Todays offical starting 11

I'm not against Rupp starting when Emi and Todd are also in the team. Seems reasonably balanced. However, I think Onel will be frustrated to miss out. He was our best player against Everton. Man Utd look strong these days and their bench is pretty concerning considering they will likely be coming on against tired legs in the 2nd half. -
What on earth has happened to us?

Agreed, that was meant be a criticism not an excuse. -

From what I saw, both sets of teams were mostly going through the motions - difference is one team scored from a set piece. -

No doubt in my mind that this is the worst Premier League season I can remember us producing. Worthy, Neil and Hughton got stick for some miserable relegations - but not since we were relegated from the championship have I seen so many 'no shows' in 1 season. -

This is painful. It's like a training session for Everton. -

No leadership on the pitch. No one trying to lift the team. Hard to believe this is the same squad that mounted so many come backs and last minute winners last season... -

It's been a decent start. I've been a big fan of Tettey this season, very disciplined defensively - I think he would have made a difference against Southampton. Certainly reduces the overload opportunities. Hernandez too has looked promising. We really miss a player who can take players on and break with a bit of pace. -

Well, it's not the team I would have picked. However, after the debacle that was Friday - changes had to be made. -
Will Ipswich Town go out of business?
HertsCanary93 replied to The Real Buh's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Just because a moronic subset of their online fan base want us to go bust, that doesn't make our fans who want the same on them any less petty and stupid. It's pretty tinpot for fans a Premier League club to gain excitement out of their League 1 rivals ceasing to exist. I've got zero links to Bury football club, but any real football fan would surely think it was sad to see their club vanish. -

I can only assume that anyone that wants another club to go bust, regardless of whether they are a rival or not, is either less than 10 years old or has less than 10 brain cells. Potentially both. -
Klose.... unfit or finished?
HertsCanary93 replied to TeemuVanBasten's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Personally, I thought he played better than Godfrey... The reason we conceded three goals was that our fullbacks kept getting caught out of position and the midfield offered the exposed CBs no protection. Better defenders than Godfrey and Klose are going to be made to look like donkeys when they play in the prem with no support. -
I always look forward to the next season, regardless of what division we are in. I do not support Norwich for glory, the fact we should win more games in the Championship doesn't excite me any more than a Premier League relegation scrap. I would argue that Lamberts first season with us in the Prem, was just as exciting as the two promotion seasons that preceded it. We didn't win as many games, but we competed against the big boys and gave a great account for ourselves. We have made some big mistakes this season, on and off the pitch. By no means was a bottom finish a forgone conclusion on our promotion. Smaller teams have had exciting runs in the Premier League - one awful showing from us won't change that.

Where are all the Happy Clappers
HertsCanary93 replied to Uncle Fred's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
If I had to genuinely pick a positive, it is that Klose played the full 90mins after his terrible injury and looked as fit as the rest of the squad. Make of that what you will. Other than that... It was another terrible performance in an important game to add to the list this season. No positives to be taken. We looked unfit, unorganised and outclassed man for man. -
Hard to argue that the management from Farke was anything other than poor today. We played with two strikers at the expense of a third midfielder, which meant we struggled to keep possession and were ripe for the picking on the break. We could have lost by 5 or 6 today. Fair enough, he tried something new - but we did not adapt to the flow of the game. Something had to change system-wise at half time.

This has been us in every must win game this season. Villa H, Watford H, Sheff Utd H... The list goes on. Never in danger of staying up if you are so consistent with losing big games. -

In a break from the negative comments. I think Klose has looked very promising for a player who has been out for so long. -

There's been space to play Drmic and Pukki in, but players haven't had their head up to make the pass. The one time the ball made it through, Drmic took a poor touch and got the ball stuck under his feet. Will be expecting some changes on the 60min mark. Vrancic for McClean would be the first I would make. If we're playing two up top, we need to play some balls into them. -
Zimmermann and Byram also out for the season
HertsCanary93 replied to Pete Raven's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Is Klose confirmed to be fit? I know there have been images of him doing some ball work - but his injury was one that some players never recover from. If Zimmermann and Hanley hadn't have suffered injuries, I wouldn't have expected Klose to feature in a match day squad until next season. I expect we will see Tettey play CB again before the end of the season. -
Well, I hope the next game is better...

Wow.... My favorite part of the half time analysis - "we've reached out to Hawkeye, but they are yet to comment"

I think it will be a very interesting game to watch regardless of the result. Very glad to have the football back
