a name on a shirt, a fleeting presence. A bit part squad player devoid of meaningful influence. DF is slowly but surely trashing us, the squad and the club by being out of his depth. But he is also trashing his legacy. Two wonderful promotions are now being eroded by a fast cancerous and acrimonious decline. And his own reputation? Now in danger of being irreparably damaged. We are all in a terrible spiral of failure. The toleration of such awful performances by Webber is itself staggering in its ineptitude. But Farke needs to leave now, both for his own good and for ours. No good will come of this. There is no case for persisting with a failing manager in whom even the players seem to have lost faith. Change is scary. But often needed. That time is now. The courageous will act. The cowardly will fail. @ Daniel Farke- you know what to do. Act now. Save what little we and you have left and leave with dignity. Change is scary. But change is good.
  7. This simply has to be Farkes last game. It is 100% Farke's fault. What exactly does he say to them to get them demotivated, disorganised and disinterested? Thats some skill to get these players, many of whom are internationals, playing so abjectly. Its almost got to the point of anyone but Farke.....

  9. Not sure what else anyone expects. We know Farke cannot cut it in this league, but nothing is done about it.
  10. I believe it was an unchanged lineup today? If so it perhaps reinforces the need for some consistency rather than all the tinkering. Not ecstatic, but I was strangely very pleased we eked it out. May be just one point but could do wonders for confidence.
  11. We have to start somewhere. Sure a win would have been nice but thank goodness we have at least got a point and stopped that horrendous run. It may only be a toothless 0 0 at Burnley but feels like a massive point. Def worth a beer.
  12. But good lineups, tactics, formations, marking, pressing, commitment, positional nous, passing and substitutions are all free. We seem to have issues with all of that lot. Maybe if we fixed the free basic stuff we would have a better chance.......
  13. I like DF a lot. But he is clearly out of his depth at this level. I would like an amicable parting as I want to remember the 2 promotions, not an increasingly acrimonious end. The home game v Blackburn in '19 is one of my best NCFC memories, it will be a shame if that is not the main legacy.
  14. I agree with HH44. We accept mediocrity too easily. Interesting that on Sat the excuse for many was that we had 2 debuts. Liverpool had 3 last night and were still comfortable. Not great.
  15. Been out tonight, just back. I gather things have not got better? I was hoping the "liberation" of a cup game might produce something better. Sounds like exactly the same. Not marvellous.
  16. Comments were fair. The more the pressure from all directions the more the club might wake up and actually do something about it. Nicey nicey glossing it all over won't get us anywhere. I have never known, in 40+ years of supporting, the disdain in which we are now held.
  17. What complicates things is that there seem to be endemic issues. In 4 seasons we are still fragile defensively for instance. We are not the only team contending with covid, having new players, or international breaks. Every single defeat we can say the ref was bad, unfair var, couple of invdidual mistakes, debut, injury, wrong type of rain etc. The bottom line is that we are now setting 30 year PL records for poor performance. We don't have many realistic games to get points. So delaying too long means we need to get 35 points or so in whatever is left, so statistically really tough. My heart doesn't want DF to go, but reluctantly I think it needs to be done.
  18. No other club would tolerate this level of performance. I think DF is still getting an easy ride generally, which shows how patient and understanding the supporters and the board are. But we are indeed now a laughing stock, a PL embarrasment and the excuses have to end. All managers come to the end of their shelf life. We need to capitalise on the good things he has done, part ways and not risk a downward spiral of acrimonious negativity. A real shame, but its the way of the football world.
  19. Surely whether there is a defensive coach is a decision, and within the scope, of the Director of Football? Otherwise Webber is just a transfer merchant.
  20. Formations, line ups, marking, tactics, substitutions, attitude, fitness, positional awareness. None of it costs anything. We have the players. The squad has been upgraded. The "project" is working in that sense. But the managerial side which makes it tick has not been upgraded. Its like putting a BMW engine into a Dacia.
  21. This is entirely a Farke team. Yet the issues are exactly the same as when he inherited a largely Alex Neil team. Different, and better, players but same issues. Suggests he is in desperate need of additional coaching support.
  22. Those are all just excuses LDC. There will always be an excuse. 15 excuses in a row in the PL and counting. Does no other team have any issues? We should demand better, booing isn't nice for us but maybe Webber, Farke and co will buck their ideas up because it won't be nice for them either......
