BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 25, 2010 This must have received a pleasant boost since the start of the season.Anybody like to venture an estimate?Holt, Hoolahan, C. And several others perhaps rather less so.Pity Forster isn''t ours, what with Rudd to replace him.And that Oli Johnson - well, let''s not get too far ahead! Jacko 0 Posted January 25, 2010 I would agree with nearly all those. Smith is worth 2 million because it would be a travesty is one our best prospects for years was sold for anything less. Lappin is probably only worth about 200K I would say. I have a lot of time for the guy but I think League 1 might be his level.
bjg123 0 Posted January 25, 2010 What do the accounts say as an overall figure?
Jacko 0 Posted January 25, 2010 I remember being told by a solicitor that players are not included as assets in the accounts so they wouldnt feature. Ultimately I guess players are only worth what someone is willing to pay. A bit like the ground. The club value it at 34 million. Would anyone pay this in reality? I couldnt see it myself. Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted January 25, 2010 Hoolahan & C.Martin are probably our most valuable players as they have the most potential at Championship or even Premiership level in the future.
bjg123 0 Posted January 25, 2010 I thought players counted as tanglible assets on the balance sheet, and in other financial statements? Depreciated over the length of their contract? So if you pay £1m for a player on a 4 year contract the asset value decreases by 250k each year

The ground is in a prime position and would be ideal for redevelopment so I''m sure it is worth that valuation. From what I remember, much smaller parcels of land have already sold for multi-millions around that site many years ago.
