ruthers1 0 Posted March 18, 2015 Despite signing 3 apparently specialist ''centre halves'' we are forced to use this pair of misfits at the heart of our defence. No wonder we let in such appalling goals against mediocre opposition at times. And don''t trot me out the excuse about Scotland playing Martin there, all it confirms is that they haven''t got anyone else half decent in that position either! What''s that? Play off final at Wembley to look forward to? On a pitch that wide I dread to think what could happen to us.

Tetteys Jig 830 Posted March 18, 2015 We were A LOT worse without Bassong in the side.Russ wasn''t at his best last night but i''d rather go with what we do than two lumbering centre halves.
Kidderminster Exile 0 Posted March 18, 2015 Wembley, a pitch so wide Redmond would have a field day ! My glass is half full.

Mr Apples 1,320 Posted March 18, 2015 It didn''t seem to be a problem a couple of weeks ago, so why is it now? [;)] Apples
GJL Mid-Norfolk Canary 1,753 Posted March 18, 2015 Carrow Road pitch dimensions - 114yrds x 74yrdsWembley pitch dimsensions - 115 x 75would an extra yard here and there make that much difference.but in reponse to the OP. I didnt like the look of getting rid of Turner last week and still don''t. The Bassong/Turner partnership was an o.k one in the Premiership and would have been solid enough at this level.if anyone should have been loaned out, it should have been Ryan Bennett to prove his fitness
