West Ham v Florence match thread

Recommended Posts

This could turn out to be the better of the three European cup finals this season.

Fact that there is three is a bit of a joke, though.

Wow that's how you celebrate.

Shame we couldn't have done the same in 20/21. Could have made all the difference.

Yep, with the current rules, it's a penalty. Clearly unintentional though, so shouldn't be given, and the rules need to be relaxed.

🤣😂Unintentional, he actually tried to punch it back to his goalkeeper. No ifs no buts . Stonewall  penalty.

The arm came out to fend off Bowen. There's not a chance in hell any player would intentionally punch the ball with VAR in action, and you could see by the way his arm moved that it was to come across Bowen rather than go for the ball.

But, with the rules as they are, it's a penalty because his arm was away from his body and the ball hit it.

C'mon you sure your not on the Wacky backy man. Suggest specavers  soon . They all try it on camera or no camera on them. He deliberately  pushed it no help from Bowen. If he had not touched it Bowen was in full control of the ball.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 five star and what a beautiful  assist from Paquetá.

Don't forget the Intertoto, back door for many clubs.   Trouble is nowadays the FA cup barely gets the attention it deserves, most clubs don't care for the second euro competition let alone the third.

I much prefer having competitions where every team entering wants to win, and get the feeling that we'll soon have an International Cup, a Saudi cup and god knows what else - it'll become like boxing belts.

His arm was extended to obstruct at the least, it wasn't accidental in the slightest in my opinion.  He knew exactly what he was doing.

The best thing about that game was that it didn’t get to extra time - glad the English side won but they aren’t a very exciting watch under Moyes.

💯 Exactly. Thank you  . I'm doing a VAR course next week for a laugh.   GB. Obstruct is a  good word. And it waS not an accidental obstruct 😅

Yes , it could have really been exiting  if he had them playing the way Norwich  have lately under the present regime. Let's hope we get better soon and could be as exiting as West Ham.😃

There are more sides than us and West Ham.  I’ve always had a soft spot for them from the 70s-80s era with Brooking et al, but they are not a great side to watch at the moment, even hardened WH fans admit to that.  It may have just about won the third-tier European thing tonight but they have spent more than enough to finish far higher in the league.
