  1. Nothing against him at all. Just being realistic. I think he's a good character who has done as well as can be expected given his lack of minutes and a system that doesn't really fit him. But you have to admit that if we could even get half back what we had paid for him and him off the wage bill we probably would, no?
  2. It's fine to be sentimental but that isn't really the debate. I have fonder memories of Steve Morison than Harry Kane but that doesn't make him a better player.
  3. Only interested in the youngsters really. All the older ones are surplus to requirements, goes without saying. MacCallum was the highest rated player according to whoscored for a mid table Championship team last year. He could cost £3m. I'd be shocked if he wasn't given a chance in preseason at least to prove his worth before we shell out money on someone that won't play. Agreed on Famewo. Another who I think will be given a chance preseason, although I expect it will end in a Championship loan. We all know how good Zimbo was in the champs two years ago, but that was two years ago, and to go into a season in the premier league relying on his fitness would be crazy after what happened last time. We'll keep him, but wouldn't be surprised if he was as a fifth choice option to avoid a repeat. Bushiri got no hopes for, O'Mebamidele will be here competing for first team. I'd also think Mumba will stay as cover, although preseason will probably be a good indicator of where we see him playing long term. Is he an Aarons replacement? Sinani was playing amateur football until 12 months ago. Really keen to hang on to him and get him playing in English football; the risk to reward is skewed so much in our favour, he'll be on pennies and with two years of professional coaching who knows. Grant Holt was playing in Singapore at his age. Josh Martin ideally a championship loan. Adshead, I honestly have no idea what level he is at. Championship? Is he still highly thought of? Idah is staying, that has essentially been confirmed. The lad needs confidence and I see the early statement/pinkun leak about him staying as an attempt to get him settled and ready for next year. I'd probably have Soto ahead of Hugill just for the wildcard factor but that says more about the fact Hoogs isn't going to offer much next year IMHO than Soto's suitability. Soto champs loan ideally, Hoogs we'll struggle to move on. A poor signing in hindsight. Omotoye has huge promise but is miles off the first team, another to go on loan. All in all lots of promising youth prospects to pad the squad out if needs be. First team football is great, but we have first class facilities and coaching staff, and so it's not always the end of the world for players to spend half a season here.
  4. He isn't "leaving" of his own volition, mutual agreement tends to skew more towards being asked to leave than offering to step down in my experience. The injury to the Jimenez really shafted them. He made that team. But they've gone backwards this year and the grass is always greener when you've put the money in their owners have.
  5. I read the same thing. Think it's very unlikely we sell. Loads of potential with his raw attributes. I'd personally keep him as I think he's an outlet at the top level with us inevitably sitting deeper, especially away from home. As always though, in Farke/Webber we trust.
  6. Anyone technologically inclined should be looking into staking stable cryptocurrencies. Coins like USDT that track the dollar and therefore have no volatility are paying approx. 6% APY and will continue to do so irrespective of fiat interest rates. Edit to say NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE! But happy to explain further if anyone is actually interested.
  7. Always take profits. No man went broke cashing out. I've almost trebled my initial investment in a month, so can now afford to take out initial investment and it's all gains!
  8. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out. Like any kind of investing, their are risks involved that can be largely mitigated with a bit of due diligence. Also some of the stories in the press are ridiculous in trying to scare people off crypto. I saw one in the telegraph where someone had given £130k to someone for BTC and it turned out it was a scam...while I sympathise, someone stupid enough to give away their life savings without performing any kind of checks would probably have just given it to the next Nigerian Prince that emailed anyway.
  9. It's free to listen to the radio, you only have to pay for a TV
  10. I've got quite into it the last few months, being stuck at home on furlough with sod all else to do. The gains these last few weeks have been stupendous.
  11. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ST5AF6_EyeA Goal starts at 50 seconds. Wow, some goal. One swallow doesn't make a summer but I can't imagine Hugill ever doing anything like that!
  12. I think you do a huge disservice to our coaching staff and players. We train and work on shape and formation. Obviously when chasing a game some of that goes out of the window but to essentially put all positioning down to coincidence or luck neglects the amount of work that goes in prior to matchdays.
  13. Full match highlights now available: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQiNQd9YzVo A couple of screenshots for people to make their mind up. OTBC
  14. My initial interpretation. I don't think you know what that expression means. I agree that anyone saying 'Tim would've saved it...' etc. is pointless but I don't think many people are saying that. This is basically my thought process in a nutshell. McGovern made it look unsaveable due to his position and indecision as to whether to come for the cross.
  15. Billboard to the right of the goal, FLORIDA'S MOST SUPPORT. The ball is covering the S of MOST
  16. I've had to watch the video 50 times to work it out, let me know when you want the answer...
  17. Haha I thought the same! Proper tricky on this one
  18. Exhibit A, your honour. Shocking marking so understand if your gut feeling is to blame CBs but I still think it's poor. Anyway, great win, don't want to be a miserabilist.
  19. I don't want to get into whataboutery. Have you watched the goal back? I just think he's stood in the wrong place, he lost concentration, and it meant he had little chance of saving a saveable shot. But everyone sees things differently...
  20. Genuine question, what did you think of his positioning for the goal? It appeared to me that he was stood at the back post... For me, while today he was improved in general, a competent GK is saving that.
