Club Finances in 2008

The attached from the Archive is much more understandable for the layman than the published accounts (wonky photo aside).

Thanks for that Essex I know little about the workings of a balance sheet. Could you give me an in depth explanation why this is better than what is produced today. Thanks

As an FCA, no it ****ing isn't!!!

He did say for the layman, to be fair.

It's interesting from a supporter perspective to see it broken down chronologically like that, but ultimately I don't have much interest in it all, my eyes are more drawn to the score and the lineups at the bottom! 🙂

The first thing is it isn't a Balance Sheet which is a cumulative statement of all years to date. It is a Statement of Profit and Loss for the one most recent year but not in the official format.

The official format advises of Gross Expenditure and Gross Income. This one nets off such items where relevant.

An example is the 'Net Profit on Programnes' of £106,000. This could be made up of Income from Programmes of say  £500,000 less costs of production of £394,000. If these latter 2 figures are correct they will be reflected like that in the official accounts though there is no supporting detail in those accounts showing specifically any figures for Sale of Programmes, they are just aggregated with other items.

@shefcanary reaction seems rather odd as I would have thought seeing these figures work back to Player Wages spend and returns from player transfers like this would be gold dust for him in terms of both last season and this.

It was obvious even then that the club were slipping into what became 'cold sausage roll' gate.

I'm surprised  that 'someone" hasn't managed to lay the blame for those sausage rolls at Zoes door, despite it being well before her taking up a position with us.

The problem is we still haven't got enough money for any hot sausages.

As expected someone cannot see that the pi$$ was being taken to induce this response.

Had live yog n fruit at 05-30 , brunch at 1130، a little kedgeree ,organic brown basmatti of course  , so no , as I don't eat that kind of processed rubbish I will  decline , but not politely,  you tw@. Next meal around 1830 , organic ribeye cooked over home made charcoal...could be worse, Waveney might be my  only ally on here, and as Tillo pointed out he's  mugging you off anyway, now that would be sad.

He'll be adopting Waveneys Scampi campaign soon enough under his umbrella of grievances, soon to be moved to the O2 Arena as the only venue with space enough to accommodate them.

So I shouldn't have answered the question. That seems like a double standard on your part but no surprise there.

No double standards from me as i have thought you were a plank from Day 1 and this thread confirms those thoughts.

They say don't judge a book by it's cover but I've met Kevin and I'll bet the only lines that interest him are those wrapped round spreadsheets.

The Spreadsheet is a marvellous invention. Nobody knows that better than NCFC. Problem is sometimes you need to know not just the figures but the value behind it. That is where they are lacking.

Slowly but surely we are getting around to that stick you were desperately seeking for in the opening post .

It's good fun insulting him while he seeks said stick though.

Even he can't actually believe  half the stuff he posts surely.

Here here, the sausage roll situation is a scandal. A little imagination and some chorizo would go down a treat.

Maybe even a touch of black pudding and a nice mustard.
