Providing we get through, and Chelsea do the same, we do seem to draw Chelsea in the FA Cup a lot it seems!

If we play after Chelsea v Luton and Luton win..it takes on a rather a different slant!?

Hmmm. We have to beat a very good Barnsley team away. If we do we'll be playing Chelsea

The only positive of this whole sorry episode is that I've discovered I'm an Onanist. Thanks Corky, it's good to start the week with a new word.

He single handedly helped you there then.

Every day is a learning day.

It has nudged the curiosity in my mind, as to where our Irish based friend first discovered the word? Was it something he was himself called, or 'discovered' it in other ways.......

and Corky, it's hardly tedious, according to my research anyway............

Surely that’s the beauty of a classical education . Suggesting he may have been to a public school.. or had a private Greek tutor

(Edit: Sorry for the above! a bit revolting!)

Nothing quite as  glamorous  I'm afraid, during my army days we used Generators that were made by a company called Onan, the instructor, teaching us servicing etc told us that the name originated from the machines ability  ' not to miss a beat' so to speak. Onan was a biblical figure who refused a heavenly missive to father a child  with his widowed  sister in law, deciding to  'self  empty' instead  , incurring  the wrath  of god.1
