What is the Wagner game plan? Cannot see anything positive here. Poor defence and nobody to play out to if we do get the ball. Barnes and Sargent need to be that out ball but they are too busy helping out midfield or even deeper into the back four. Otherwise one way traffic and no hope to hold out for another 40 minutes. Their keeper playing in the centre circle, shows how bad we are.

I am not a fan of the 34 year old. If you are playing out from the back he is not the target man you need as he is two yards too slow. Yesterday when I saw him stripping off to come on as a substitute I moaned that whatever the question, Barnes is not the answer. But he proved me wrong, his inclusion turned the game into victory.

Team for Rovers replay

Wagner wants to win this replay, apparently. But he has dropped Josh Sargent.? What? -
Now Brentford are sniffing after Rowe
kenfoggo replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Until the mad Webber purchases of old , over the hill, no hopers the Club model was to recognise young talent, develop that talent and sell on that talent for a good profit. I expect to see Rowe to be moved on under this model , if not in this January window then in the summer window. This will always be a stepping stone club for ambitious young players. We are lucky to see their talent for as long as we can. -
The most glaring development in the squad for the Wagner reign is the evident loss of belief of the players in how the team is constructed and instructed. This has infected the stands to such an extent that most Supporters expectations have been lowered to accommodate the mediocrity on display on the pitch. Every Supporter I chat with has no belief that this regime will achieve anything other that lower half of the Championship table. Many are questioning whether they can even be bothered to turn up and watch a home match, and many (like me) will probably not renew our season tickets. We are currently 20 points away from an automatic promotion spot (unlikely) and only 13 points away from a demotion (still possible). All of this under Wagner’s watch. The whole season has been a dispiriting endeavour which few have found entertaining. The fight to escape this malaise has to start immediately, anything less that a result at Hull tonight MUST result in reorganisation.

Excellent article from Bridget sums up the disaster of governance at NCFC. With regards to Delia Smith’s performance at the AGM- it was as if she decided to take a dump in her own hands and then clap. The resulting shower of excrement splattered on all in attendance including her fellow Directors. If I was a Director I would never accept that and would be either extraditing myself from involvement in the Club or calling for her to stand down. Totally unacceptable and indicative of the amateur way this Club is run.

Why do we play backwards so much .
kenfoggo replied to Sufyellow's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Passing backwards or square is an easy option to ensure that your personal player stats reflect a high percentage of “completed passes” rather than attempt an attacking move which may result in an “incomplete pass”. Our Captain is the worst offender often passing backwards to the keeper when there are 9 Norwich players ahead of him. Admittedly he moves the ball so slowly that by the time he is prepared to pass all our players are marked up by the opponent. It is boring and awful to watch and has been coached into the side by a truly unimaginative and weak coaching set up. -
Do the boo boys believe they are helping our club?
kenfoggo replied to Rhino1's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
You “Boo Boys” are a disgrace! You should just be grateful that you are allowed to bask in the tactical GENIUS that is Wagner! The man is absolutely brilliant, witness today’s exceptional performance at home against the lower league Bristol Rovers and their team of world class players. We held them at home to a draw by passing square or backwards at every opportunity and thus stunning the opposition into a comatose state. Did you see the way Wagner yanked Sargent off at half time , the only Norwich player who seemed like he wanted to win the game? Genius! And then the second half where he forced our players to make no serious effort to put the ball near the opposition goal? Unbelievably excellent motivation of the squad. Stop whinging and accept that we are fortunate to have Wagner guiding our team to success, he is a GENIUS!
