they need to think long and hard about where we go from here. if they fail to back roeder then prepare for a season worse than this one. this will be a pivotal summer in the history of norwich city i feel.

Thats 1 single player worth £1.25 mill, how many others did they buy for approx Â£1.25mill a piece? And they''re about to sign Ameobi for £3mill.

Makes you want to cry really when compared to our spending.

Don''t you ever listen to Doooooooooooooomcaster? We''re on our uppers, we have to be prudent, we musn''t splosh the dosh. Look at clubs with financial frailties such as Hull City, Watford, Cardiff City, Plymouth, Burnley, Preston North End, Blackpool - do you really want us to finish as low as they have this season?

Agree that we need massive improvements in the squad, but money doesn''t guarantee success, as Leicester City demonstrate and they had £10M to spend this season! And Ipswich''s £12M investment was when they were in the Top 6, and they finish outside the POs. The key is getting the right people in and to trust Roeder''s judgement. If its further Loan players, then so be it.

Money does not guarantee success but it helps, Ipswich only spent £3 million of their £12million and Magilton is already talking about adding quality to a side that only missed out by a couple of points this season .Trouble is now there are just so many teams with money in this League that a team like Norwich have no chance of getting the better players to sign , you have the three coming down plus the Sheff utd and Charltons and Watford (if they dont win the play offs) who still have parachute money , then there is the teams with money to spend from investment like Ipswich , Coventry etc. If our budget is around 2 or 3 million we may as well give up on next season already ,this team needs completely rebuilding and with decent players not the cheap variety we brought in last summer , £2-3 million wont even scratch the surface of our problems.

Excellent points Loan City FC.

Just to add to your points, we escaped relegation by the skin of our teeth (with players who are NOT going to be here next year, that''s Dion and possibly Hucks, Fozzy and Doc.

Yes, you could say we could bring in at least adequate replacements for all of them, plus the others who might leave, but we have to do more than that and bring in better.

Do we have the money for that?

I think we all know the answer.

After today''s result which, if we hadn''t of beaten QPR at home last week, would have sent us down, this is a wake up call. We can''t go through this next season.

Am I right in saying that the Turners money is all tied up in the business in the form of assets, therefore his worth is only ''Value'' and not actual cash. Whereas the Stoke chairman recently sold the business and therefore has actual cash to spend. Might explain why he has money to spend.

Very good point Loan City FC, however, an experienced manager like Glenn Roeder with all the contacts he has nationally and abroad should have no problems sourcing out the player''s and selling the Club to them with the help of Neil Doncaster. I''m expecting us to go all South American during the summer as Newcastle did during Roeder''s tenure there. As there are deals to be had over there! Or possibly in one of the Balken states!

I was re-reading a review of the Chelsea V Man City Youth Team final. This really shows the gulf in terms of £, as Chelsea had players in their Team bought for 3.7 Milliion (just one example of a 16 year old Serbian recruit).

Very well said Loan City FC...

All I can see is another season flirting with relegation at best.

It is still quite plain to see that City need a clearout in the boardroom to start heading in the right direction again.

The turn around in fortunes under Roeder has been despite them in the boardroom not because of them.

Well done Glen & Lee Clark you have pulled off miracles here so far, but you have one hell of a job on your hands to keep this club moving in the right direction next season.

If you think this season has been difficult then just wait until the next one has begun (when you will stand or fall by every single result).

Please feel free to give up if you want to. Personally I thought some of you had given up long ago. But this fan''s not for giving up! I think it is called giving it a go, enjoying the sport, and , ''Never mind the Danger''. Cheerio, Cheerio, Cheerio..........

Smudger i dont often disagree with you pal but Roeders has pulled off miracles, is abit o.t.t, after Grant, it could only go one way, the guy was a complete numpty. We have just scraped through, result yesterday was a joke, Roeder has done ok, a miracle is what Warnock has done at palace.

As i have said Roeder has done ok, nothing more and i will judge him, from summer onwards to see what he is made of, when he gets, his team.
