Interestingly, she suggested that we need money for new players in January, so I believe she will be backing Roeder in the transfer market.
so if we need money.. that means that we dont have any at present doesnt it?

where then, is this money going to come from? our Profitable "off the field activities" perhaps? wonder how much L A Galaxy will give us for hucks.

jas :)

Your posts today are very depressing Jas, it is Xmas you know, a time to be merry!
Theres that word again "ambition" well if ambition means Norwich going bankrupt because we are spending money we haven''t got, then i''d rather they didn''t show ambition, if Norwich went bankrupt because we were showing "ambition" you''d all be on here moaning that the board spent money we didn''t have and they don''t know how to manage finances!!
I was at Scunny away yesterday and at the final whistle, Delia walked along the front of all the fans (escorted by about 5 stewards) and she wished me and my mate a merry christmas, she has done so much for this club, and i''d rather have her supporting this club than the people on here who keep whingeing about how things are run, even though they never go to games, never go to away games, just sit and listen to it on the radio!!
I sit near....ish to Delia at Carra, (whilst also listening to the game on the radio, as I just love "HALLO NEEEL!") and I go to many away games. Oh, and I actually saw Delia in the refreshment area at Chelsea before our drubbin'' in the FA Cup, signing autographs and mixin'' with the Norwich fans........It was all so very exciting, and I felt very, very privileged.......although my really miserable mate said "Pah, it''s just a PR thing." But, without Delia - we would be nobody in the ''Ambitious Celebridee Shareholding Championship Club Competition''......We are so fortunate.[:D]

I LUVS HER!.......and I''ve got all her books.......(but sadly, I''m still a $h*te cook).[:(]

If it is just a PR thing then Abramovich hasn''t a clue. He sits behind a section of bullet proof glass whilst the Russian national anthem is played.

I am not saying I wouldn''t like to see that sort of money at the club - but like Delia has said it has got to be someone genuine, not someone looking to buy they safety because they have p''d off the Russian government and KGB etc.

Yes, our Delia is really genuine, and apparently, is just like she is on the telly (a bit). Are roubles actually legal tender in the Top o'' the Terrace? Is the KGB the Russian equivalent of the KFC?....Y''know, them bad, bad, norty an'' very narsty people - that moider innocent chickens for fasty foody financial gain.......err, mr chicken?

Still, it''s only a fickle ickle family club that we all know and love. Yes! We certainly shouldn''t Chase outside investment from anyone who hasn''t got ''Normal forNaaarfaaaalk'' on their tractor and combine licence. After all, better the devilled kidneys you know......

PS chicken, a word in your shell-like, watch out for the KFC, they''re a little spicy........and don''t stick your beak in where it shouldn''t be......I should have scrambled my message to you, as it''s no yolk when you''re close to the top of the KFC hit-man''s peckin'' order me ole cock a'' doodle dour. Good cluck and stay free.......range. Mello the ramblin'' messenger. (You ain''t seen me........roight!)[H]

Delia sat next to me after the Man City embarrasment in the Premier...

Squarks like a buzzard, but shouts at the ref, lives every kick and even shouts at our players when they screw up (you know - just like any fan...)

She was there for the Man U game - at the end I thought "sod it", so I gave her a kiss and said "thanks for everything". They show her on the TV clapping at the end of the game, but it always cuts as you see two leather jacketed arms come in from one side! [:)]
Does she smell of fried food?[:|]
Is there some really funny joke I''m missing here...? Or is this a reference to one of her new ventures, which considering this encounter was 3 years ago, answers my initial question as "no"?

Mello can sometimes be a little hard to follow but I would suggest that all you are missing is a sense of humour.

Yep, couldn''t believe it when she took her seat on the back row, next to me. Forget all the crxp that goes on these boards she is a real person and a real fan. She even joined in on the chanting and kicks every ball and gives her all for this club.

Interestingly, she suggested that we need money for new players in January, so I believe she will be backing Roeder in the transfer market.

Give me Delia any day compared to these multi millionaire yanks and F1 owners she will always look after our club, yea the board will make mistakes but who doesn''t? We have got something going for us at the moment, superb team spirit and committment, great support, and once the dead wood is cleared out in Jan and a couple of replacements brought in we can carry on the momentum.
Yeah because shes really going to sit next to you and say "theres no chance we are pumping any money into this club that i dont even support!". Doh!

Ricardo, sentiment echoed. IMO Mello is the highlight of this messageboard and has been for years. Unique SOH and worth a column of his own. Pink Un editor please note!

I did "get" the joke, just though it was a bit rubbish - hence the reply...

(yes, usually Mello can be funny - but the above proves he isn''t anywhere near always funny!)

Well done Paul, another example of you not getting the point, I''ll explain. ROGER MUNBY IS NOT THE OWNER OF NCFC.

I''m not being funny, I''m being very serious - like you. There is a time and place for humour and hilarity.....but this football forum should be for football fans like you and me. Now, did she smell of fried food or what?[:|]

true, but he is a board member.  Although he does not fit into Delia''s model for any new investers/potential board members. We arent accepting money from anyone apart from those who are NCFC fans.

Couldn''t agree more. I''d have her over most other ''sugar daddies.'' Lets have a look at who''s done what.

The Glaziers: Man Utd now in massive debt thanks to them when previously they weren''t in any.

Gillett/Hicks: Liverpool also in massive debt thanks to the takeover.

Mike Ashley: How much impacthas he had at Newcastle?

Roman Abramovich: Breeds a type of fan who can''t be bothered going to champion''s league games (20k versus Rosenborg) forces out arguably the best manager of the world, spends ridiculus amounts of money on average players 18m on Veron etc.

Gaydamek: Has little impact on Portsmouth. Redknapp has achived what he has on a small(ish) budget.

Manderic: been arrested, previously owned portsmouth now owns leceister? Is he a fan? or just there to make a profit?

Thakshin Sinawatra: Faces charges in his own country, although team doing well.

Icelandic Consortium: Soap opera last year at wesy ham.

Randy Lerner: How much of his own money has he spent at Villa?

The question we have to ask is are any of these owners actually fans of the clubs they own? Very few of them are. Delia may not be the richest lady in the world but at least she genuinely cares about our club.
