  1. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/trainer/verfuegbaretrainer/statistik Here''s a list of current available managers. Marcelino García Toral is my preferred from that list, though could you imagine a Giggs and Gerrard management combo. Toral bought Villareal from the Spanish second division and managed to finish his seasons in the La Liga top 6 before his departure. This is a guy with a successful track record, experience of gaining promotion to the highest division and his old club played in yellow. He is probably not the most obvious solution but potentially an option.
  2. Ruddy Whitakker Martin Klose Olsson Murphy Dorrans Tetty Brady Oliviera Jerome Alex Neil said that Oliviera was a ''hold the ball up'' type and good at linking up play. Maybe he would fit into that role quite well and add an extra aerial threat in the air. I like Hoolahan but sometimes i think we''re a little bit light weight and he isn''t in his best form. I don''t think this will be the team Alex Neil would field but I would like to see us play some different tactics.
  3. Vanwink, my dissertation is now due next year so I''m still thinking of the ideas mentioned and other topics. is now due next year but we are aware that some of the content is controversial so my girlfriend would like to PM those who are willing to discuss this topic in further detail.
  4. My girlfriend is researching for a assignment at Uni where she''s doing a case study on Just Fashanu, so she wanted to know if any of you guys have experienced any chanting about him? What was said and when? Particularly if it was 90''s but also any time after that. Or just anything you people know about Justin Fashanu and homophobic talk about him in the football crowds (NCFC and opposition fans). All genuine replies will be appreciated.
  5. I agree, our points and position in the table does flatter to deceive imo. I think Forrest away will really be a good test to determine how we perform against a good side. Birmingham was definitely a kick in the canaries but some could argue including myself that they were not surprised by the result. However we was playing Naismith as a CF and the raw talent that is Canos, they seem to be the main victims from that result but generally the whole team should''ve done better. In a way it''s good to know that we can win games when we''re not getting above 3rd gear but it''s also worrying that the only game we have dominated was against a poor Blackburn team. I''m hopeful that Forrest away will be a test which we pass instead of crumble, we certainly have the ability to win.
  6. Ahh it''s up and working again, if anyone is interested; http://www.ustream.tv/channel/norwichfirst
  7. Does anyone have a radio stream which will work? There''s no links to watch it and I''m unable to get digital radio to listen to radio Norfolk.
  8. Goreham has tweeted that it will be roughly between 4 -6.
  9. Whatever happens, at the end of the day there is blatant evidence that we haven''t achieved what we set out to. On a number of occasions Alex Neil has said that he wan''ts proven prolific strikers at this level. We have not done that and whatever excuses Moxey et al comes up with, he can''t deny that we have failed to support our managers needs which would ultimately be in the best interest for our clubs future. The least I expect is an apology, a review of our recruitment and scouting system and word that we are already pursing our targets for January considering we had a net spend of £3m. What I actually expect is him to say that we had bids in for our players but we refused them and somehow making that out to be praiseworthy . How they tried their best and was ultimately unlucky. We have a good squad and still managed to get 2 strikers in (including Chamakh) and that we will have money to spend in January.
  10. Simply not good enough, people will say oh we kept Brady (a player who has been relegated twice in a row), Olsson (the same can be said about him and the PL) and Klose, who has hardly set the world alight this season. We have also managed to keep Naismith and Lafferty, two players who don''t want to be here. We bid £10+m for McCormack, failed and went on to sign a player we didn''t really need (Pritchard) as we signed Maddison, who is one of the brightest young talents outside the PL, don''t give him a chance and sent him to Aberdeen! We buy a striker who doesn''t suit the ''prolific'' quota previously demanded by Alex Neil and seemingly have no more money to spend on a marquee signing as we spent it on Pritchard in what comes across like an act of desperation, more than a priority signing. We also sold arguably our most influential attacking player in Redmond who''s quality hasn''t been replaced. Yes we have a half decent team, but that is expected as we''ve just been relegated from the best league in the world and we''re expected to challenge for promotion. However in no way have we improved it in my opinion. We have gone downhill and therefore the recruitment and scouting network said to be of Premier League standard by our own chairman who has been nowhere near the action in this crucial period. The has consequently failed their manager, players and supporters. People who say this has been a successful transfer window, I admire your optimism but i''m sure even our own manager will admit that this whole period of false hope is not what he wanted.
  11. Can only assume that this is a desperate act to get rid of some wage bills before bringing in someone who would cost a bit (Rhodes). Obviously this is all speculation but SURELY we have a reason? God i hope so anyway.
  12. This is pretty much a done deal according to a load of sky representatives on twitter. It''s understood that a 6 month loan deal will be announced by 6 o''clock. We can only hope that this means we''ll be getting someone else if Lafferty and Naismith leaves.
  13. Don''t really get the obsession with Chris Martin, don''t rate him that much but then again I''ve not seen him play too many times for Derby, but on the occasions which I have, he''s not stood out that much imo. He does have a fairly good scoring record in this league, I would like to think we could do better, but I have my doubts still.
  14. Don''t like seeing Brady at LB, but i guess that means we at least get to keep him.
  15. Ins: Onguene N''Doye Outs: Lafferty Morris I want to be optimistic, but my faith in Norwich on deadline days has lowered each year. This would be satisfactory even if it''s a bit underwhelming.
  16. I would definitely take Valencia, good player and 26 years of age we could do a lot worse.
  17. No worries Ron! Yeah can definitely agree, I find the the thought of it amusing but the reality of it quite sad.
  18. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3765383/Brighton-Norwich-interested-free-agent-Nicklas-Bendtner-following-release-Wolfsburg.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 Daily Mail says we''re interested in him along with Brighton. lol.
  19. Beautifully put Essjayess, i agree with everything you have just written. In regards to Kodjia, he has proven in the last season that his is more than capable at this level, but we have a squad full of players who we can say the same about. I am still hoping that we will sign one more striker, but i can''t see us spending this sort of money, as much as I would love to see Assombolonga in yellow and green. If anything, the most I am expecting is N''Doye on loan, even though this wouldn''t be the most exciting player, i guess it would be satisfactory. A lot could happen in the next 24 hours, a lot will happen, but with regards to our own club, one more striker would/should be enough.
  20. Under our previous manager Kyle was played out of position on many occasions, then AN came in and didn''t really fancy him because of his ''off the ball antics''. I''ve heard this is because his punctuality at times isn''t the best (could be rubbish), but his record for NI speaks for itself. A determined Kyle Lafferty with his head screwed on could be good at this level and it''s fair to say when he''s been played in his preferred position in cup games, he''s produced more often than not. At the end of the day he''s doesn''t come across like Alex Neil''s type of player, be that because of his attitude, ability or both, but I guess when a new manager comes in, they have the right to choose their team based on their philosophy. Either way Kyle is better off somewhere else for his careers sake, I hope he does well for you, but not too well :P.
  21. In a time where clubs like Man Utd are spending £92m on one player and Aston Villa in the Championship are spending £14m on a 30 year old, what clubs do you think have signed some great bargains? And who do you think will be the biggest flops? I genuinely think that Sergi Canos (£2.5m) is a bargain, Defour of Burnley for £7m and John Swift at Reading was a free agent. Understandably there''s a couple more days left in the window which leaves time for clubs to over spend/save. I''m hoping Norwich won''t let us down like they have in the past.
