SeattleCanary 0 Posted April 16, 2014 Rock The Boat -I think we should be proud of Seattle Canary. A Norfolk lad carving out a good career in the US. Wish there were more like him. Paul''s Ferry - Absolutely. He is very rude to other posters though.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Appreciate the support RTB, thank you.Paul, if you look back I have been very polite with posters in my first encounter with them, but a ''relationship'' has been built with Morty and Nutty over time of being ridiculed and shouted down. I then lost my patience with the so called ''big ego'' and treat those posters with a special approach (rude you may say). That is pretty much it in a nut shell. But I suppose it was totally acceptable that when we beat Tottenham there was a thread titled "Gloat"? - Which had contributions by posters including Morty saying they were right to stick by Hughton, and us ''outers'' were wrong and they revelled in the ''I told you so''. But when I make a point of re-raising a prediction I suddenly have an ego?The 2 main posters for me I have an issue with are NN and Morty. There aren''t really any others tbh. Crabby seems to have an issue, but I try to ignore him as he never seems to address me directly, more like the whiney kid who shouts ''fight'' to the side in the playground. Other than that, I have no issue personally with others.I''m happy to stick a tenner in if we stay up. Genuinely don''t know how to get it to the Rays fund as I''ve never done it before, and I''m based full time in the USA now. NN will have to let me know if Western Union or if some form of transfer like that will work?
crabbycanary 2 Posted April 16, 2014 Seattle, you are something else. I have no problem addressing you directly.I liked your whiney kid analogy btw.If we are allowed to have an opinion, different to yours, I would say you are the kid that when no one is looking, pushes someone, and by the the time teacher has looked round, you are getting pushed back, and gets them into trouble when they have been provoked. Mind your halo doesn''t slip. You would never talk to people, face to face, like you have done on more than one occasion on here, because you would end up in the gutter. You are patronising, and rude, and you can''t put that down to your age, as I believe you say you are in your twenties, and married? We all have opinions, and despite your holier than thou protestations, you have struggled, on here, at times, to have decent conversations, and allow people a different opinion to yours , without your pathetic name calling, pedantic grammar corrections (which you fail to see the irony of) , or really going to town with some choice words. You really have gone to town, on here, over the last few months, and a pattern is emerging. A Discussion Board is just that, not a chance for you to flex your keyboard muscles

My pride in this community on this message board certainly isn''t mis-placed. But what about you others on this thread? You all had something to say about the honourable bet so why not join the other honourable posters and make a pledge?

So weird I was just looking the thread up, and reposted on it. To be honest all the talk against the ''pant wetters'' and how we wouldn''t go down, really shows his knowledge of the game and his awareness to this season. Taken everything he has said with a pinch of salt.[/quote]But Seattle, before you gloat to Mark, you''ve just suggested that you are correct in that we have been relegated. Doesn''t seem the case to me, Mark''s still correct on that front as it stands so I wouldn''t celebrate just yet...Eddie, this Rays Funds business, after being on this board since it''s inception (lost my first log in) I''m ashamed to say I still don''t really know how the PUP''s thing works, I understand it raises money for our youth team (I think?), how can I get involved mate? nutty nigel 7,555 Posted April 17, 2014 Iflike Alex you’re reading this and wondering what it’s all about I’ll explain. Many of youprobably notice these threads and assume it''s not for you. Nothing could befurther from the truth. Us PUPs are not an exclusive club. Anyone can takepart, it''s free to join in and the only requirement is to post a selection oneach weeks thread. Here is abrief run through for anyone who may be interested :- The PinkUn Message Board''s Rays Funds Thread: - Thesethreads were set up by my good friend Ray Ducker (Arrdee) to raise money forthe Academy. There’s a new thread every week where Pink Un Pickers (PUPs) fromall over the world unite to try and get a winning line of six correct results fromthe weekends football fixtures. As from August 2013 we have been raising moneyfor the Community Sports Foundation. Us PUPs all decided that whilst theacademy has so much investment our funds didn’t make a difference in the waythey had in the past. The football club supported us through the change andsupport us the same now as when the funds went to the academy. How ItWorks : - EveryWednesday during the season I start the new weeks thread. The ''Pink Un Pickers''(PUPs) then select their ''nap bet'' for the weekends football fixtures that arelisted on William Hill or Bet365. On the Friday evening the nominated pickerfrom our PUPs rota selects 6 results from the weeks picks. I then place the betand post the bet and the odds on here by the Saturday lunchtime. The PUPs rotais made up of the previous seasons top 40. This usedto be sponsored but it''s financed by the PUPs themselves. There is norequirement to pay to play but obviously we need £400 per season. Thesedonations are made to me personally or via paypal on canaryeddie@aol.com. This is also the email addressfor anyone who wishes to contact me. Thisseason an anonymous benefactor has funded a match bet where the PUPs who won’tbe making the final selections this season have chosen how to spend a fiver onthe weekend’s Norwich game. Again suggestions are made on the thread from whichthe week’s nominated picker can make a choice or go with their own. Have wewon? : - So farthere have been 54 winning weeks, and 6 more with the match bet, in which wehave won £2038 for the academy and £495 for the CSF making £2533 in total. There have been plenty of near misses too and the ''Pink Un Pickers'' have had alot of fun trying. Want ToTake Part? : - Justregister with the Pink Un Message Board and post your very best selection onthe thread which is up every Wednesday during the season. It''s as simple asthat. The CSF will benefit if by the end of the season:Palace stay up.We win any game.We draw any game.RvW does not score in open play.RvW does score (including own goals).RvW ends up equalling or outscoring Hooper.Hooper scores a goal.We score a goal.We draw a game.We win a game.We beat Liverpool. We stay up.We go down.
