"is Ashton overrated?" Simple answer 2 that is...NO!!! If van nistellrooy was playing upfront in our team in the last 7 games he wouldnt of scored any more than 3 goals because he just wouldnt of got the service, the exact lack of service that Ashton hasnt recieved so far this season! But as the team improves the service 2 the strikers will improve, and more goals 4 Ashton will come!

Yeh Davenport was great, so was doherty(makin the pass 4 hucks goal), the whole back 4 played wel! the whole midfield played wel, the 3 front boys played wel! worthington played wel! Great all round team performance, with real passion and pride 4 the club!!!!!

yeh i agree with you, northern canary, totally on this one, when i saw the starting 11 and the bench, the 1st thing that got me was, where''s Shackell? not even on the bench!!! does he have an injury that only worthy and co no about???....If i was a defender playing 4 scum today, and if i knew that Huckerby wasn''t starting against me, i would be mighty relived!

At the moment i dont really care about if worthy gets sacked in the near future, and who will take over? Im far more interested in getting behind worthy and the team with passion and pride 2DAY! Welcome Stuart! Yeah the situation that our club finds itself in at the moment is a real shame. I get the sense that its a "Worthingtons taken us as far as he can." Will he be sacked in the near future maybe, maybe not?, in the end results will tell. At the moment from a new managers point of view this is a very attractive club 2 come and manage at. correct? good players/potential, very well organised and in good financial state. Sundays game is very important! lets be avin u!!!!

My starting line up for tomorrow would be: Green Colin  Davenport   Shackell Drury McVeigh Hughes Safri Huckerby Lisbie Ashton Both the goals that scum scored against southampton came from corners, so that is partly why i would choose davenports height ahead of fleming. Huckerby on his return should cause lots of problems 4 scums defence. Somehow i cant see marney (if playing on the right) bein up 4 the match as much as WLY would be!!! But which ever 11 players start the match tomorrow, they have got 2 be up 4 it like mad, with which worthington and hes fellow staff have a large say in!!! and I want 2 see all our players wearing and playing in the yellow shirt with real pride, but with worthington in charge that might not ever happen again...we''ll see!

yeh i totally agree with everything you''ve said there. When huckerby is back i think we should try and partner him with deano up front, where he can just play a free role behind ashton.

yeh McVeigh was very sharp today i felt, and 2 an extent he did feel like a whole new player. ...Well done 2 the N&P stand today, we made as much noise as anyone today, and the atmosphere was great!!!!

Yeh i agree, support was great from the word go, with "worthington''s green army" being chanted loud and proud many times. I didnt think any player had a bad game, everyone played well. We also seemed 2 get stuck in a bit more today than we have in previous matches this season, winning more 50/50 balls. imo safri and Shackell were my "men of the match". Hughes looked really good after recoverin from his injury, gettin stuck in alot in the middle of the park! the whole back 4 (Cloin, Flem, Shacks, Drury), had their bad moments, but 4 most of the match looked very solid. On the whole an impressive performance, with everyplayer playin well. so lets build on this now, and onwards and upwards from now on!!!!! On the ball city....

Firstly he takes off S.wright-phillips, who did hav trouble with controlling a football last nite, but was stil our best attacking outlet. He plays Rooney on the left, what on earth was he thinkin when he did that i really dont know!
