  1. I'm saying that the established rule prevents them from undermining customers too. So it's not something everyone would like to see abolished. Personally, I like that live matches are sandwiched around the 3pm kickoffs as it's great if you're going to a match and going to a pub before or after. So yes, it's antiquated, but there's more to it for me than just protecting lower league attendances.
  2. It's also doing people out of watching live games on their BT/Sky subscriptions if they go to games themselves. So it would undermine the value their own viewers get too.
  3. Twice you've called it "Canary TV" now, at least get the clubs channel correct when you're promoting the act of ripping it off.
  4. Would be very interesting if there's a long stoppage in either half to see what happens. I'm most curious whether officials would drop a few minutes off the calculated time to appease Sky, you wouldn't want it to occur, but I wouldn't rule it out either.
  5. 14:45 is where the blackout starts on Saturdays.
  6. Well that was interesting from Pep, was he saying "more tempo" to Haaland before he knocked the camera away?
  7. Ridiculous finish that, you'd say there was an element of luck if you hadn't seen him do it so many times before. Is it power of the mind at play, or something physical in him?
  8. The dodgy streams are coming from Canaries TV, I presume? In which case, how can people define if the stream or canaries tv is at fault if they're not paying(?!) As @Nuff Said, whenever I've used the club service it's been pretty solid.
  9. Wonder if anyone has gone up behind Barnes in the hotel tonight and sang "It could've been you... It could've been you..."
  10. Because we opted to utilise the player rather than cash out when his stock was high, which provided us with 2 seasons in the prem league and 2 titles in the championship. While it's unfortunate how the past two seasons went and have caused his value to drop, I wouldn't want to be Coventry in this comparison personally.
  11. Tomorrow will be excellent opportunity to see where we are. Before Saturday I was thinking that Idah should go out on loan and we bring in another forward, potentially on loan, too. But after the weekend, my opinion has completely changed. Same with Rowe. I think if we had 5-6m to put into a player right now, it would be in the central mid position - but you couldn't guarantee them gametime. So, I can see how Wagner is relatively happy with how things are at this moment. It will only be signings outside of the expected Aarons and Rashica that would trigger us bringing someone in - as you'd think they would've been part of the budgeting by the club already.
  12. I have thought the same, but thinking it through and presuming he will be gone by Christmas, the accounts submitted which will include activities taking place in this window is not going to show under his name anyway. In regards to bank balance, He'll be leaving based on the June 2023 accounts and can't do **** to affect that now. So, if he's going to claim that we were in a healthier state than when he joined it can only come from his mouth. I also don't think he'll have anywhere near the power in the final say as he has previously, either, if this does become a personal goal of his. He can only put recommendations to the board on what the club should do, and being avid fans themselves I expect they're very aware of the importance of Sara at this club.
  13. Someone would have to clear £30m to take him from us. Despite what people keep claiming, we don't need to sell, so it would have to be a sizeable offer for us to consider. He's the heart of our midfield which is a key position, and one without cover... Whereas, Aarons we knew was done here, Rashica was done last season and this is the tail end of that deal going through still, AO will only go if there's a very high offer - but he has nothing like the importance of Sara to this team.
  14. I'm pretty sure that Smith, Webber and Ward are fine impartial auditors acting within conventions. I suppose you're going to start questioning the accidental assignment of director bonuses as travel expenses next?
  15. That's why people are bashing it so heavily then, explains a lot.
  16. Ruddy still at Brum I guess, and Chris Martin at QPR? Is our old (ex-england) goalkeeping coach part of the Southampton setup still? I'm sure he was around the upper management, possible assistant, but don't know if he's part of Russ's setup or not.
  17. I can only imagine the atmosphere around him as his neighbours were cleaning their new cars, and getting extensions built from the back of PPI plans they were mis-sold over the years. I bet that near ruined his life, and made him question all of life's decisions.
  18. At least get it right. He wanted out when we were relegated, and he did wait to jump ship as agreed with the club to give us one of our greatest seasons at Championship level.
  19. Not good, never want to see a player like him not playing football. Hope it's not as bad as feared, he's such a great character too must be heart-breaking with the excitement building around what Emery can deliver this season. My immediate thought is wondering if this is the beginning of a timeline where a replacement comes in (Such as the guy from Gala), and he finds himself unable to push through to the first team, whenever his recovery may be. In the meantime, Webber goes to Leeds in December, Leeds get promoted... And well.... You can probably guess where I'm heading...
  20. We must declare the value of our players differently to other clubs as that isn't tieing up. Unless the value is from a championship period, and the wages compared to prem period - whereas other clubs it's prem value vs prem wages. Also, how do the loanees factor into this? We had high value players on loan which we didn't sign. Normann, Gilmour, Kabak etc.
  21. Talksport just said that Villa chasing that Gala player as Buendia has picked up an injury which could side-line him for a while.
  22. Reading a Gala forum a few days back, I think confirmation of their place in Champions League is a factor, also. I'm not sure how all the qualifying works though. In other news, looks like Spurs have accepted 100 million euros from Bayern for Kane.
  23. Was hoping for a home tie to take the kids up if we beat QPR, oh well.
  24. I think that's a good signing, but £14m? Didn't think he had that kind of value associated to him.
  25. Funny to think that the likes of Gilmour, Kenny and Hanley are probably sat watching Todd play for the team they support in a Champs League qualifier. Sure there's a few messages sent before and after the match.
