O.T.B.C 1 Posted January 4, 2009 Might kick them up the arse to do some proper journalism instead of recycling stuff and then maybe they can ask some probing questions.

Is there a link anywhere? If this is true yet more redundancies to hit the county.

Mister Chops 7 Posted January 4, 2009 Hopefully the web team will be unaffected. I know I give them some stick but they do a good job in keeping this place running.

Chunky Norwich 0 Posted January 4, 2009 I really feel for them. It''s a really tough, cut-throat business and the vast majority of those people will have worked their butts off to get where they are now
sidewinder 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Newspapers must really be feeing the pinch now with production costs up and advertising down so I expect they have got to cut costs somewhere. Anyone know how many PinkUns are sold now, it must be uneconomical to print it as it has little advertising and distribution costs must be high. I remember times they use to queue up on TheWalk on a Saturday night to buy it to read all the football results to check their pools. My thoughts are with the Archant editorial team at this time and hope they can find employment as the axe falls as it lnow looks like doing.
BlyBlyBabes 0 Posted January 4, 2009 Well, there''s one way to get circulation up and add new jobs - and that''s to do some serious investigative journalism and forceful, penetrating opinion pieces instead of cosying up to Corporate Norfolk.Give the people what they want, go for circulation and the ads (and revenue) will follow.Provided that they develop a staff of competent, happy people who are well led.QED Archant? I''ll send my bill later.[:)]OTBC
