Bird Table 0 Posted May 4, 2011 I’ve heard a whisper that the Norfolk Cup Final has been postponed again so we can have our parade/civic reception. That is all.
stopage time winner 0 Posted May 4, 2011 Surely a friday would be a better bet for those of us who dont live in the city and have to work weekdays .We would be able celebrate this achievement and not worry about the hangover the following day .OTBC

Jonzey 0 Posted May 4, 2011 A Tuesday? Really?I suppose it makes sense for those organising it, who wants to work on a Sunday? But I''ll be at work on Tuesday with no hope of attending :(Have fun those that make it, I remember the last one viewed from the Castle Hill. It was amazing to see so many thousands out in yellow all the way to St Stephens.
Jules 0 Posted May 4, 2011 Tuesday? That''s no good for me. I would have driven across if it were on Sunday but a week day is no go for me due to work commitments. Gutted about that.

Harry 0 Posted May 4, 2011 Taken from the Main Site:NORWICH CITY are back in the Premier League and thousands will get the chance to cheer the players as they parade through the city in an open-topped bus. A reception is being hosted by Norwich City Council and NCFC at City Hall on Tuesday, May 10 to mark the Canaries'' promotion to football''s top flight and fans will be able to see their heroes as they leave the civic celebration, which is sponsored by Aviva. And in keeping with tradition, they will appear on the famous balcony to salute the crowds that have gathered to celebrate the club''s second consecutive promotion-winning season. Laura McGillivray, chief executive of Norwich City Council, said the council was delighted to host the celebration and the club''s return to the Premier League was a massive boost for the entire city. "This is an unbelievable achievement for the Football Club just one year after its supporters celebrated promotion from League One to the Championship and this will be a fantastic opportunity for everyone to congratulate the players and join in the celebrations," she said. "Being back in the Premier League will put Norwich on the national and international stage and will be worth millions of pounds to the local economy in terms of increased visitor numbers and attracting business investment. This is our way of congratulating the Canaries and their fans and celebrating what is amazing news for everyone in Norwich." Norwich City Football Club Chief Executive David McNally said: "We are thrilled that the City Council have invited the Club to a civic reception and delighted supporters will be given the opportunity to show their appreciation for Paul Lambert, his backroom team and their marvellous players. "It really is astonishing that they have achieved back-to-back promotions so please come and show your support for our victorious team. "A big thank-you also to our main club sponsors Aviva for once again sponsoring the celebrations." Heather Smith, Head of Sponsorship and Corporate Responsibility at Aviva said: "It''s a fantastic achievement by Norwich City to reach the Premier League. We are delighted to be sponsoring the civic event to give the fans and wider community a chance to see the team and join in the celebrations." The reception will take place in the early evening and full details about timings and the parade route will be confirmed shortly.
