ACE 0 Posted June 11, 2009 So do I. Jeremy Paxo is far superior to Johnny Aspirin as an anchorman.
I prefer paxo over aspirin.
The Fish Seller 0 Posted June 11, 2009
Don''t get in a tizz about the egg thing. So long as you keep them in the fridge at a decently low temperature they''ll be ok for omelettes for about 10 days after the stupid date stamp. You do keep them in the fridge, don''t you?
I believe it is lawful for an egg to take 30 days to reach the store at which point the store must stamp a ''sell by date'' on the egg with a 30 day maximum period of ''shelf life'' , the egg should then stay fresh for a further 4-6 weeks after purchase giving a maximum fresh period of approx 100 days from laying. In practice the eggs reach the store in week 1 are stamped to ''sell by'' in week 5 and ''use by'' week 9 (63 days) that''s a huge artificial margin of unusability introduced by the seller who lets face it makes a living by selling you more eggs to replace those that are ''past their date''.Stop reading the labels and use your senses, if it smells or floats its bad if it sinks in water its good.Eggs keep in a fridge for ages but please do not try to keep chicken in your fridge any more than a couple of hours as you will find they die very quickly. Afterall who wants to eat a chicken when its still alive? They don''t sit still long enough for you to stick the fork in for a start and they flap so much they leave feathers everywhere (the ones you don''t attempt to swallow). Plus they make so much noise too. And taste funny raw. And smell. Trust me I''ve tried all of this. No, its best that they''re dead. If you''d said don''t put gerbils or mice or small children or santa clause in the fridge then fair enough. Chickens are food really. Can I have some aspirins too ACE I''m starting to itch? Shyster 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Seriously, when I was a teenager I wanted to become a greaser (English version of an Hells Angel for younger viewers) and part of the inauguration process was to bite off a live chickens head.I purchased a scooter and became a mod.
