Webbers full interview, out now
Ray replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
A few elephants still in the room imo. No mention of the manner in which he reacted to the few with the bedsheets and a few, shall I say, half truths in there. -
Stuart Webber Has Been Reported Missing.

Apparently was there but out of sight, which in itself speaks volumes, what it actually says is open to interpretation however. -
Robert Rinder & Michael Mcintyre in Home End

McIntyre certainly was -
Fan engagement at its lowest + disillusionment at its highest = Toxicity, let alone Norwich City, and decisions such as this without explanation only fuel the fire. Where oh where is the leadership required?

Anybody left that wants Webber to stay?
Ray replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Folks, I am sorry to report Roger Munby will not be at the last match as unfortunately he is in hospital, nothing too serious but has been suffering from a number of ailments for a year or two now but I'm sure he would see the humour in the smoke-off half time entertainment suggestion. -

Google Bot, By laying in to I did not mean physically, however his whole attitude was one of going on the attack, when in fact he didn't even need to confront them and should have ignored the noise, going out in the manner he did it was only going to end badly. The initial protest appeared to be focused on Delia more than him, his appearance inflamed the vitriol against him, especially as it came 24 hours after is media interview re 90%, etc. This in my opinion brings his judgement (around such matters) into question, especially having witnessed the Man City situation previously mentioned. All this said, I am of the opinion that if he gets his next move right then I would be happy for him to have another go, at getting it right, or at least better. -

Hi Google Bot, I was there, yes there was a pre-assembled group of max 8 people, yes they were using language they perhaps should not have done, which went up a notch or two when Webber confronted them, something they (he) has apologised for, it may have been a good idea if Webber had done the same. His whole demeanour was to confront, had he gone outside and engaged the dissenters in a calm manner then he would have held the high ground, unfortunately he did not, in fact, imo he should not have gone out in the first place, an opinion supported by the fact his wife pushed him back inside. I also witnessed him almost coming to blows with a member of the Man City backroom staff a coupe of years ago in the Directors' area, when he had to be pulled off/held back. There appears to be history of, shall we say, a rush of blood. -

I agree with this, however I also think he should have gone after the debacle outside the Directors' entrance. I believe most organisations would have sacked a senior executive for laying into its customers as he did, whatever the provocation. If he is to steady the ship (his position) then he needs to watch his step and be more sure footed than an 'Everest' mountain goat. -
TBH, NA had some guts considering SB was not adverse to posing with firearms!

They already do, shirts and shorts have yellow strips -
Parma, Perhaps chicken and egg is more appropriate here, does the mind lead the body, or the body lead the mind, if our players are of a 'positive/success driven' mindset is it more likely they will perform to a higher standard? I leave it to Walter D Wintle to answer that question in his poem, The Man Who Thinks He Can.
-
Parma, A very valid point. The brain is hard wired to achieve, hence the expression, be careful what you wish for, as the subconscious is unable to accept the negative/reverse of an idea, telling someone 'not' to look down is futile as the brain ignores the 'not' and hears, look down and therefore sends signals to do exactly that, the conscious can override this but is slower and weak compared to the subconscious. Expecting success must be the indigenous mindset if success is to be achieved, it guarantees nothing but certainly tips likely outcomes in your favour,

Liverpool wont sign unvaccinated players..
Ray replied to cambridgeshire canary's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Not quite true Naturalcynic, it is offered to healthcare personnel every year. In the summer of 2020 I had reason to meet with and discuss vaccines with 4 healthcare personnel on 4 separate occasions, 3 of them said they would not take the vaccine (this may have changed of course as we are talking about 15 months ago) and all of them said they do not take the flu vaccine, although one said she told the powers that be she had to keep the peace. Not a very scientific study I know, nor a particularly large sample group, but I found it interesting. -

So, no views on selfishness, a sentiment so often quoted on here, and Mother Teresa and Hitler then? -

Whether you are vaccinated or not you are selfish, as in a free'ish society everyone acts to satisfy their own values and beliefs, which of course vary. Try this, Mother Teresa and Adolf Hitler were equally selfish, discuss.
