Predictions for Saturday
Ealing Canary replied to Jimaldinho's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
We''ll concede within the first 9 minutes and it''ll be 4-1 Leeds. It''s almost too predictable. -

McVeigh in Contract Talks!
Ealing Canary replied to Tom NCFC's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Maybe he ask for a clause in his contract that if he''ll only sign under the condition that Worthy isn''t allowed within 2 miles of Colney or Carrow Road. -
I went to the Watford, Luton and QPR games and after that just decided to concentrate on the home games! And they haven''t been much better either! Oh yeah, although it''s not very London, the MK Dons Carling Cup game was a bit of a classic as well!

Predictions for play offs.
Ealing Canary replied to jon francis's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
71 points is incredibly low to get into the playoffs. As posted a few weeks ago it''s been 75/76 points minimum to get into the playoffs the last 5 seasons. That said, I hope you''re right, will be one hell of an exciting run in! -
Anyone going to palace
Ealing Canary replied to InLambertWeTrust!'s topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I''ll give it a miss this time round. It''s a disappointment every time we play there! After the 3-3 game last season I had to tentatively make my way through Norwich and Palace "fans" brawling in the street! I''d rather not repeat that experience! -
Foley speech shortly
Ealing Canary replied to allways travelling's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I hope not, my chin still hasn''t recovered from the last time! [;)] -
There is something in Iwan''s book saying that thre reason is due to the perceived slope of the pitch. Apparently it''s slightly downhill towards the River End.

Very interesting exchange of emails, but from that I think the following paragraph sums up the whole situation: "You would have expected that the players who came into the dressing room having scored 3 goals and taken 3 points against Brighton would feel uplifted. But the mood amongst them was extremely subdued given the booing during the game and the protests after it. Is this what you want? Whatever your views about the Manager, aren''t we all here to achieve the best results possible? After a difficult run, surely the best chance of obtaining such results and motivating the players is loud support of them, rather than demonstrations right outside the changing rooms?" Basically, you''re not allowed to protest in the stadium with "riot inciting" banners, especially if they are flammable. They don''t want you to shout "Worthy Out" or boo in the stadium as this will have a negative affect on the players performance. They don''t want you hold a protest outside the front of the ground as it upsets the players in the changing rooms. So where the hell are people so supposed to protest? Round the back of the Jarrold Stand out of earshot of those who the protests are aimed at? In the Morrisons car park? Castle Mall shopping centre? We all know that the board don''t want to sack Worthy, but how long will they put up with the discontentment of the fans and the negative effect it''s having on the players? It sounds to me that the protests are working. Also, no matter what you think of the board at this present moment, I love the fact that you can get this sort of contact with a board member so easily. I doubt there is another club like it.

I agree with Worthy (for once!)
Ealing Canary replied to Yellow Rider's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I agree with that, it''s not Hughes''s fault Worthy keeps picking him! Personally I won''t be booing him on Saturday.....mainly because I can''t be bothered to go this weekend! After watching the rubbish that''s been served up recently I''m going to the golf course instead! -
3-0 against a team in the relegation zone who were down to 10 men and have only won once on their travels this season and have conceeded 31 goals in the process! That''s certainly "one on the chin" for the Worthy Outers!

Ealing Canary replied to Pyro Pete's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
It''s a very sorry state of affairs when a scrambled point at Hull saves Worthy''s job. -

Earnie scores. Does that prolong Worthy''s tenure? I hope not. -
''How long until we conceed? I will say within 25 minutes.'' 24:40 GOAL - Leon Cort Hull 1 - Norwich 0 Unbelievable.
Unbelievable? Don''t think so, it''s been happening all season! I just hope that post about Worthy being sacked if he doesnt win today is true! I see Danny Crow''s scored again as well! -

''Fortress Carrow Road'' has now affectionally been dubbed ''Porous Carrow Road'' by my p1ss taking mates. -
unless worthy resigns im not renewing
Ealing Canary replied to YGB's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
I too am not renewing unless we get a new manager. I guess that means I''m no longer a "proper supporter" but to be honest I''ve had enough of the ineptitude that is Norwich City. Why should Worthy get paid £££''s for nearly two seasons of poor management? If the board do the sensible thing and get rid of him (which I guarantee they won''t) and replace him with someone with fresh ideas I''ll be on the phone to renew straight away. Not holding my breath though. -
There is no way that the board will sack Worthy. Read the article about last nights meeting. You only need to read two words: Infinite patience

I think this has been done a few times over the last month or so, but now that we''ve entered the final third of the season I thought I''d bring the topic up again: Will we make the playoffs? Looking back through the history books, the points required to scrape into the playoffs for the last 6 seasons have been: 2005 - 73 2004 - 73 2003 - 74 2002 - 75 2001 - 74 2000 - 76 Which is an average of 74.16, so rounded down is 74 points. We currently have 39 points with 15 games to go, meaning that we need 35 points or 2.33 points per game just to even stand a chance of making the playoffs. By my calculations this leaves us requiring one of the following runs of results as an absolute minimum: W11 D2 L2 or W10 D5 L0 or W12 D0 L0 And the fixtures are as follows: Ipswich (H) Hull (A) Brighton (H) Derby (H) Palace (A) Stoke (H) Leeds (A) Sheff Utd (H) Burnley (A) Leicester (H) Preston (A) Sheff Weds (A) QPR (H) Cardiff (A) Wolves (H) IMHO it''s never going to happen, but at least the next 4 fixtures are very winnable so at least we can keep this debate open for a few more weeks before we resign ourselves to another year in this league! I have it on good authority that Earnshaw is coming to watch the match at Reading tonight with the intention of signing. However after we get beaten 5-0 without any Norwich players having a shot on target, he''ll suddenly develop a severe case of writers cramp and quickly make his escape back up to the Midlands.
