hogesar 10,774 Posted December 5, 2020 You absolutely geniuses. How many times does Farke have to prove he knows what he's doing, before keyboard warriors claim we definitely would have done better if Farke made sub a, sub b, or whatever. 4 1

TheGunnShow 7,379 Posted December 5, 2020 Not to mention the fact that the following subs have come up this season: Idah vs. Huddersfield, Vrancic twice (Wycombe and Brum), Martin (today), McLean (Brentford)... He certainly seems to have a happy knack of finding gamechangers when we've got them on the bench.

All the Germans 1,239 Posted December 5, 2020 Again. Whilst I agree with your message, this is unnecessary and won't change anything. People (massively) over react at football. He's either god or useless, there is no middle...

TIL 1010 5,246 Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) I think this thread proves that when that day comes and Farke leaves his replacement is right here on this forum but i must confess i missed his tenure as a football league manager. They wouldn't care. Not even a little bit. They are both sensible people and understand the system. Win and you're amazing, lose and you're awful. Even if you dominated the game you lost and stole the game you won.
Hank shoots Skyler 2,094 Posted December 5, 2020 Farke’s subs this season have been fantastic on the whole! However I think there has been plenty of grounds to raise the question on his lack of subs vs Coventry and then Luton. I think plenty of fans have reasonably questioned it. Just because he got it right today doesn’t prove he got it right (or wrong) in the previous two games - we will never really know. But IMO the - albeit short - performance of Omotoye today suggests that he definitely could’ve handled himself at least as well as Stiepermann in those games towards the end (and actually in truth probably much better)- not least because he is teeming with energy! I feel like threads like this just kind of tarnish everyone with the same brush - I agree with you that some of the posters have been way OTT with it (Jim Smith basically coming across like he’s better at substitutions than Farke for instance), but surely we can all just enjoy the win for now and then go back to petty arguing first thing Monday morning? 😆

But I think Farke deserves better than what some have given him this past week. I'm not tarring everyone. Those who it applies to know.

It works both ways. The final whistle had hardly blown before a smarmy post appears on here criticising posters when they had been asking for substitutions. Just enjoy the win FFS. However, he gets far more right and I am happy to accept the rough with the smooth. With Omotoye, perhaps, as he was coming back from injury and / or hadn't trained with the first team squad, he wasn't fit enough / prepared enough for the last games but will be now? Who knows. I just trust Mr Farke to (mostly) do it right...
