  2. Cluck in Boots wrote "How on Earth did we end up in the state we are in right now?"   By an inept manager signing many of the crap players thet were offered a nice 3 year contract as described by alex_ncfc !!!
  3. So Safri and Etuhu had a punch up! That  doesnt surprise me at all given what else has been going on at Colney for ages.  What surprises me is that it has not been denied.  It must definately mean the end for Worthington if the spinners and powers that be have allowed it to be made public. These things have been happening for yonks.  In fact, and this is fact, Shackel and the Worthless one were nose to nose only last week, and before that, Worthy and Jarrett. Say goodbye Nigel
  4. Nothing wrong with seeing a buxom young wench on your screen when talking football!
  5. Neil Doncaster went to the shops the other day for some fags £5.10, a paper 49p, some Immodium plus £3.99 and the Dandy and it cost him £425,000! Well thats what he said anyway! Do you think he collects his clubcard points?
  6. We could debate this all year and still never agree.  I do however agree that no City all time XI should be without Peters or Keelan, but it amazes me that O''Neil, Macdougle, Newsome, Linighan, Paddon and Reeves have not been mentioned.  The list is endless, all different for their own talents and reasons, but compared to todays shower of s#''t, even Dale (one trick) Gordon looked good! Anyway, whats wrong with Andy Hughes!  The best clapper that we have ever had!
  7. “We are trying to make noises at our end with regard to people we are interested in but other people are not playing ball,” he said.   Have any of your signings managed to play ball?!!!!! Not the best choice of words Nigel given your history!Asked whether he was resigned to making the Scottish trip without new recruits, he said: “At the moment, I think it''s 99 per cent certain that will be the case.”I think most of us knew that in MayJust be honest Nigel and admit that over the last year or so you have blown our entire budget with your transfers, loans and releases.
  8. Catches the worm, not make excuses.  Could these early ''hands-tied'' comments be seen as pro-active in that when it goes wrong he can say ''told you so in July''? Surely not, just me being a cynic. I am not too sure about the romour that the board are withholding cash, I just genuinely believe the club to be skint, with the Worthy one spending any cash we did have on poor loan signings, poor free signings (Jarrett close to 1m total fees and wages) and even poorer signings. If he really was one of the ''top young coaches'' around as Delia so often stated, why cant he attract ambitious young players here for small fees as Boothroyd and Coppell managed to do?  Cynical? Ha                                  My father always said: " If a dog cr#ps on your carpet and you dont tell it off, it will do it again"
  9. So what are you trying to say then Ralph?  Do you not agree with our comments?  If so say so.  The fact that we may have a similar writing style does not mean that we are the same person.  But thats not the issue here.  The issue is about being patronised by the same person that only a few years back was begging for our cash.I asked in a previous post, that if city were about to launch another share issue, or need cash for the academy, would Worthington still be in charge given the amount of consistant criticism and protest that he has recieved, not just on here, but in the local press, radio and elsewhere?I hope that has answered your question Ralph.  Mind you, trying to divert the original post and question to something else far removed from the original question..........are you Doncaster?
  10. How nice to see Mr Doncaster back in our press.  Lots of positive words, optimism, reason plus the ''get that one in there quick'' retort! “I''m sure people would prefer that we brought in players that we believe in. There''s no point in buying a player in purely for the sake of it to appease the view that we need some more players. We do need more players, we have a budget to spend and we will deliver those players but if you try and force the issue, you will end up overspending, possibly on players that you don''t necessarily want, and that isn''t in anyone''s best interests."Really? Isnt that what Nigel did last year?“As a club, we''ve been as ambitious as we can be over the last few years. We''ve invested very heavily in players.”And many of them were sold on with a profit or released on a free! Great business“We''ve got a net debt approaching £20m, so making any money available out of our cash flow for players is difficult. That said, money is available and we will continue to try to use it to its best effect."Had to get that old chestnut in didnt we!  Looks like another share issue again then.I really now honestly believe that black is white.  Thanks
  11. back him or sack him............sack him. I do believe that there will be signings, but non of the calibre that we would expect or deserve.  Well not until he pulls something out of the hat, maybe an experienced ''utility man'' type, hard working, honest, character......oh no.....he is going to ask Carlton Palmer out of retirement!
  12. I have always maintained that if you were a player with no future or keep being palmed off on loan and Worthless offered you a contract at a club like city, you would come here.  Its not their faults.  OK many are not good enough, but hey, if I was offered a contract, I would have a go, and I am dire! ha  As long as they work there guts out whilst wearing the shirt, then no one should blame or mock them. It is also not the fault of the few decent players that we have playing out of position. Two people are to blame.  Worthy for deciding the (lack of) tactics, buying poor stock and getting rid of any half decent player (or coach) willing to question him.  It is also the fault of the chairman for sticking by such an inept, useless, excuse making joke.
  13. And one of the worst coaches to qualify for his badges!  If he was such a good coach, why didnt Gillingham or Cambridge want his services.  Get rid of the lot and bring in something new
  14. So now Foley has gone.  IMO they should keep going!  But no, they put the usual spin on it! ''Good old Steve, top bloke, but we need to freshen things up'', which basically means that Foley has been made a scapegoat for the Worthless ones mistakes.  ''Not selling Ashton sooner was a mistake''.....Deano, had you of left earlier our performances would have been better as we would have spent the cash on more ''average'' players! Yeah right''Look at all these season tickets sold!''  Told you that the WO''s were a minority.  Utter tripe!  What about those of us who renewed in the hope that he would be gone?  What about the 3 year tickets?
