1. What is interesting about his departure is that they just devoted 6 pages on him in the Canary magazine (spring 2015) which is telling us what a great job he has done since joining in the summer, so something big has happened, doubt we will ever know ?
2. I hear from a reliable source that he upset Mr McNally, Sir, on here going under some strange avatar, not sure what ? probable he will never be seen again.........
3. Please watch this, and see the influence Hucks has on the youngsters at the academy, both 15 years old, worth watching Hope link works https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmEX10DFa6w If anyone could help with a "clicky" would be appreciated
4. How about Leroy Fer, in his opinion he left us to go and establish himself as a PL star with a squad much better equipped to survive in the top flight, think he should be in nominations, 2 successive PL relegations (none of which would be in anyway to do with him) this after appearing in the world cup finals, give him the recognition he deserves..........................
5. Nice to see Russ keeping on the charm, and the right side of the gaffer !
6. Haha cracking post, award has to go to Whitts, unless he goes and spoils it over the next few games by scoring a hat trick or something silly !! then we could start on Cuellar for his constant giving away of penalties or Lafferty for his yellow cards ?
7. Agree with Howson arriving in the box like he does, his goals (also from outside the box, ie Milwall) can unlock stubborn defences, suits the AN way, raised his level recently IMO.
8. To stick with the original thread, the view from Arsenal is he will need a full season out on loan at a prem club (missed the opportunity for this season), and with Wellbeck, Giroud, Wallcot and Sanchez to name but a few, there is a way to go for this young man, taking him on loan now could benefit us next season also ?
9. With Michael Bailey summarising it perfectly and Shyster suggesting we should off load him at the end of the season if we go up, I''m all confused, who is right, let me think ????? looking forward to the premier next season with the Irish magician in full flow.
10.
If your on arsenals books from the age of 9 and you get offered a pro contract your not a bad footballer. I''m sure most on here would take afobe now he''s doing well at wolves? There''s still such a gulf in youth quality, I always use redmond & the murphys as a comparison, all good footballers but redmond is streaks ahead. Alex neil said he thought josh was one of the best on the training pitch when he turned up, so why isn''t he involved? Hopefully his loan can benefit us. End of the day we need a squad, were lacking depth up top now lafferty and grabban aren''t available. Neil made a good point about the Prem clubs needing to keep hold of established forwards, if akpom and come off the bench and cause problems, 6 ft strong and quick. Id much prefer that than to end up paying £10 million or something at end of the season for a McCormack/Rhodes loan to perm deal, when in reality we could get much better in the summer with that cash if that does happen
I think the clue with Josh is in the statement from AN, "when he turns up", hopefully his stint at Wigan will do him good and he will come back better for it.
11.
Akpom is super, super raw but there is a huge amount of talent in there. As mentioned he is lightening fast and strong, so will add an extra dimension to Norwich''s attacking options. Seems strange people comparing him to the Murphys when they are wingers and he is a striker. Is his potential arrive going to potential get in the way of Loza''s and Morris''s development? Yes - but if he is a better player and scores the goals to get Norwich promoted should we really care? Pretty much all of Norwich''s main rivals have used the loan market to great effect - Derby and Boro would be much further down the table if it wasn''t for Ince, Bent and Bamford respectively. Also, it seems a host of Championship clubs want Akpom - getting him might mean he doesn''t go to Derby or Bournemouth. Which is reason enough to bring him in.
Great post Bethnal, good points well made
12. Has to be Bradley for me, still time for Wessi to take 2nd, another 7 performances like Saturday and he could be the difference to our success or failure.
13. Amazing the reaction of some on here, our manager has decided he wants a player on loan to help out for the last 7 games, he is not going to get an established prem striker in, so he is going for someone young and fearless, he may not even feature (but suspect he will), have some trust, in the manager and the club you support, if you do indeed support Norwich (shyster)
14. its hearts fans celebrating tonight, and Hibs lost again !
15. Looked more like Jerome wanted to take it and Wes politely said no thanks Cam, this mine, to go with my MOM bubbly
16. Have a horrible feeling its going to take 88 points, hence we will need 6 wins, can''t see Bournemouth with their run in slipping up now (only Ipswich is there tough one) can see them getting 91 points, then rest fighting for 2nd place
17. Olsson could always lend you some gloves and tights, he finds them very comforting...........
18. And still one year left on his contract, maybe best is to get £1m and off the wage bill when St Etienne send him back...
19. MOM, deserves praise, having us knocking on the door deserves praise, for keeping our season well and truly alive deserves praise, if carlsberg did football managers....................
20. Totally agree, while Wessi was MOM today, thought Whitts was a contender for his performance today.
