Bradwell canary 112 Posted May 3, 2019 I wonder just how many season tickets holders who gave up last season have regrets. Most I guess, but now almost impossible to get another.
KeiranShikari 1,524 Posted May 3, 2019 Imagine a lot of them sneaked back in via the half season ticket route.

SwindonCanary 457 Posted May 4, 2019 I gave mine up as I was missing too many games, I didn't tend to go when it was on the tele or midweek., although this season I've broken that rule, but I've no regrets. The seats I get, tend to be close to the away fans, but that's the only down side and this season I've visited a lot more than usual, away games.
nutty nigel 7,902 Posted May 4, 2019 The old ones were books of individual tickets. Different colours for 1st team and reserves. Never thought to keep the stubs. I guess it would be a curiosity now.

Can you remember though when the people seated could rent a cushion and when they thought there had been a dodgy refereeing or Lino decision they threw the cushions at the officials. How times change.

How times change. Threats of ground closures were made. Poor old Geoffrey Watling was a sitting duck in the directors box. And a lot of those cushions were lethal with their sharp corners🙃
Indy 3,471 Posted May 4, 2019 (edited) After 20 odd years, I’ve not regretted giving my ticket up and I’ve enjoyed my weekends. I don’t miss it to be honest, I love doing other things and when I go to footy now I actually get a buzz again, so no regrets from me. I hope those who go still enjoy their day. Well b back 3,603 Posted May 5, 2019 Good memories. They used to rain down. I seem to remember an evening game when we were given a particular decision when they were coming from everywhere, maybe even the directors box.
dylanisabaddog 6,133 Posted May 5, 2019 I loved the reserve team games as a kid in the early 1970's. News of the first team was transmitted on the PA system.

Must have been a better PA system then than our present one. in part of the south stand almost impossible to hear. Heaven forbid if a real emergency arose. remember when the half time scores were put up by hand around the ground?
