  1. The silent majority hold the high ground. The noisy minority do not and are starting to lose the battle. The "on the fencers" and Inners are likely to be proven right. Keep it up LDC
  2. I agree with much that LDC comes up with. He is as passionate a Hootun inner as a number of outers. He speaks more sense than those that use every stick possible to bash Hoots. He is far more consistent . I applaud, and most supporters do, what was achieved last season .this season there are to many people with unrealistic expectations. We are no where near a top ten side yet many think we should be there. No manager with our weak squad would do better than where we are . A teams have spent money. Keep it up LDC. The noisy minority on here will try and dismiss you but do not let it happen. And if they think they are not a minority I would ask where was the march and protest! The majority are supporting their team their club their manager ! OTBC
  3. Yes please. Man for the long term and with another transfer window to play in he will bolster our flagging midfield and we can play more of the good stuff we sometimes see . Consistancy come .
  4. Wrong! We have better things to do..... Like a life!
  5. Brave OP!! And I totally agree. The spineless noisy minority on here do not represent the majority of Norwich supporters.
  6. That''s worth a big bump. Well said that man. The noisey minority on here are being shown for exactly what they are! Spineless !
  7. Read what I said in my previously post on this subject . It''s a game I want to win and expect to win and it is as important as any match we have played in the last three PL seasons. I will be gutted if we do not win. But it will not be the end of our season if we loose. It will mean the other matches become more important which ramps up the excitement. Entertaining stuff!! This is far more fun the mid table boredom ! I am as excited about going tomorrow as any game in recent years. Sod being like Southampton. How boring must that now be with nothing to play for. This is a very entertaining season!
  8. And the majority of Norwich fans are proper........ There is just a noisy minority who have unrealistic expectations.
  9. There are five teams beneath us, not 3. Loose tomorrow and we are still not in the bottom three and could well still be in the same position. Think LDC is right though, maybe as close a must win game as we have had in the last two seasons but we are far from down and out if we do loose. Think some perspective is required. I think we will win tomorrow. As for Hoots,,,,,,, no manager is safe but he is as safe as any in the bottom eight clubs...... This board will be meltdown tomorrow if we loose..... Bring it on...... Exciting stuff this football malarkey!
  10. I do not see tomorrow as a must win game. A must win game is one that ensures that it remains in your own hands to survive. We loose tomorrow and we are still not in the bottom 3. It may be a must win for the pant wetters amongst us... It''s May be a must win game for Hoots...... But it''s is not a must win game for our club Thought?
  11. You still do not get it" It is an animated minority on here creating all the fuss. At the games only a minority of supporter, if you can call them that, actually Boo. Go and support your team and manager.
  12. I just want the club to succeed . But it depends on what you feel success is and that''s the divide. Staying up is success this year. Staying up and having a few more flair players on board would be succeed and meet my expectation next year. This is the PL. We will always struggle and will always have a noisy minority reeking havoc on this board.
  13. YES we can win!!! If all of our players are on song we can beat anybody. But I can see the Thread now...... But they were on the beach so it does not count! We can beat anybody on our day. We just need more of those days.
  14. Yes, I am talking about the last Five. From the wilderness of league one to the onset of PL medeaocracy. Been 5 great years. So where to from here? And can the majority of fans handle it.... It would seem not. We have a group of players who ,when they are all on song , can compete with anyone. But those days when they are all on son are few. You have to pay a lot more money for the level of consistency required to match the likes of Southampton and Newcastle. We do not and, for the foreseeable future, will not be able to match the funds others have at their disposal. So what do we do different to have an opportunity one day to compete. I think we are doing. In sticking with Hoots we are taking a long term view to bring a bunch of low standard PL players together and play in such a way that we are difficult to beat and, hopefuly next year, score a few more goals. We have seen glimpses of what is poss I.e but do not yet have the players for it to be repeatable. Do you abandon this route for something different? Or do you stick when those around flap about with new managers and rebuilding teams. Our club has chosen to stick, and iIMHO have done the right thing. It is brave. It has divided the fans. The hatred on hear show towards Hoots amazes me. He is blamed for anything and everything. He is an escape goat. There are many reason we are sometimes poor. And a lot of the time it is not down to tactics or Hoots. My hope for the rest do the season is that the team perform out of there skin and we end up in tenth. I expect it to be a tad harder than that but we will survive. I am not sure that a lot of fans will.....
  15. The end of the article sums it up perfectly Darren Lewis of the Mirror and Alyson Rudd of the Times, two good friends of mine, were also covering the game – but with the more orthodox approach of sitting in the press seats for the action. When I joined them in the interviews area, they noted how gloomy I was but both, separately, said things like: “Surely you expected Norwich to struggle this season”. Alyson actually said: “I am amazed that Norwich fans have turned on the manager. Where did they expect to spend this season? In the top half?” As ever, it is about expectations. But is it too much to expect that Norwich supporters would think things through when a substitution is made? It was the knee-jerk response that “Hughton’s got it wrong” which was negative and clueless. Too many Norwich fans with totally unreasonable expectations. Chris Hughtons Yellow and Green Army
  16. Very balanced article. Unlike this board which is dominate by a noisy minority who think they represent what almost all city fans want. They do not . Hoots is on course to keep us up and keep his job.
  17. The board will sack Hoots when they believe he is no longer right for our beloved club. They will only sack Hoots with a replacement lined up that replacement has to be a step up so not Mackey or anybody of his ilk. Every manager is a handful of games from the sack. While we are above the drop one hoots is safe and rightly so. I am confident we will stay up. I also believe that Hoots will be given another year to show what can be achieved by holding your nerve and backing. Manager long enough to have a real go at setting his stall out. Hoots will get another year. most of the noise on here is from people who were calling for him to go end of last season. These people are daft as we finished 11th. OTBC
  18. How do you know that if Hoolahan had stayed on he would not have made a couple of mistakes and cost us two goals???? It works both ways.
  19. It has been said, it I will say it again. No master what Hoots do you lot find reason to use it against him. Bassong list us the points with a stupid tackle.. Bringing g Howson on made perfect sense. I reLy do get saddened by the tosh we read on here week I. Week out.
  20. Sorry but the OP is clueless . We did not win because of a defensive error and nothing todo with taking Hoolahan odd. Same as west spam. You lot make up reasons to bash Hoots. Sad.
  21. Warren Hill Wrote I can empathise with a lot of the points being made, but it is worth trying to put a bit of perspective to it all. In my time going to football I''ve seen us win at Wembley, get relegated, get promoted, finish top 6 in the top flight, finish top 3 in the top flight, get relegated, get promoted, get relegated, get relegated again, get promoted and promoted again and stay in the top flight for 3 seasons and counting. During that period the club have sold my favourite player on umpteen occasions, looked like they were completely skint a couple of times, changed chairmen, sacked managers, played some great stuff and played some of the worst football I''ve had the misfortune to pay and see - and no, I''m not talking about this season. Has it always been the buoyant jubilance of the three Lambert seasons? No. Even when we qualified for Europe many just took it as being the natural order of things as we''d had a few decent years, two FA Cup semis and three top 6 finishes, the attendances in our "glory years" around the 15-16,000 mark reflect that. Have I always enjoyed it? Yes. Getting relegated is horrible but I still enjoyed supporting the fight, the buzz of getting three points that mean so much, somebody else mentioned that football is so much more than the results, it''s about the whole experience, whether that be meeting up with the same faces at home or travelling en masse with your mates away. At Aston Villa on Sunday, we got stuffed but I still enjoyed the day, the company was still good, the football was ok for the first 20 minutes too. It was clear though that there were plenty there not enjoying anything about their day. Maybe for some their NCFC supporting has run it''s course. We don''t win more than we lose, we''re in a season-on-season scrap to stay in the division, it''s not going to be pretty most of the time, for me, beating teams like Spurs and hard fought draws against Man City make the odd thumping slightly easier to take, but then, if you''ve followed City away for more than the last 3 or 4 years, you''ll be well versed in taking a hiding. There have been whole seasons without an away win, indeed, having visited the best part of 50 away grounds, I''m hard pressed to think of many where we have a winning record when I''ve been in attendance. This isn''t a blind acceptance that people should always settle for what they''ve got, that''s ridiculous and the club ARE striving for improvement, hence the record investment, however, that investment is about half what newly promoted Cardiff have (allegedly) spent and despite our finances being healthy, we aren''t bankrolled like others, in that respect the uphill battle we face get''s a bit steeper. Personally speaking, the League One season was the most boring in football terms I can remember, enjoyable for the different teams and fans as much as the football. Rolling teams over week in, week out, it''s as close as I''m ever likely to come to supporting Man United and to be honest, they can keep it. I''m much happier seeing us compete at the top table, fighting every week rather than that. Maybe the more disgruntled fans are right and I''ve simply become immune to it through longevity of service but if you can''t enjoy us being in the top flight watching internationsl footballers play for our beloved club then I don''t really know what to say. It''s unlikely to get too much better than this in the forseeable future and this certainly beats a lot of what I''ve watched before, we were a long while in the wilderness and while I''ll always enjoy following City, I have to admit that I''m in no hurry to swap watching Fer for De Waard or Snodgrass for Fotheringham again. Thanks Warren, exactly as I feel. It is exciting to be a Norwich supporter knowing that on our day we could beat anybody! Or be beaten by anybody!
  22. Holt is a Norwich legend but last season he was not up for it and we were right to let him go. Hoolahan spat his dummy out like a spoilt child. Stick him in the reserves. He''s too lightweight for the PL anyways. OTBC
  23. Obi , like that. That is the attitude of the majority of fans and not the noisy negative pansies on here.
  24. I dear City. Maybe you have done a classic 4 + 4 = 9. Hoots will not lose his job if we stay up but as you are convinced we are going down you will get your wish... Or wi you! The fat lady has not sung yet.
  25. I enjoy every game as they mean so much. It''s about getting emotional and that''s easy to do when your in a dog fight . Much more interesting than mid table mediocrity. I am enjoying the ride but I am a extreme ride freak . I would be happy us being a yo yo club and enjoying the highs and lows. I do not want mid table boredom as that is the best we can expect to achieve given our status. So it''s exciting for me but I can handle the pressure!!! Many cannot and I feel sorry for them. If we had to get a point from our last game to stay up I would regard that as pure theatre and enjoy every moment and cry if we go down and cry if we stay up!!! WOOP WOOP OTBC
