Sadly, as some of you may well have heard, Puppet Man is no longer performing in Norwich. He will be missed more than a certain winger!

i must admit the puppet man, for a talentless old bod, has done well to of lasted as long as he has... and is it me or has he always seemed the same age?

Talking of Norwich Characters.. anyone remember Marigold? he was this huge Black guy who used to stand by the edge of the road directing traffic with these Marigold gloves on.. he never spoke.... Someone told me a few years ago he passed away? anyone know?

jas :)

[/quote]Marigold was awesome!!  He used to direct (in the loosest possible term) the traffic at the bottom of grapes hill.  On occasion, he would put one of his Marigold gloves on the end of a stick and push it through a car window and wave it in someone''s face - Marvelous Norwich character he was.  Cheers Jas, I had forgotten about him!!

Marigold is not dead. A Facebook tribute group was set up declaring his death and were trying to get some sort of memorial erected.........fortuanately a family member found the group and wrote saying that Marigold had not passed and was in a specialised home, his family thought it was a little premature to have any such memorial!!

marigold was apparantly an accountant or an architect before he had a tragic accident. A well loved character of Norwich
