Players Wages, who actually knows?

Recommended Posts

On some posts recently I notice that posters have stated players wages

Etuhu 5k a week

Thorne 8k a week

Do we know if these are accurate figures and if so does anyone know the whole squads wages?

The only people who would know are the club accountants and the players.  I guess some figures come from gossip, others from championship manager.  Sometimes this level of detail is announced when a new contract is signed, but I''d say it was mainly guesswork.

Earnings are based on the size of their motors. Chris Martin (aged 18) has a pair of in-line roller blades.

Paul McVeigh has a Guinness tanker.

You can make the rest up, just like their ''supposed'' income.......good fun!

The only people who know that are the players, their families, their agents, the tax man, ncfc wages staff and the lovely staff who work in their bank.

Everyone else is guessing [:D]

You can get a fair idea from the Annual Accounts. The figures you''ve quoted are not a long way out IMO.

based on the annual accounts, the average wage for an NCFC player in the first team squad (ie Earnshaw through to Cave-Brown) is £6500 a week including any extras they earned.  Waghorn quote thorne on £8500 - he probably has a little more idea than the rest of us.

The rest is up to you to work out based on intelligent guesswork and media speculation.  Though bear in mind Andy Hooves turned down our initial contract offer...  Doherty, Ernie and Hucks came from premiership clubs.

When Leon had some personal problems just before he left us his ex was quoted in many papers that he earned £6k a week in the premiership and this was cut when we were relegated.

Even Worthy couldn''t have been foolish enough to let that complete tit Thorne get 8k a week.

Could he?

I think that this is one of the hardest bits of information we have.  After all, his ex would know and she would have no reason to understate the case as she was making allegations about Leon.  She said he was getting £6,000 in the Prem and £3,500 on relegation.
