  1. If that goal was scored by Arsenal, then Lineker would be creaming himself.
  2. If that''s the case CJRV, why do you think AN bought Andreu?
  3. quote user="Herman "]Aah, that''s what it was. There was a mention of a commotion down that end. Nothing too serious by the sounds of it. [/quote     It just seemed to set off a mass exit. There was a coming together of two fans, when one, who was leaving, stood in front, of another, who was staying, words, were exchanged, and the stewards had to separate them. Didn''t actually see any punches, but it was a strange few minutes
  4. Flood of water was in the bar area, under the stand!
  5. In the Lower River End there was a flood of water just at the end of half time, making it impossible to go that way, hence the need for fans to leave from the front of the stand.
  6. That was ridiculous Mind The Gap. Under normal conditions you don''t get a quarter of those leaving early, but that tannoy seemed to start a veritable stampede! It got to appoint when people couldn''t see because of the exitees, and there were a couple of confrontations and lots of swear words. It''s not the easiest of stands to leave quickly from, but people seemed to almost panic to get away
  7. Noone has always had lots of energy/pace and has looked a threat when he has played us. If we were to get only one, then I would choose him, as has been said, Dorrans seems to be similar to what we have, but I won''t say no! We still have O-O to come back and he could have a big influence on this team. Bring it on
  8. Jacob Murphy was a good judge!   He can''t get in our squad, but he would have looked a worldy in that team, shame he blew it.
  9. Yes Dunne did look decent, but O''Hara has the ''pedigree'' but that''s not a high level at all. What have their owners done with that Club? Shameful
  10. Alartz - were you doing the Poznan all game today, or didn''t you go?
  11. They were awful. How on earth did they go 2-0 up away at Watford? I can understand how they let in 7 though, in the same game! If Jamie O''Hara is your best player, you are going down
  12. That''s absolutely fine Daz, and I am not here to try and convert people, just to help explain to them a bit more on it. Although I am struggling to understand Branston''s explanation of why he has played and watched, Rugby a few times ,and watched it last night, if he thought it is stupid. Life is too short to waste your time on stupid things BP!! :) As for going to hospital, why? Just because there was a show of blood, doesn''t mean hospitalisation is required. In the old days (before blood bins) , I have played with a broken nose for most of a game. Adrenalin/wanting to play was my driving force then, and if you are playing for your Country , then that feeling must be tenfold, and you certainly do not want to go off easily. (I wish International footballers would learn a thing or two from that!) I find things like Ballet and Opera not holding my interest at all, but I will respect those that do get enjoyment from it, without calling it stupid. We are all different
  13. Herman, I think we must have eaten the same cheese, as I had a dream last night, of us drawing 1-1 against a struggling team Last time I had a football dream we were going to win 6-0, but could only win 6-1! A comfortable win you would think, but we have blown these situations already this season, so there can be no more repeats of those days.
  14. I disagree about the differences between League and Union. League players could learn so much from Union about for example, running lines, and offloading the ball before the tackle, but League players seem to put more emphasis on going into to try and ''bust'' the tackle, as they don''t have to worry about recycling the ball. League players are physical ''beasts'', but haven''t got the game ''brains'' of Union players After 5 tackles, it''s more about kicking it and half the time, it''s to  try and get lucky with it. There are (potentially) a  lot more phases in a Union attack, therefore needs a lot more thought. Daz, there are a wide range of components to a Union team (as say, opposed to a football team) and various subtleties and nuances, that make it fascinating (to me!) in a sport that goes at 100 miles an hour. There is the already mentioned, physical side of Football and Rugby, and, as much as I love both sports, the feigning of injury in Football, appals me. Football, by numerical definition is the biggest sport on the Planet, but it could learn so much from other sports, and Rugby is definitely one of them.
  15. quote user="Branston Pickle"]Great to see England win at anything, especially so given the hype for Wales - but rugby is and always will be a pretty stupid game and a very poor relation to football.[/quote       Why do you say that Branston?
  16. quote user="Daz Sparks"]Rugby is non entertainment.[/quote   Didn''t like what you saw Daz?
  17. Too right, thank heavens there wasn''t any high pitched Opera stars, practising their skills. Leave it to the deep voices to stir the emotions up. I don''t care where this thread should be, or if it''s NCFC related or not, that was a great result, controlled the game 2nd half
  18. Darth Boooo - I refer you to other cases, such as Suarez, where certain words may be part of certain countries, language, and deemed ''acceptable'' there, but not in other cultures. I would love Cameron Jerome to do a ''Suarez/Evra'' at Elland Road and not shake his hand, before the kick off, but just stare at him, and then run him ragged, with perhaps, an accidental, split second late, tackle or header during the game.
  19. Wow, go away for a few days , and this thread reaches 26 pages! I haven''t read it through, but I hope it was full of reasoned debate, and interesting opinions....................?
  20. Plymouth to beat Accrington   City  bet -  more than 3.5 goals in the game   Fingers crossed to make some money for a great cause
  21. To me, that looks like Jerome has suffered because of Turner''s and Cuellars bad games last week (Bassong and Martin in, then Whittaker moved, then, Tettey and Johnson in, then going with solo striker) Whittaker can thank his lucky stars to be starting because of all that
  22. With the greatest of respect Pete, you said something similar a long time ago Please treat us as adults and give us some details as to how progress is going, or even if any, or what, work has taken place, as opposed to a one word answer.   If you are trying to create the ''Christmas Eve'' excitement, we are ALL beyond that on here
  23. If Bournemouth keep getting to play against 10 men, due to dodgy decisions (anyone seen last nights? That one was made by Lee Probert......., truly awful) then they will have a great chance, to add to their excellent play
