cambridgeshire canary 7,797 Posted April 7 (edited) Telling our players not to celebrate in front of opposition fans? Censoring the word "scum" out of our chants? It's all woke political correctness gone mad! 😉 Edited April 7 by cambridgeshire canary
RobJames 922 Posted April 8 Not seen all parts of the ground so animated for a while. And despite accusations about the binners this was treated by our players as a final. They have bought into the rivalry and it showed after the game. I'm not sure with what promises the likes of Barnes, Duffy, Stacey, Bahtt and Forshaw were lured here with, but that trust in City and Wagner is paying off. Another spin at the wheel, and the knowledge they have the momentum while S'oton and to an extent Leeds are faltering in the final furlong. Even the binners have been shown to be beatable. What has until recently looked a disjointed team as Wagner chopped and changed has slowly merged into a winning formula, though some might suggest through force rather than choice. Whatever, the wining continues, meaning the points tally grows and so does the belief among those off and on the pitch. Savour it well fellow canaries, it doesn't come better than this, and who knows with the wind behind us we could return to Road in a fortnights time with a play-off place as good as sorted.
Walcombe canary 81 Posted April 8 We just need one or two players to return from injury to boost the squad. Especially, if we are to reach the play-offs

rock bus 1,057 Posted April 8 (edited) It's great to see the spirit and togetherness back in the team, something that seemed to be missing for so long. The old pros like Barnes, Duffy and Stacey showing the same spirt and joy as the newer lads like Sainz, Nunez and Rowe. If we can keep this going over next few weeks then could be a special end to the season. Edited April 8 by rock bus

Robert N. LiM 6,274 Posted April 8 That was a very special watch. As an exile, I found it quite emotional in places. Really came across how up-for-it the Carra was, great to see. Seems that all that fear and dread that was much talked about on here in the days leading up to the game got channelled into a desperation (in the best sense of that word) for victory that Ipswich just couldn't match. In other words, as Wagner said, we just wanted it more. Absolutely brilliant. NMTD.

Even the subs who were not used, despite wanting to get on the pitch I'm sure, were jubilant.

Coneys Knee 1,048 Posted April 8 Today, I feel a pride in our team that I haven’t felt in a long time. That’s down to those players and management. They fought for that game the way we all would have done if we could. Too many man of the match players out there to choose one for me. Thanks lads, even Monday at work felt good today.
