  1. Not bothered one bit about this arrogant chancer with no people skills leaving. I AM concerned that he is still in place with all the attendant worries of his ability and commitment to the position and to the Club. Plus how can his wife remain in post with all the conflicts of interest that must be evident ? This really does have the stench of amateurism at Board level.Having announced he was leaving he should have been put on gardening leave , along with his wife, until his notice period has run next March .
  2. Without doubt this is the correct decision by Webber. He has proven in the last two seasons of disappointment that he has outlived his usefulness and the culture of losing as being acceptable at Carrow Road cannot be turned around with him in place.
  3. Duffy seems to spend a lot of time being sidelined through injury. I hope that we do not acquire another aging crock.
  4. The Director of Football can be smug, arrogant, contemptuous of the Supporters IF he is bringing success to the Club. The last two seasons under his watch have been a crock. The pressure is on, patience is paper thin, three strikes and you are out!
  5. No! That’s exactly what I mean by halfway. As Webber says this starts on the pitch, it is difficult to show enthusiasm for a team that produces no entertainment , no goals and no commitment.
  6. Mr Webber would like us to meet him halfway? As a Supporter I would like Mr Webber to meet my expectations halfway, by which I mean at least provide some entertainment and not the dross we saw in the last 11-12 games of the season. That would be a start and perhaps win a game or two? Too much to expect?
  7. No stick needed to beatWebber. Just watching the last two seasons of the dross served up as entertainment under his watch.
  8. Good question, perhaps an admission that the last two seasons have not only been unacceptable in terms of the entertainment value of the end product and also a perhaps a clear plan of how that will be remedied next season? Anyway, perhaps stop treating the Supporters with contempt would be a start.
  9. Having watched the whole Paddy interview I remain completely convinced that our present Sporting Director is not the person to effectively carry this Club forward to the intended target of being a Premiership Club.
  10. The case for bringing Farke back (assuming he would come back) would be that he had proven success in the Championship, that he brought an identity to the Club and that he could arrest the decline in Supporter sentiment. Whether as Sporting Director to replace a failing Webber or as a replacement for the failing Wagner. However how many successes are there at second stints at football clubs? So probably not a good idea unless Webber decides he can do no more here and decamps to Leeds or base camp of Everest.
  11. Webber and Wagner have hit rock bottom in terms of any planned direction for this Club. Signing a 33 year old player, soon to be 34, demonstrates no ambition just a knee jerk reaction to criticism after a disastrous season of mid table mediocrity. If Ashley Barnes is such an asset why was he not taken forward into next season by his former Club ? If Webber had a strategic plan for the direction of this Club it is now revealed as being a busted flush. Appointing an old chum as head coach, backing him after a pathetic last 11 games (only 1 win), signing old unwanted cast offs and refusing to engage with the Supporters. How far has this Club fallen in two years under his watch? The plan appears to be to keep friends and family usefully employed in a head long nosedive into the lower divisions.
  12. Barnes 33 should fit in quite well with Tim Krull 35, Grant Hanley 31, Kenny McLean 31, Ben Gibson 30, Onel Hernandez 30. None of these players should be written off just because they are seniors but the recruitment of older players in a team that already has plenty of experience smacks of lack of ambition. No doubt Webber will also be trawling the loaner market looking for other clubs unwanted journeymen.
  13. 33 years old! Experienced he may be, he may come with bags of grit and determination, but it will be on 33 year old legs. Also last season he was playing in a team that quite frankly made him look good with excellent supply from talented players. Are there any more old past it’s out there looking for an easy time to see out their career? This is the level to which Norwich City have dropped. Sad.
  14. How old is Ashley Barnes ? Is he injured? Does he have a record of being long term injured? Is he expecting an easy time at sleepy Norwich and Camp Colney to see out his career? If there is even a glimmer of doubt on his fitness or his motivation why are we signing him? Certainly not a long term player to build a side around. I thought that the self sustaining model Norwich was operating under required that the Club bought young, motivated players who can be brought on and sold at a huge profit? There will be no profit margin in an old, slow , injury prone, has-been at the end of his contract. He better knock in 20 plus goals next season , starting straight away without any “ bedding in time”.
  15. I think it is obvious that whatever it is that Wagner selling, the Team and the Supporters are not buying. The squad showed how demotivated they were with only one win in eleven. The Supporters are on the cusp of a complete rebellion and a poor start to the new season in the Championship will see that discontent escalate. I have absolutely no confidence that Webber and Wagner will be able to get a squad together that will be able to compete. This season was mid table mediocrity, I expect next season to be worse, much worse.
  16. To have hope or optimism for next season you must believe that Webber can rebuild the squad over the summer and that Wagner can coach , mould and motivate those players . Unfortunately this seems too big a stretch for my credulity, we are doomed to a relegation struggle if Webber and Wagner remain in place.
  17. To have any degree of optimism you would need to have confidence in Webber’s ability to rebuild the squad. Which is too large a stretch for my sceptical self.
  18. I paid the ticket cost and then they refunded the £50 waiting list deposit.
  19. Call started at 0930 and finished at 1030. I got a season ticket for next season and waiting list deposit returned. Very helpful lady that I spoke to on the ticket line said that she had lots of seats still available and pretty much in all areas of the ground. I got exactly the seat I wanted down to the stand, row, seat number.
  20. Yes I paid the money to go on the waiting list. Today starting at 0930 is when you can call the Ticket Office to see what can be offered. I called at 0930. It is now 1010 and I still waiting, “caller number 7 in the queue.”
  21. It would seem that the only way to repay these loans would be to sell existing players if anyone would want them. Thus diluting the quality/experience of the squad and making the prospects of promotion even more challenging.
  22. “Please wait for the next available agent, you are caller number 34 in the queue. Please hold.” Obviously not important enough to have sufficient agents on duty to deal with Season Ticket waiting list respondents.
  23. I do not think that Andy Hughes should be sacked but I do believe that he should be disciplined. After the season of abject, dismal failure that the faithful travelling fans have had to endure it is wholly unacceptable for a coach , who has coached a squad to one win in ten games, to go over to those fans to make provocative and inflammatory words and gestures! Completely out of order. Nothing short of an apology of grovelling proportions and a docking of wages will suffice.
  24. One win in ten? Brilliant! Keep him. Give him a five year contract! Embarrassment is what we all enjoy! Hurrah!
  25. Norwich coaching staff abuse the Norwich fans? Andrew Hughes , should really be coaching a Sunday pub team , such a professional.
