USA Canary 7 Posted June 18, 2012 Fixtures released today. So who do you all think will we have in our first match? I have a feeling it will be one of the newly promoted teams and I''m going to say we will be away to Southampton.

Blurboy1980 36 Posted June 18, 2012 Is there any way of actually kinda knowing or is it all Pot Luck? Or how do they make the draw. I know a computer does it I believe but do they put things into consideration like rivalries or like for Instance Lambert going to Villa? stuff like that

Reggie Strayshun 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Maybe it''s just my imagination, but do they not, wherever possible, alternate between seasons as to whether you start home or away ? In which case, as we were away at Wigan on the first day of last season, we''ll likely be home this season. I''m going for WBA at home !

External influences may be a factor too - e.g V Festival is one the same weekend as the opening games and is located in Chelmsford which is close to Colchester. This may mean that Colchester are put away for their first game, leaving 1p5wich at home and therefore us away. Alternatively they may decide to put 1p5wich away as well as Colchester to free up police resources, I don''t know.
