Wings of a Sparrow 1,415 Posted January 1, 2011 We can be very pleased with that result, shame Swansea won. Slightly OT SSN report - rumours that Burley has been sacked.

Evil Monkey 52 Posted January 1, 2011 Excellent result with such a depleted squad! Shame the Swans have pipped us to second, but we''re just one point below them with a game in hand, and 5 points behind top. What a season this it turning out to be! Well done lads! jed exodous 0 Posted January 1, 2011 What a win, sounds like we should''ve made it more comfortable, but the what the heck, a win is a win. Russell Martin scores again, hes come on leaps and bounds this season. Full credit also to Nels, Whitbred and Drury, they''ve barely played for months and they have done a superb job today. Ruddys looking decent as well and seems to be cutting out the errors. Crofts, immense as usual, Smith is gonna be an Premier league player within 3 years and the forwards all sounded like they put a lot of effort in and perhaps shoud''ve taken one or two of those chances... On the ball city and Lambert. He has those players running through walls for him
rock bus 851 Posted January 1, 2011 Amazing result given players out - also strange that Nelson and Whitbread keep clean sheet unlike the "messiahs" Barnett and Ward have done -thoughts?

There''s a case to be made that Nelson should be in the team because he can score a few too.
jed exodous 0 Posted January 1, 2011 You know what i mean, i dont like to get too carried away until things are a bit more clear cut. We may still have a stick patch to come yet, but this has been a fantastic run we''ve got ourselves on and we''ve got every chance of getting a result against Boro.
