1. Thanks for the reposnses, we''ll go with keelansgrandads version. [:D]
 2. Chat with colleagues this morning about Man U last night and the subject got onto thier new pink away shirt. First time I''ve been in this office since the news about the painting of the away dressing room so I''ve countered the ''bants'' by mentioning the MUFC shirt as them copying our idea.As the MUFC marketing says the new shirt is a reference/homage to thier local papers sport supplement being printed on pink paper and ours was also, does anyone know why they used pink paper?
 3. The Venky''s must''ve been selling a lot of chicken!
 4.

Insightful and probing question from Waveney.
What question was that?
My guess is it was this one. 20:43 Q: How sustainable is the self-funding model and do we need a rich backer? Stone: It''s difficult to compete against rich clubs. But we are a self-funding club, and we feel we are competitive now.
 5.
He was James Bond then tell us. We wont tell anyone.
If they tell they''d then have to kill you.
 6.

As if I''m angry. Even if you say it three times it won''t make it true. I thought you had a bit of wherewithal Dicky. But 40m?🙃 Is that what Billy Brighton told you?
OK, will put it in simple terms for you without any insults or references to where you live - Maddison - £22million, Murphys (joint) about the same - if we then add in Pritchard plus the other 3 or 4 players that we have got money for, I have completely understated it. If we take off what we have spent (approx £4.5 million plus fees) then I think my figures more than add up. (sits back and waits for next insult and reference to Brighton....)
This must be why the club employs Steve Stone and not Dicky. [:D]
 7.

Try looking at the positives-it could easily have been 6 points. And why do we need to raise another £40 million?
I have always been positive - been called a Keep the Faither and a Happy Clapper, but I honestly can''t see anything positive happening to our club. Delia and Co are happy with us becoming a bang average Champs (or even Div 1) club whereas I am not. Why do we need to raise another £40million - we have been told that we had to sell to balance the books. How will we do that next season without any family silver to sell off to more ambitious clubs?
Will there be a £40 million imbalance in the clubs finances next season, haven''t the club taken measures to prevent that?
 8.
Of course we have had a terrific financial boost through the sale of two Murphy''s and a Maddison; ironic considering there is a feeling (not entirely unsupported by SW) that everything that went before was a disaster and "pissed up against the wall" . Good job his predecessors got some things right.
That was in relation to the Premier League money and not ''everything that went before''.
 9.
Adrian Chiles show
Did Ed invite Adrian to the game tomorrow?
 10.
Good on her. But wearing a long flammable scarf in a kitchen environment is VERY dangerous and sets a poor example to cooks all over the country.
Good point! Would never have been allowed during the McNally/Bowkett era. [:D]
 11.
Really want to work out which player is in the framed picture behind them... It looks like Hernandez shaped head. It can''t be Jarvis because it would have fell off the wall.
It could be Oliveira, he lost his focus last season. [:D]
 12.
Highstreets are dying because of online shopping. With Amazon Prime I can order pretty much anything and get it next day, cheaper than I would in most shops. High streets need to evolve.
I don''t know about ''evolve'', but a level playing field might also help.https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-45053528"Amazon UK tax payment falls to £1.7m"
 13.
........like going in to a horror movie set. ............. it was quite unreal. Dark, airless and easy to lose your bearings, shan''t venture in there again.
Is this from a Tripadvisor review of Poorman Rd?
 14. Just watched the ad and it''s a work of genius. The best first line in a TV ad EVER!
 15. https://www.campaignlive.co.uk/article/delia-smith-combines-cooking-football-latest-ee-ad/1489441Great picture of the legend pictured with Kevin Bacon, she now qualifies for ''six degrees of separation''. [:D]
 16. Steve Bruce''s header in the 2nd leg of the Milk Cup semi-final.Keith Bertchin''s celebration after scoring against 1p5wich in the FA Cup.Goss''s volley.Andy Linigans 2nd goal for Arsenal v Sheff Weds that secured our place in the Uefa Cup.Jimmy Bone''s goal against Everton.
 17.
Whatever you say about the pros/cons of preseason friendlies the object is not to go all out and risk the kind of long term injuries that we incurred last year. However the real purpose is to ''gel'' the new ''intake'' and test the shape etc the team intends to employ. Does not sound as though there was a lot of that going on on Sat: http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/2018/07/29/a-non-descriptive-80-minutes-followed-by-a-late-encouraging-flurry-but-two-big-questions-remain-unanswered/ Is it still felt that my pessimism regarding our owners/management committee remains misplaced? I am sure you will let me know although you might wish to give it the previously mentioned 10 games!
The poster is coming across as pessamistic about his pessimism.
 18.
Yes, I said delete his stats. Well done. People on here truly cannot read today... From the Cambridge Dictionary... "If you stake a claim to something, you say or show that you have a right to it and that it should belong to you" In my opinion McGovern didn''t show enough in those games to show the number one shirt should belong to him. Hope that helps.
The number one shirt belonged to Ruddy, he was number 33.Hope that helps.
 19.
I don''t count being a bit shit for 15-20 games to be staking a claim. He''s yet another gold star for Alex Neil in the transfer market.
Maybe we should petition all the stats web sites to delete his details from thier records then, just put a note in that says ''some bloke on the internet says it''s not valid so we''ve left it blank''. [:D]
 20.
DF: "Its some good news with Jordan as the scan has confirmed only a minor ligament injury in his ankle. He will miss the game against Charlton but should be ok to join training next week and hopefully be available for the Birmingham game." Pukki also ok - available for tomorrow as well.
It''s a Norfolk Day miracle!
 21. They''ll probably be wearing it tomorrow so it''s definitely not red.
 22. The news was good for Norwich City after scans confirmed on-loan striker Jordan Rhodes will be fit for the start of the new season.
 23.
"The way KC has put that is if McGovern sits on his bum doing nothing" No, no I didn''t. I said waste of wages- my understanding is he''s paid pretty well and yet has never really staked a claim for the number one job.
He did in the 16/17 season.
 24.
Perhaps Delia should open one of her restaurants at Portman Road as all their signings are being described as ''hungry'' (and lower league.) We have frequently benefitted from plucking players from L1 etc, particularly under Lambert, so it could work. Lambert had Grant Holt though, whilst Hurst has just lost his Holt type influence in Waghorn and all his replacements are from the lower leagues. The league development system suggests that these players are plying their trade in the basement areas for a reason but that is not set in stone and we have reason enough to believe that it hardly applies to the Bundeslegia. Let''s all hope that Paul Hurst''s lower league mentality fails to bare fruit at Championship level. Waghorn is the one player from the binners that I wouldn''t have minded in the yellow, but £8m would be stretching it a bit and I am quite happy with our Summer dealings in any case.
Wasn''t Bryan Gunn our manager when we signed Grant Holt?
