  1. Can you imagine what a great side we may have without Hanley in it? If only he could score for us.
  2. Anyone know the last time we won away from home having gone one down? Brilliant!
  3. Not sure what Idah brings to the side apart from falling over and being muscled easily off the ball. Hope he now scores a hat trick, but not holding my breath.
  4. “Go out and enjoy yourself”? Top coaching tip from LDC. I would much rather he was told to go out there and get involved gather than hiding from the ball. Put yourself about and create a presence. Challenge. Be physical. However, if we see Tzolis again playing for Norwich it will be more of the same ineffectual amateur play.
  5. We are playing against Wigan. Wigan!! Not Inter Milan or Man City, and we cannot make an impression? Rubbish!
  6. In truth what member of this squad is a player that you would pay good hard earned to see, the player that you are excited to watch , the player that you think can make things happen and turn a game to our advantage?
  7. Yes, I have been slow to acknowledge that this squad is not fit for purpose, desperately hoping that they would start to perform to their supposed potential. It is not to be. With Hanley, McLean , Dowel, Giannoulis all out of their depth and seemingly undroppable and Tzolis , Placheta, Gibson, Byram, Sara, Nunez and others all mediocre at best there has to be a huge rebuild of players. Time to move on the dead wood and get some young , energetic, determined players who can pass forwards rather than square or backwards, who can distribute the ball without taking 6 touches to slow play down, who are committed and fit enough to press the opposition .
  8. It is time to acknowledge that this squad is not competitive . Despite changing the head coach this squad cannot compete. Without a culling of a whole swath of underperforming players we are a mid table mediocre side. I am resigned to this reality and no longer believe that this squad can push for promotion. Not this season, not next season.
  9. There is no “reset button” as one of our players says post match. No magic button or divine help to suddenly transform this team into a winning proposition. This is the level that this squad can produce. We are mid table mediocrities. That is the fact. We have no commitment. We take too many touches on the ball which slows the game and not enough energy or drive to press the opposition. We need to acknowledge that despite changing the coach this squad is non competitive and that mid table is our level.
  10. Tzolis cannot be selected after his disappearing act when brought on against Burnley. I did not see him challenge for one ball.
  11. I am not for sacking everyone, but a football squad is always a fluid entity with plenty of coming and going, some players can be retained, for the best of reasons, but become a liability or just stop performing at their previous level. This is a natural process and when acknowledged these players need to be moved on, it is essential. McLean, Krul and Hanley are the three most glaring examples and need to be moved along to allow a fresher , younger, more talented player with something to prove to be brought in. If Webber cannot acknowledge this or is slow or reluctant to do the painful task , then yes he may also have outlived his usefulness to the Club.
  12. Unfortunately Wagner has inherited some legacy players who should have been moved on by the previous incumbent . Now they think they are the backbone of the squad and cannot be dropped. Tim Krul has obviously outlived his usefulness and is a liability. McLean has shown that he cannot compete now at this level . Hanley is not and never has been a leader of men and his first instinct is always to slow the game by passing square or backwards thinking that if he has made a successful pass to a teammate his stats will look good. Yesterdays effort was just more of the same left over from the Smith reign, no penetration, few ideas, pedestrian movement of the ball mixed in with a touch of complete incompetence. Not good enough to compete.
  13. Disappointed! Went to Carrow Road full of expectation and anticipation. But was served up more of the same. Krill throws the game away with such disregard and negligence that you have to query whether it was deliberate, after all he must have been the only person in the entire stadium that did not see the opposition player that he passed the ball directly to. And then two further soft goals gifted because no defender appears to know how to defend. Too many players were hiding , prime example being Tzolis who came on and promptly disappeared, he may as well have been wearing a cloak of invisibility. This squad have to compete with serious intent if they want to gain promotion, but that would require commitment which I did not see on the pitch today.
  14. New Manager bounce was good in the first two away games. If we can continue that momentum for the home game against Burnley that would be excellent. But a draw against the top team would be a great result.I will be attending again now that Dean Smith has departed and am hoping to see some entertaining football at Carrow Road again.
  15. That’s got rid of him at last. We all wish him well. However , he will get kicked off the park up there.
  16. Enough already! He has no future at Norwich. Move him on like any other asset that no longer works for you. Get him off the payroll and let him and his agent be somebody else’s problem.
  17. He will not be missed at Norwich. Sketchy talent at best with a fragile physique and questionable commitment to anything other than Todd Cantwell. I suspect that he may quickly become a figure of derision at Rangers if he continues with the same attitude as he has with Norwich. Bench warmer at best. Whatever we get for him in terms of transfer fee will be a bonus , just to remove him from the payroll would be enough.
  18. Burnley and Sheffield are already out of sight , 20 points away over the horizon. Our only way to promotion this season will be via the playoffs. It may be delusional to expect us to get promotion this season, we have already lost 11 matches . That is not promotion form. Even if Wagner can get this squad working there is still a lot to do. Part of me simply wants to see exciting, entertaining football like the days of Farke and Buendia and like last weekends 0-4 away from home. That for me will be enough, but there will be huge economic consequences that will roll into the next season in the Championship.
