Midlands Yellow 4,682 Posted May 14, 2021 What a fantastic match.
Crabbycanary3 994 Posted May 14, 2021 Man City have just had 3 mins and 35 secs of continuous possession. Is that some sort of record?
Herman 11,136 Posted May 14, 2021 Saw the score, worried about my dreamteam. Luckily he'd dropped all my players in defence.👍
keelansgrandad 6,680 Posted May 15, 2021 Nathan Ake had a stinker. Don't think he is up to the standard that Pep wants.

I mean he's clearly got some talent but it's a hell of a leap to go from a bottom of the table Bournmouth to Man City of all teams..
DraytonBoy 249 Posted May 15, 2021 Man City play a certain way and not every player is a good fit, I'm not convinced by the purchase of Hugill and think Grant Holt would also have struggled with Farke ball. I do wonder how much input the likes of Pep has in recruitment or whether coaches today are basically just given players and told 'make it work'.
crispeduk 282 Posted May 15, 2021 Whoever's doing the recruitment, sometimes even the best can get it wrong. But if anyone can shape and improve a player, Pep can ....... and maybe our Daniel. 😁 If he doesn't think it will work Ake will be moved on before he gets to be damaged goods. crispeduk 282 Posted May 15, 2021 Jacob getting pelters from some fans this morning too, yet Brucie is said to rate them both. As well as a bit of a dip in form, a successful change of playing system suited others better than Jamal so he has to work his way back in .... after all the product was fully functioning when despatched to Tyneside 😁

I already see Giannoulis is a better player than Lewis. Lewis never took his man on and went round the outside, the amount of times he went up against the opposite full back and turned back and passed the ball backwards. Lewis is a championship defender. I don't think he ever used his right foot.
Mason 47 1,923 Posted May 16, 2021 Jamal's biggest assets were physical, like a left back Placheta. At PL level however those attributes are a lot closer to average and he doesn't have Farke behind him to keep the faith. Similar to Jacob Murphy in that another year or two with us probably would have been better for their development, but they wanted to go and someone wanted to pay. Hope Lewis kicks on, all the same.

Replacing Jamal with Dimi and Godfrey with Gibson was excellent business all round! I liked Jamal though, so wish he had got a chance to develop a bit more or gone to a better club. But those two transfers funded another championship title and meant we got to keep the important players so all good for the club!
