1. Phil Henry NCFC fan since the 1971-72 promotion season to the old Division 1 and current season ticket holder in the Norwich and Peterborough stand along with my 2 kids.
 2. His comments demonstrate his ignorance of Norwich City and the English Championship. I''ve just entered his name on one of the anagram sites on the net and it came up with Moron Telsen. Says it all really.
 3.
Sweet memories of the other City Greats in that position, in the not too distnat past: Neil Adams - hmm Dave Philips - hmm hmm Ruuuuuuuuuel - get in there!! Disco - get RIGHT in there!!!
Not forgetting my favourite NCFC right winger of all time - Jimmy Neighbour. Scored the best individual goal I have ever seen at Carrow Road against Liverpool in a 2-1 victory in the late seventies, ghosting past 3 players and curling a left footed shot from outside the area into the top corner. His only weakness was that he would often pick out the man in the crowd with a cross at the end of a mazy dribble rather than our centre forward. For assists I reckon Disco Dale took some beating. He was also a smart finisher. I still think Jonson can do a good job for us there in the Championship.
 4. Definitely Worthy for the following reasons: - Still haven''t forgiven BFJ for his sour grapes after we beat them at Carrow Road in 2003-04 and pathetic "we are the best team in the league" comments. - Worthy is a manager on the way up and hungry for success whereas BFJ has been there before and is on the way down. - Worthy has got us promoted as Champions once and I think he can do it again.
 5. I was in Florida last year around the time we clinched the championship. I remember wearing my NCFC away shirt at Disney''s Magic Kingdom and Seaworld and meeting other similarly attired fans and celebrating our success. Happy times.
 6.
http://skysports.planetfootball.com/transfernews.asp?type=article&id=281858 Missed the boat again!!! Thomas has gone to Burnley according to SkySports. Worthington and co. need to pull their f...
The simple matter is we don''t know why Thomas chose Burnley over us. Perhaps he was guaranteed first team football at Burnley over being a squad player at Norwich or perhaps he has family in the area. If not then it smacks of a lack of ambition on behalf of the player to chose a middle of the road Championship team over likely promotion candidates, so maybe it''s just as well. Anyway, the last time I looked we had a Danish international playing in his likely position. Before anyone accuses Worthty of not moving quickly enough, remember it''s only June 1st and last season finished 3 days ago.
 7. Could be a good buy for any superstitious Championship manager as he has now been with promoted clubs in successive seasons. Having said that I really hope he plays in the premiership as he fully deserves to.
 8.
Greeno left out of England''s starting line up again If Eriksson is giving debuts to people like Richardson(fewer than 50 career starts, even though he did do well) and Knight he should give greeno a ...
Totally agree (I had to check the BBC site when I saw your post). How frustrating must it be for Greeno to watch calamity James from the bench. Let''s hope he gets on at some point.
 9.
i think im right in saying the canaries have been promoted as champs 3 times.they were champions in 71-72, 85-86, and how can we forget 2003-4.
You are correct Stephen. Oddly enough we have never been promoted to the top division in second place as on the other two occasions in 74-75 and 81-82 we finished third. The previous time we were relegated (94-95) was also the first time we did not go back up at the first attempt. So it''s 1st in 2005-06 then. OTBC
 10.
No! not Goals but linked at some point with each of the 20 prewier league clubs! So far AJ has been linked WBA (they can dream) and Birmingham...so he has 18 to go! who''s been linked with Ashton ...
Thought you meant tumbles in the penalty area, so was about to say Deano has no chance! Joking aside I think the maximum number of teams either of them could be linked with is 17 as Manure, Arsenal and Chelski can be ruled due to both players being English.
 11.
if ashton does go my tip will be wba, with earnshaw and money coming this way. i would still be gutted but earnshawwould soften the blow as he is a top striker with double figures in the premier witho...
Earnshaw would be a suitable replacement for Leon but not Ashton as they are totally different players. Sooner or later Earnshaw is going to do his knee ligaments anyway when he celebrates his goals, so I would not want to see him as a replacment for any of our strikers.
 12. Before we write Greeno off as replaceable it''s worth remembering some of his match winning saves in our championship season. The one against Stoke at the end of March particularly sticks in my memory as he saved a point blank header and kicked the rebound away with his feet as he was falling. Without that save we would have drawn the match and the end of season run in could have been different. We would also need a goal-scoring midfielder to replace Francis, which may not be easy to come by in the Championship. Having said all that I agree that Deano cannot be replaced.
 13. In my opinion one of the key ingredients missing from the team this season was leadership on the field. Last season we had Malky and Iwan and although we still have players who lead by example (Greeno, Hux, Deano, Adam to name four) none of them seem like a natural leader. It could have been Helveg, but his poor start cannot have helped instill confidence in him with the rest of the team. Doherty seems as quiet as a mouse on the field, Fleming spent too much time criticising others and Shackell needs more experience. So, in my opinion, more than anything else what we need for next season is: - A leader / organiser at the back - A midfield general Any thoughts?
 14. There was more commitment from Francis in Alex Notman''s benefit match tonight than we saw from him on Sunday. He has the talent and physical presence to dominate matches like Bouba Diop did for Fulham, but lacks the drive to do so. He needs to take a long hard look at himself. Gary Holt at least gives his best and it''s not his fault that he lacks the quality to succeed in the Premiership.
 15.
It''s pretty clear after yesterday''s gutless and inept display that some players had already settled their futures and were having a bit of a laugh! The rumours that Green, Francis and Ashton are on th...
As far as I''m concerned Francis can leave for nothing. His (lack of) performance on Sunday was nothing short of disgraceful and he ought to issue an apology to all the fans that turned out. Greeno kept the score down to single figures and had no chance with any of the goals. The one positive thing to come out of Sunday was Deano''s performance. He never stopped trying and won most of the balls up to him and on another day would have scored 2. He also seems like a top bloke and I reckon we will see at least another season from him in NCFC colours. You didn''t mention Bentley. So much talent and so little return from him. He has performed in two matches this season, Bolton and Man U at home and the rest of the time he has showboated for the camera.
 16.
Yes you do - please answer this question: Who should be appointed as our new manager if Worthy is sacked?
You still haven''t said who should take over.
 17. IN! What this club continues to need is stability and if Worthy is sacked we will be back to where we were when we got relegated in 1995 and can forget about the Premiership for another 10 years. Worthy deserves the chance to get as back at the first time of asking. Perhaps those that continue to post Worthy out messages on here could suggest who would do a better job.
 18.
Do i really need to say anymore?
Yes you do - please answer this question: Who should be appointed as our new manager if Worthy is sacked?
 19.
Just a word from us Crewe fans... I was on this website back in January telling toy that you have brought one of the best strikers outside the premiership... Well, Deano has proved me right and you n...
I think Deano proved today that he has got what it takes to play at the very top. He won just about everything in the air up front and a better striker that Leon would have had a field day with the number of knock-on''s he did. We badly need to hang on to him for next season. Congratulations on staying up and (unfortunately) see you next season. OTBC
 20.
He''s given 4 crucial decisions against us (2 pens not given, deano''s good goal and boa morte''s dive) that will probably cost us our prem place. Thanks, mate. Even Mike Riley would have reffed better t...
It''s not Worthy''s style to give a referee a roasting when decisions don''t go our way (other manager''s - Ferguson, Allardice to name two - please take note). Don''t think we can blame the ref for today''s result even though I thought the trip on Hux was a cast iron pen. At the end of the day our performance was not good enough.
 21. Not just the fact that we got relegated today, but the manner of the defeat was extremely disappointing. Ok a few decisions did go against us in the 1st half, but that does not excuse the fact that a number of our players gave up in the second half. Hopefully they can find it in themselves to apologise to the fans that turned up in their thousands and were first class yet again. Still think Worthy is the man to get us up again next season OTBC.
 22.
OK so in one match against the Arsenal we employed a defensive system that gave them not one corner and only 3 chances, of which they scored 2-we had 8 corners the same number of chances and took none...
I agree that the plan nearly got you a draw, however, I still think that the Arsenal game was one you needed to win. I guess we will all know a bit more after this weekends matches.Good luck for the rest of the season (although not at our expense of course).
 23. Just read in the EDP that the player all Norwich fans love to hate is to quit Millwall and return to Australia after their final game against Burnley. Here''s hoping that one of the Burnley players give him a kick to send him on his way!
 24.
you have a sad life and probably no friends
That''s a bit harsh. I thought it was an entertaining post (especially the bit about Johnson scoring an og from a penalty). The only flaw in your dream, boil, is that Robson would see Portsmouth ladies as a threat and would deploy his normal 5-5-0 formation resulting in the inevitable 2-0 defeat.
 25. Please come back as it''s always interesting to hear from Norwich fans from other countries. The nature of forums such as this is that from time to time posts will be made that the majority of others disagree with, but this does not make your opinion any less valid than the next persons. It would be good to hear how much support there is for Norwich where you are from and how it compares with the likes of Man U and Arsenal.
