Eadienhucks 0 Posted May 19, 2010 As mate who supports spurs was really hoping to finish 3rd,as any previous argument that they won this etc,was shot down by me as i point out,we finished 3rd in the prem league and the prem league, along with getting rid of the back pass to the keeper,is a totally different game to when the old div 1 had back pass etc so some teams bored their way to winning.. Eadienhucks 0 Posted May 19, 2010 So we cant lord it over leeds then :( ...The point i was making is winning the league or even coming in the top 3,is much more of an achievment since the prem was formed and they introduce the back pass rule..as football became a whole new ball game(i think that what was used by sky when the introduced the prem, A whole new ball game, and used some song called alive and kicking by ...cant think but like u2 etc) ..So i was hoping this would be a way of shutting up any leeds coming on here spouting crp about their magnificent past
Eadienhucks 0 Posted May 19, 2010 lol, You obviously havent ever watched an old fa cup final when someteam scores then spend the rest of the match passing between defender then goalkeeper then defender then goalkeeper etc..More boring that watching meathead football in league 1!...Though it was funny when the rule came in in 92/93 with the prem as most keepers couldnt kick a rolling ball(they used to use fullbacks before this rule,to even take goal kicks!),so loads of mistakes were made until they added kicking to their skillset

Jacko 0 Posted May 19, 2010 History really means nothing. Finishing 3rd in the Premier League in 1992/3 will not gain us any points next season. Neither will Leeds title triumph back in 1992. They are nice memories to look back on and it was a wonderful time but ultimately its about the here and now.
