1.
Half a loaf is better than no loaf but we need a full loaf.
What about a focaccia or a nice couple of baps [:^)]
 2. The fuss over Beckham is embarrassing. He retired from meaningful football a long time ago. He will raise the profile of PSG worldwide but on the pitch he will offer little.I miss Mario though [:''(]
 3.

Utter B*ll*cks
It''s always nice to engaged in such well reasoned debates...
You should know by now that there are certain players who cannot be even mildly criticised. It''s no real surprise that Holty should have tired in the second half as he is having to do an awful lot of work up top that he probably hasn''t needed to in the past without support. We could do with someone to give him a break and hopefully Becchio and Kamara will do that.
 4.
Apparently there were horns sounded as ''Arry leaned out of his window this morning. How dare these motorists interrupt such a solemn occasion?Has Beckham signed as chief cheerleader for PSG yet?
6.
Holt had a poor game? Some of you people need to get a pair of eyes.Holt and Hoolahan were IMMENSE last night.  Their closing down and breaking up of the Spurs play in their own half was fantastic.  Both tired because of that in the second half, but the point was gained because of their work rate.I despair at how clueless some of you are.
Holt and Hoolahan played WELL in the first half. Both faded in the second but we really only had a replacement for Wes. I don''t think you''re CLUELESS for saying they were IMMENSE. Just a little OVEREXCITED.[;)]
 7. Thought he was a real handful first half but faded badly in the second. Could have done with someone to replace him on about 60 minutes but with Morison out of form and on his way out and Kane seemingly not up to the job at this level he had to stay on. Certainly looked tired and p*ssed off in the last 15 minutes.
 8. Guardian suggesting that Samba was on £147,000 a week after tax at Anzhi. Apparently he''s very keen on the ''vision of Harry Redknapp and Tony Fernandes'' and is looking forward to the ''project''. I bet he is.
 9. But can''t you see that losing Mario leaves the Premier League with a dangerous heel deficit. It was bad enough when Joey Barton left and you had Liam Ridgewell having to step up to the plate to provide the fans with the anger that drives the game. I mean come on Liam Ridgewell should not be wiping his arse with £20 notes. He should be performing in a solid but unspectacular manner for a series of lower Premier League to upper Championship sides before retiring to own a pub. But what choice did he have but to provide us with the kind of tomwankery missing since Barton left for France. As soon as the rumours start or Mario leaving poor Eden Hazard, young and innocent looking Belgian wunderkind, is forced to boot a ballboy in the ribs as a shot across the bows of those who would like to see football dragged out of the cesspit it deservedly flounders in.Be careful what you wish for. Who knows what wrongs will have to be wrought on our beautiful game to achieve balance in the wake of Mario''s departure. Poor Luis Suarez cannot cope alone so others will need to help him. Do you want Johnny Howson to have to push a referee over or Russell Martin to turn up to an autograph signing session in a drunken stupor. IS THAT WHAT YOU WANT???
 10. I like to think that ''Arry will eventually jettison Kevin Bond from that car in order to pick up Nigel Quashie from his Mum''s to complete his days business.I''m quite upset that Mario has left the Premier League. Nobody else seems bothered. Poor Mario.
 11. How does an bog-standard everyday rumour turn into a strong rumour. We should be told.
 12. Thought we ought to have a general dumping ground, I mean thread, for all general rumours, observations and pictures of confused looking young men in enormous headphones being bundled in taxis. Oh and Jim White obviously. I''ll start. Does any one picture sum up Transfer Deadline Day better than this one?
 13.
No-one could complain about that.
Oh I''m sure they could.
 14. I wonder what sort of wages Samba will be on having signed from the famously frugal Anzhi Makhachkala?[;)]
 15. For 45 minutes last night we dominated one of the best midfields in the Premier League. Yes we could do with a little more creativity, as much as I love him a Wes upgrade would be ideal, but these kind of players cost an awful lot of money. What we really need to do is deliver more consistently from wide areas. Snodgrass is capable of putting in some fantastic balls and is our most dangerous attacking player but he is still quite inconsistent and Pilks seems to have lost a little of the belief he had last season. So whilst I don''t necessarily disagree with your point but I''m not sure that the kind of player we would need to fit into Chris Hughton''s preferred formation is available within our price range.
 16. I remember when we had to sign a ''proven Championship striker'' in the January transfer window to get promoted as we couldn''t rely on Holt, Jackson and Hoolahan and when we simply had to sign ''proven Premier League quality'' to stay up last year. Guess what. We didn''t.If we sign Hooper then great. If we don''t then I think we''ll still be fine. Some of you are just itching to get a full house in Graham Humphrey''s Transfer Window Bingo [;)]
 17.
I read somewhere recently that the reason the Spanish league is proving such a rich source of players for the like of Swansea is thhyat the average La Liga wage is £12,000 per week so aside from the really big clubs you can buy the best players from most clubs and give them a substantial wage increase.
That could well be true as La Liga does not have a collective TV deal like the Premier League. So Barca and Real earn a lot more from TV rights than the smaller clubs such as Rayo Vallecano where Swansea signed Michu from. Sporting are one of the bigger clubs in Portugal but even if the same kind of system is in place over there I doubt that the overall TV deal is high enough to make even a bid from a smaller Premier League club such as us something that RVW and his agent would want to dismiss.
 18. He sounds like a character from a Brothers Grimm fairy tale!My initial reaction was that this was just his agent trying to flush out any other potential suitors but the more I think about the more I think we might have a chance. This is his second season in Portugal and despite there being various stories about top clubs in England and Spain keeping an eye on him there doesn''t appear to have been any firm bids made. He might look at us and think that if he can score a decent amount of goals between now and the end of the season and then repeat the trick next season that in eighteen months time he could get a move to a really big club.
 19.
funny how Swansea kept it on the floor all night Shack
Read my post again. I said they were ''noticeably more direct'' by which I mean that they look to get the ball forward a lot quicker. Whether their passing is on the floor or in the air is irrelevant. They are more direct under Laudrup which shows up your original post for the whining anti-NCFC dross that we have come to expect from you.Balanced criticism of the manager, players, tactics etc. is fine but time and time again you use myth and bull$hit to slag of the club you clim to support. But well done for having a season ticket. I''m sure your constant moaning inspires our players to go that extra mile for the cause.
 20.

much as I hate all the love in with Swansea, have to say they were very impressive tonite, just makes you think that when you change manager do you really need to change the way you play like we have under Hughton!
FFS! Do you always have to have a go at the club in every single post you make?
Wouldn''t be so bad if he hadn''t missed the very obvious point that Swansea have changed the way they play. Noticeably more direct under Laudrup than they were under Rodgers.
 21. This is going to get blown way out of proportion. Hazard was a tit and the ballboy was a tit. Hazard in fairness should know better but it looks pretty obvious that the ballboys were told to slow things down. It summed up modern football pretty well I thought but no doubt the moral guardians of the game will demand a ten game ban. Especially as he''s one of them foreigners.
 22. I''m not sure you get the right to gloat when the fans you are winding up support the team who knocked your team out in the previous round. If we beat Villa then by all means gloat away if that''s your thing but gloating now is a bit stupid after they knocked four past us in the previous round.Alternatively you could just get over Paul Lambert and then you don''t need to worry about whether to gloat or not gloat. Why not try it?
 23. Being frozen out by Glenn Roeder was the best thing that ever happened to Simon Lappin. And for all the talk of loyalty I''m pretty sure he had the opportunity to move back up to Scotland during this time but the team who were interested (Motherwell?) couldn''t afford his wages. He got a second chance because of how far we fell (something that signings of his calibre undoubtedly contributed to) and then played an important part in our League One campaign. He was marginalised to a certain extent in the Championship and later in the Premier League but always tried his hardest and never let anyone down. A half decent pro but I''ve never really understood the hero worship. Good luck to him in the next stage of his career.
 24.
There will be things in that that are wrong or people dont agree with but I dont see that there is a squad there that is going to be best set out every week as 4-2-3-1 false 9.
When have we ever played with a false nine?
 25. Maybe the FA have been looking on here and realise that the majority of modern football fans would rather finish 17th in the Premier League than win the FA Cup [:^)]I''m pretty sure I read somewhere that this season was the last time that this would happen and some provision had been made to ensure that the FA Cup final will once again be the last game of the season in the future. Or at least until the next time the FA needs to host some other event to cover the costs of owning an enormous stadium that hardly ever gets used [;)]
