The big questions will be answered.

How much did Watling wallet?

Did Tom negotiate the Galway Roasters deal?

Who's paying for Webbers climbing obsession?

Why did Roeder miss the informed supporters tenure as England manager?

What do they do in traynin?

Where has all the money gone?

How do players get compromising pictures of the manager/coach?

Who put the ram in the ram-a-lama-ding-dong?

A detailed archive of Norwich City Football Club from 1902 to the summer of 2021 is set to be published.

The Norwich City Football Club Historical Trust is a registered charity, distinct from the club, founded in 2002. The club is supportive of the work of the Trust and is committed to continue working alongside the Trust.

Compiler James Woodrow, one of the Trustees, has researched our past extensively to produce what he has been told is the most detailed historical reference work of any club in the country.

The work, which is in six volumes, will be available by pre-order only until Thursday, April 14 at 2pm. There will be no subsequent sales. The Historical Trust will continue the research and record-keeping.

Detailing the club’s history from 1902 to the summer of 2021, James provides full match detail down to Under-18 level and biographies of the players involved, information on ground developments, annual accounts, ticket pricing arrangements and much more, including previous attempts to form a club representing the city of Norwich.

The books are a result of 45 years of work, providing a unique opportunity for those who care about the club’s history to be able to refer to its detail.

Six volumes, with full details of annual accounts and every match down to Under-18 level?  Blimey, it sounds like every one of the 2800 pages will be a right riveting read.

I suspect that those who don't buy it will soon be asking questions of the people who do. A bit like the irritating neighbour who doesn't own a set of ladders 😂

Thanks for this. Simply buy now and leave it on the shelf ready for the first read of retirement!

Ha, doesn't work too well. If you put a couple of books on that shelf they breed. Reckon I'd have to live to 100-plus to get through them all in our house. Best enjoy this one from day one if you can find the time, looks great - and thanks MrFruit for the heads-up, came in under the radar.

Was Lambert’s car parked at a jaunty angle? (retired)

Which players has just been spotted in ASDA/Morrisons?

How many pieces of scampi are served in one portion in the Gunn club?

Typical. This would come out just as WWIII is about to start. Leaves us no time to get through all six volumes before we all die in the inevitable nuclear apocalypse.

But looking on the bright side at least it would never get out of date.

It is a reference of Norwich City records and not a story hence why it is six volumes which will prevent it being smuggled into a quiz. 😜

This has been a lifetime's work for James -  all credit to the guy who, after all, is one of the club's staunchest supporters.  How he tracked down all the information is an incredible feat in itself.  Hats off to you sir!
