So what was the difference?

@Lincoln, Your last two paragraphs are spot on the money for me. As inconsistent as last season I feel whilst things take shape.- 47 replies

I am not buying into this Farke hype
Coq au vin replied to Captain Birdseye's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Pre-season was too kind, we should have been tonked in it by one of the teams to calm everyone down. I''d rather be smacked early than do an Adams or Neil get off to a flyer and be done half way through the autumn. -
That was me IB and I fully stand by it! I love your (Semi) accurate stuff about Hughton and Wolfswinkel. The failure that was our biggest ever hype signing is the stuff of Hollywood.

I''m a Norwich fan why would I care about Brighton?

They don''t have a large enough squad to make it through the season without capitulating. Let them have their time in the sun.- 22 replies

How much are Villa paying John Terry ?

Cardiff might well be a rank outsider this season. Hmm -

Anything that gets David Schwimmer a bit part is alright by me -
S''Drland are due a spanking at our gaff after relegating us in ''16. Pray NO is the man to deliver the suckerpunches. No ''friendly cup'' just a down right tonking on behalf of a Canaries support that endured such a shitty few seasons

And God love him for it and let the breath of Zeus blow continually in his sail!

"We few. We happy few. We band of brothers!" Agincourt 1415. Amazing TV show too. -
Didn''t play on the left enough ;)

The good news for Norwich City is we do have cover in that area - rubbish for Alex Pritchard though. Thing is now it only serves to showboat Maddison''s talents, which is bad for us if we want to keep hold of him in the long run. Plus side means Pritchard will be around a while longer I''d think. Peaks and troughs in all of it.

You know IB will be along shortly... It''s been a while tbf...

I love anything to do with Ricky and this made my day. Pure class from the purest place - almost as clinical as that Craven Cottage ghosty.

Surely we''d play Josh from start instead of Naismith given his suspension? Naisy will probs come on as sub

You inspired me Ron. Please read to the tune of ''Candle in the Wind'' Goodbye Tony Dreu Though I never knew you at all You had the grace of Fabregas With or without the ball. You came down from Accidemics Where the SPL is shite They set you on the treadmill To help City''s promotion plight And it seems to me you lived your life in the under 23s Never knowing who to pass to in the senior team And I would have liked to traded you for the real Fabregas Your contribution burned out long before your legend forever lasts.

I''ve commented on every single one of NO''s Instagram photos with "Don''t worry NO, it''ll work out, please stay. teddy bear iPhone emoji" I''m still waiting on a reply.

@Kick it off, one game doesn''t make a season does it? I saw, last season, a number of games Nelson whinge at others around him for not providing the ball to his feet. Cambridge friendly he was moaning at Wildschut for the most part. I''m not demonising him, he''s a good player. Im am bored however of reading about it and I''m entitled to my opinion about his work rate as are you.
-
RB, from what I''ve seen sometimes he''s quite lazy, wants the ball delivered to him on a platter and moans if it isn''t, doesn''t track back to defend enough, doesn''t chase and harry. But like others have said, that''s not his game.

Sometimes I wonder that the local rag journos don''t help cultivate this mindset some folks have. This morning the EDP ran ''Player Watch'' on Vrancic and the concluding paragraph was "does not look strong enough for the battle, oddly, for a man who was playing in the Bundesliga last season. Must up his game – and quickly." The guys played one league game so far. How can you judge him on that? Bailey''s been particularly negative on the match feeds lately too. Im not rainbows and lollipops but crying out loud, patience. If the EDP exuded this sentiment, instead of release crap about players having to perform at 100% quickly then this realistic expectation might filter down to some of the fans ffs!

Isn''t Tom Trybull a defensive mid? He was left out yesterday as fitness needs catching up.
