Graham Paddons Beard 2,468 Posted November 20, 2021 Well if no one else is going to start a thread for these guys , I will. How many blocks did these guys get in , in the first half ? Gibson in particular was immense . Kept us in it . And Hanley got the winner . Outstanding performances .
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted November 20, 2021 Not going to go overboard but just saying I prefer AO to either of them but would prefer Gibson to Hanley. And surely Kabak must come into the reckoning.
canarydan23 4,118 Posted November 20, 2021 Hanley's goal will certainly mask a few head in hands moments, but Gibson had a great game.
lake district canary 4,562 Posted November 20, 2021 Hmmm. I would say good but not that good but improved as game went on. Stuck in well and overall a confidence builder for both of them. Still think AO would be a better choice, but in a back four you can only play 2 cbs, so I guess he'll have to wait for his chance again.
Danke bitte 967 Posted November 20, 2021 Hanley got the winner but was culpable for their goal and got away with that slip. I feel he gets into his head too often. Thinks too much and then makes a mistake. Hopefully Smith can help iron that out of his game. Agreed @keelansgrandad Big Andy and Gibson for me

Graham Paddons Beard 2,468 Posted November 20, 2021 AO is going to be great , no question. Just saying that in the first half I haven’t seen so many blocks from our centre backs for ages .
Canary Jedi 590 Posted November 20, 2021 What’s the difference between Grant Hanley and Pele? Pele doesn’t think that he’s Grant Hanley!
Wacky Waving Inflatable Arm Flailing Tube Man 3,898 Posted November 20, 2021 It would be tough to drop either of them after today, but then again, it was harsh to drop Omobamidele after Brentford. I think Kabak may be the one who finds himself on the sidelines for the immediate future.
Fuzzar 1,705 Posted November 20, 2021 Hanley had a shocker in the first half and a blinder in the second.

But you would expect him to. And second half when we stopped the playing out from the back, he looked far more comfortable.

We won for fûck sake .
Ken Hairy 3,797 Posted November 20, 2021 Hanleys goal masks what was a pretty shocking performance from him, 2 of Gibson, Oma, Kabak going forward for me. Any news on why Kabak wasn't even in the squad?
Branston 56 Posted November 20, 2021 (edited) Gibson two outstanding games in a row . Only question should be who the other CB is . For me Oma . Edited November 20, 2021 by Branston
