WORTHINGTONS RECORD 2006/2005 - Failed to achieve promotion          - Poor how many players did we have out injuried, how many changes did we have to the team. 2005/2004 - Relegation from the premiership     - Poor how many teams stay up after getting promotted. 2004/2003 - Promotion to the Premiership         - Good for a team like ours this has to be excellent and lets get real. 2003/2002 - Missed out on play-offs                - Poor yes i agree we could of done better 2002/2001 - Got to play-off final                      - Good how many of you expected this 2001/2000 - Saved us from Relegation               - Good where would we be know if this didnt happen div 1 or 2 please get real and get behind the team.
I love how tyhe KTF`s praise the good and make excuses for the bad. We were pre-season favs with the bookies yet and one stage looked to b falling into the relegation battle. The injury excuse includes players like LJ who never really played for us anyway. Managers are judged on their recent record not 3 years ago. Maybe the Sunderland manager should still have a job? Can even one KTF say we played attractive football last year? As for results, we won more games when the crowd started turning negative with chants and protests. (seems like the fans are better at player motivation than Worthington)  Overall Worthy has bought poorly, is tactically inept, played unattractive football and has most importantly delivered poor results. Worthy needs to go before we get relegated.
 2.
If money is so tight WHY did we spend 3 million on one player?
I absolutely agree. If this isn`t more "smoke and mirrors" then it would be crazy to spend that much on Earnshaw. Yes he is a great player but you would hope that 3 million could bring in 3 or 4 quality players which makes more longterm sense. What may have strapped the club is all these loan deals which cost us prem wages. I still say with the right manager we are only 2 or 3 players away from pushing for a promtion place. With the current manager I feel we may be close to relegation. Last year was IMHO apoor divison and we missed a great oppotunity for promotion. This year will be much tougher with more clubs with para money.
 3.

Look for more massive chants of WORTHY OUT this year by the "small minority" LOL.The only way to force a change in management is to stand up at the ground and shout "WORTHY OUT" No manager has ever survived a protest by the majority of the fans. Stand up and be counted.
So you going to practising what you preach?
What about discussing some of the failings of Worthington? Or maybe he has done nothing wrong in your eyes and all the recent unrest at carrow road was an illusion?

I believe it is Worthy''s fault that we have played bad football last season, it IS his fault we didn''t reach our capable position, it IS his fault we have made poor signings. But how is he going to improve if we are just going to throw everything at him??
You are in an extremely small minority of KTF`s who blame Worthington for anything. Most KTFs will never admit Worthy has any mistakes at all. They think we played attractive football, has made great signings, never plays players out of position and is a tactical genius. You asked "how is he going to improve if we are just going to throw everything at him" Thats the point, most WO`s feel he is out of his depth (as he was at Blackpool) You cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Time for him to go

 6.
I know a couple of guys involved with the Trust. They were active at the Royal Norfolk Show, raising £2,000 to purchase more club shares. The more shares they can acquire, the bigger influence they can have on the club. Anyone can join the Trust - I believe it''s run on a one member/one vote system at meetings - and the joining fee of £15 all goes in the pot to buy shares. The contact details are: NORWICH CITY SUPPORTERS TRUST PHIL HARRIS (01603) 765252 - Day, (01603) 432472 - Evening 16 Honey Close, Norwich, NR1 4LJ E-mail: Phil@ncst.org.uk I''m sure they''d be delighted to hear from anyone who cares enough to get involved in giving more say to the fans. Incidentally, I was told that the club are targetting the positions of left-back, right-midfield and striker, as areas to try and bring in stronger players. No names, just that all resources are aimed at these three positions. There was some indication that the club see the young players recently signed on pro terms, as ''new'' acquisitions for the first team - with Worthy set to give them more involvement this year, something he was criticised for not doing last season. I don''t think you can bring the youngsters through AND lots more new signings - there isn''t space on the pitch (unless you dump over half the team!)
So what is their stance on NW as manager? I would never donate a penny to any group that thinks NW is doing a great job.
 7. I love how the few KTF`s left always trot out "if you blame anything on Worthy you are being disloyal" Thats utter tosh. I love the fact that when KTFs quote facts they leave out that it was universally accepted that we played very unattractive hoofball last year as well as losing more games than all but 4 clubs in the division. We were 9th in a very very mediocre division. We were not remotely close to ever getting a playoff place let alone automatic promotion. Look for more massive chants of WORTHY OUT this year by the "small minority" LOL.
 8. Another classic moment caught on video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-KizC6wEys
 9. The spin out of Carrow road before the big season ticket deadline was that they were close to signing a person. It would not surprise me to hear that Worthy will be pulling double duty and coaching the first team.
 10. If Worthy was fired today I think he would be tempted with one year of para payments left, after next year, forget it. We will be forced to sell our better players let alone have a transfer budget.
 11. The big difference is that England looked solid defensively and they looked threatning through the midfield players.
 12. If people truely believe that there has only been "one instance" then there is little point in having a debate.
 13. Am I the only one who is constantly amazed at the spin dressed as info that comes out of carrow road these days. Any transfer "news" has basically no value to the fan. Its basically a way for the club to "use" the media to let other clubs/agents know that they won`t pay their prices. As we speak we currently have one signed fit goalkeeper on our squad who has exactly zero first team experience. Hands up who thinks we will be scrambling around at the last minute brining in loan players and others who are not in demand by other clubs? The idea of pre-season matches is to get the new players playing together as a team On another note what happened to the first team coach they had lined up? or was that just more spin to placate the fans during season ticket renewal.
 14. I know two people who sent letters with their season ticket renewals. They both stated that their renewal should NOT be seen as support for the current management team.
 15.
The difference one having a tag as a current World Cup finals squad member player compared to a Wales player. Yes, Earnshaw is great but in the current climate of Ins & Outs this summer, Green is one of the potentials making the cash tills ring for the spending budget compared to Earnshaw. With one year left to run of Greens contract, it would be in the clubs interest to cash in now before a potential ''Marshall'' scenario happens - which I doubt Green would allow to happen.
Good grief. talk about spin. Green is barely 3rd choice for England and Earnie is considered a starter for Wales Green would have left at Christmas if anybody had made any kind of offer. If anyone thinks Green would command more than Earnie in the current transfer market they are deluded. I predict if Green leaves it will be in the 1-2 million range at most.
 16.

But I hope he does come good for NCFC. Here''s hoping.
Like any player, if he gets a decent run in the side he will improve.  If he improves his fitness he will get a decent run in the side.  He has shown his commitment to improving himself for next season in interviews, I share your hopes that he will continue to improve.
When you pay 500K+ for a player you are looking for good quality from the start not someone who is unfit and is looking to "improve." The truth is the vast majority of Worthys signings  have either been a bust or could not wait to leave.
 17. From his article "Harry has his eyes on Green" "Green has just a year left on his Norwich contract _ although the club have an option for a further year - and City may decide that it would be better to cash in on their biggest asset this summer rather than risk losing out on him financially." Did he have a brain fade? I don`t know anyone who thinks Green is the clubs "biggest Asset" ? Message to Chris, ROBERT EARNSHAW
 18.

I am not sure even in that promotion season that he generated much "connection" with the fans in the way that Bond, Brown and Walker did and also Stringer in his own understated way.
That''s a very good point about connecting with the fans.  Mike Walker didn''t appear to be the most outgoing person, but we must have cheered his name solidly for a quarter of an hour in the ground after the second leg of the Inter game.  Even afterwards when Deehan and Megson were making pigs ears of things was there any hostility towards them?  They needed to be relieved of their duties - subsequently they were and everyone got on with life. Worthington however appears to have a disdain for the fans and I think that therein lies the problem.  Had he been a bit more honest about some of the performaces towards the end of the season rather make up hopeless excuses, there would be less animosity towards him. So it''s a B, just.
I couldn`t agree with this more. Worthington has an arrogant side which totally disconnects him from the fans. His comments in the post match interviews were shocking. The same fans who renewed their season tickets are the same ones shouting WORTHY OUT. If the board thinks that season ticket renewals are a show of support for worthy they are deluded. Maybe they need to ring up a random 250 season ticket holders and ask them if they think Worthy should stay or go.
 19. I want to say well done, you deserve it. Also I would like to know if we will see a little less club biased journalism now we have a different sports team this year? Will reporters forsake relationships at the club to bring us the real news?
 20. "Roberts went at the right time and Iwan suggests Worthington went as far as being upset at having to let him go - unloyal no. But everybody has to face up to reality at some point." Maybe Worthy will face up to reality and realize he has passed his sell by date.
 21. Butcher to Australia................ Chippy to........... :-)
 22.
peter shirliff is only leaving mansfield if worthington ends up with the sheff wed job and will be his no2 at wednesday. This will only happen if as expected tony pullis rejoins stoke allowing sheff wed boss sturrock to rejoin plymouth allowing worthy to go back to wednesday where he has always indicated he wants to manage.
Oh please let that happen, everyone will be happy. Maybe some of the KFT`s will become Sheff Wed fans.
 23. B But frankly after his post match lies and his jibes at the supporters he probably deserves an A
 24. I would favor Fleck. He would breath some fire and energy back into the club. Lets face it Worthy and Livermore and the two most dour managers you could meet. Under the word "grey" in the dictionary is a picture of Worthy. I have said this before but in just about every successful spell Norwich has had we have had at least one fiery Scotish player on the pitch. We need some passion back in the team.
 25.
It would be more cost effective to move Worthless upstairs to chief scout to see out his contract and not to renew the rolling one.The club would then be able to search out  the right man who could then build his staff and team. This may entice more applicants for the post as they could have better funding for their dealings.Worthless would not then end with up with a huge payoff that would effect the club and not the last laugh on us.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Chief scout! It would be cheaper to sack him than let him bring in more hoofers
