DannyNCFC7 4 Posted April 19, 2013 So Norwich City want a good atmosphere tomorrow and get be hide the lads as well. One question will the steward let the Barclay and snakepit stand or not?
Gingerpele 0 Posted April 19, 2013 Why should the stewards let the Barclay and snake pit stand? It''s against the rules. Ok it probably shouldn''t be anymore, it would be perfectly easy enough to set up safe standing areas. Standing in front of your seat is safe, away fans do it. But stewards aren''t going to let home fans do it as they club will get in trouble. Some away stewards are stricter than others as well.

Branston Pickle 4,148 Posted April 19, 2013 I don''t quite get the concept that you have to be stood to make a noise, no one minds standing at the ''right'' time but it doesn''t have to be game-long.
technika 0 Posted April 19, 2013 strictly speaking standing up allows you to breathe better, and lets your diaphragm work properly, so yeh a group of people standing will make more noise than the same amount sitting, normallybe interesting to see if everyone stood
Branston Pickle 4,148 Posted April 19, 2013 No one is saying that people are singing like a massed choir, they want to chant a bit! And Yes, it would be very interesting when the club got a fine and had to close part of the ground....

The Ghost of Percy Varco 0 Posted April 20, 2013 Without doubt, standing helps you singing louder and with more force.I would suggest that those of you who disagree are a large part of the problem at Carrow Road as I imagine you sit there quietly all match moaning there is no atmosphere, assuming you go to matches.Whether standing should be allowed by the stewards is another matter. nutty nigel 7,902 Posted April 20, 2013 I sat the entire game in the blankets! We had those clappy things though. I reckon for all the pretentious moaning about them they actually helped improve the atmosphere as did the parading of legends and the U18s before kick off. Mr Brownstone 0 Posted April 20, 2013 People can say that it doesn''t/shouldn''t make a difference all they want, but sorry, it does.Only sat down at half time. Great atmosphere in the Barclay today, nothing like 3 points in the sunshine to make the world seem a better place.

Does that mean someone made a noise in the River End and it constitutes as atmosphere or did they just sit down and hit their clappers on their knee?
