1.

for the recored, I know football very well and have been involved in it for the past 10 years. Mainly training and coaching with some management.Nothing outside of under 18''s or even semi profesional so don''t get excited. But I certainly know what im doing.......
Glad we''ve clarified that. So it''s just a case of you having your knife into Morison then? The sentence "he played well for Morison" rather gives the game away.....[;)]
The levels of Nexus'' hyperbole and hatred where Morison is concerned know no bounds.
 2. It''s not hard to work out why they do it. They gave us top billing last night because they had more or less no choice. Most goals and the most entertaining game to watch, but the simple fact is that there are less people interested in NCFC and SCFC than there are the bigger clubs in the division. If they gave us more screen time than the clubs with a bigger fan base they''d lose viewers, and that''s what it''s all about. What I really don''t get is why anyone cares. Are you so insecure that you need pundits cracking one off over Holt''s latest performance every week. It''s easily possible to watch every game these days, home and away, so why people are desperate for every element of the game to be disected in minutiae is beyond me. I''m more than capable of forming my own opinions on the important events in the game.If you believe Gary Lineker''s comments on twitter last night he''s happy we''re doing well, but that doesn''t fit with the paranoia on here, so we''ll ignore that.
 3. Jesus. Grow up. The sheepshagger stuff is up there with being called inbreds, as Norwich fans frequently are. Do any of us bleat about it (pun intended)? No, we laugh it off. There''s a world of difference between piss taking and the ritual vilification of people whose ancestors were treated appallingly, by people who have barely evolved past the animals they profess black players to be. Now...go and cry into your pillow, you pathetic little child.
 4. I can''t believe he''s brought up this tripe again and it''s made 4 pages. That which is not fed will eventually die.
 5.

I think you''re wrong about Morison, but I''m not willing to discuss the matter any further with someone who thinks that Chris Hughton would put a player on the pitch when 1-0 up against Utd in order to "shop window" him. That tells me all I need to know about the validity of your opinion.
I mentioned nothing about todays game and shop windowing ! I also said that Moro even played his part. My comment was about Moro''s place in the pecking order at the moment, as Jackson gives us a lot more."My only thoughts about his being above Jacko in the pecking order is that Hughton is shop windowing him."That is what I said about shop windows, so I suggest you stop licking them and learn to read or at least analyse comments rather than jumping to conclusions !As for people saying Moro is ready to challenge Holt I find this hilarious, you would judge 10 minutes on the field as a reasonable challenge for Holt ?The whole team changes when Holt is on the field, you can see the confidence raise and the heads go up.He is our talisman and without him the glue would come unstuck, of course he is replaceable and there will be a time when he needs to go.Now is not that time and Moro is no where near a sutible replacement. He does not galvanise the team like Holt, has no where near Holt''s work rate and does not get back to defend. So now give me some actual reasons why Moro is even in the same conversation as Holt ?!
Ahh, the Internet. A place for the wilfully ambiguous to bleat "that''s not what I meant". So, you think that despite Jackson offering "so much more", CH chose to bring on Morison for Holt. If it wasn''t, in this instance, to put him in the shop window, as you contended, he must rate him highly enough to trust him to do a job at a critical point in a tough game. I''ll trust ( and agree with) the manager''s opinion on who''s good enough for our team/squad, but apparently you know better. The potential financial incentive for picking up 3 points far outweighs the money we could get for Morison if we sold him, so to suggest he would be put on the pitch in an effort to sell him is ridiculous. If you''d care to re-read (or stop deliberately ignoring) my previous posts you''ll notice that I never said Morison was a replacement for holt, I never said anything about 10 minutes being a reasonable challenge to holt, and said holt should start. What I did say was he is worthy of a place in our squad. You must have missed him winning the ball and making clearances in our box at the end of the game yesterday.
 6.

So season ticket holders are "plastic" now, are they? Get a grip.
Ok so as you hold a season ticket you will agree the guy has done nothing to warant a place in our squad since January 2012 other than the Arsenal goal ?Give me a good argument as to what he gives us ?My only thoughts about his being above Jacko in the pecking order is that Hughton is shop windowing him.
I think you''re wrong about Morison, but I''m not willing to discuss the matter any further with someone who thinks that Chris Hughton would put a player on the pitch when 1-0 up against Utd in order to "shop window" him. 7. So season ticket holders are "plastic" now, are they? Get a grip.
 8.

Shame you couldn''t make it to the game today.
LOL so true, OP not got a clue ! Holt was immense today, even Moro pulled a shift ( shocking ! )That said, Moro does need to leave in January, hes not up to the standard. And to suggest he should have Holt''s place in the starting XI is hilarious !
Rubbish. He''s more than worthy of a place in our squad. I''d bet you weren''t of that opinion half way through last season when he was banging them in?!
 9. I''m not calling for holt to be dropped because he ran his socks off today and gave the defenders a hard timebut I thought for the short time he was on the pitch today, Morison was terrific. He won every ball that came his way, controlling most and distributing the ball. The first touch to pull the ball out of the sky was sublime. He also timed his pass to jonny to perfection.
 10. I think he''s far better, and yesterday was an exception. Much more aware and a more cultured footballer. However, given my recent comment on Turner/Ward, I should know better than to pass comment on our defenders [:)]
 11.
My gut feeling is that Turner is less error prone than Ward. Yes, he played Ba onside but he was tracking the run of Cisse. He could have let him run offside, but the lack of tracking on Ba was equally bad. Other than that I can''t remember any glaring errors.
I''d like to be self quoting to say I told you so, but after yesterday''s shambles, I 100%, unreservedly, cap in hand retract the above statement. I couldn''t believe it when Turner re-appeared for the 2nd half.
 12.

My gut feeling is that Turner is less error prone than Ward. Yes, he played Ba onside but he was tracking the run of Cisse. He could have let him run offside, but the lack of tracking on Ba was equally bad. Other than that I can''t remember any glaring errors.
Hope that you are only referring to the Newcastle game and not the Fulham one?
I think the Fulham game can be viewed as a statistical outlier for the whole team, so yes, I''m talking about the Newcastle game.
 13. Jesus. He can''t win, can he?His prediction is obviously a nod to LOLverpool''s poor league performances, coupled with having a few first team players missing. If he predicted another 3-0 Liverpool win, the same lot on here would bemoan his obvious Norwich hatred.
 14.

i hope your''e not basing this on Ward''s performance vs a dreadful Doncaster?........how ever bad you think Turner has been (which I think has been grossly over exaggerated), he hasnt put in a performance such as the one Ward did vs Liverpool in April!
Are people ever going to move on from that Liverpool game?   Ward got mugged by a £20m world class forward who terrorises more established Premier League defenders every week. Ryan Bennett was also rubbish in that game too but fortunately for him Suarez''s inconsistent finishing let him off the hook.   His good games for Norwich City far outweigh his bad ones and he deserves a bit better than people holding that one game against him. Do you remember that he played in our glorious 1-2 win at Spurs? That kind of thing seems to get forgotten pretty quickly and conveniently.
He didn''t get mugged at all. He made 2 bad errors that resulted in goals. Admittedly, the finishing after those errors was special, but had he actually made that tackle on the touchline, or not completely missed the ball on the halfway line, those chances wouldn''t have come about. In fact, the person that got mugged in that game was David Fox, by Gerrard, which also resulted in a goal.None the less, Ward had been threatening a performance like that since he first came back into the team. He made the odd great challenge, preventing goal scoring chances,  but often passed directly to the other team in his own hal, amongst other unforced errors. The whole team was poor that day, but Ward''s performance really stood out.My gut feeling is that Turner is less error prone than Ward. Yes, he played Ba onside but he was tracking the run of Cisse. He could have let him run offside, but the lack of tracking on Ba was equally bad. Other than that I can''t remember any glaring errors.
 15.
There are too many people writing Grant off so early on in the season again after the season he had last season. Last season it took him about  7-8 games to get going. Please give him a chance and he will get going again. This video just sums up what Grant means to the team, from the first impact he makes on the defender to the screamers he scored against Man U and Everton, he sums up what a proper English and Norwich no. 10 should be. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tZ3eT8oYpQ4
He''s not a  no. 10You musy have a funny perception of a "screamer". It certainly means something different to me.I''d forgotten how bad the defending was down in league 1. He was skinning defenders for pace and the gaps between the back 4 was like the parting of the red sea. Some great finishes in that lot though.
 16. A few clubs find themselves with new managers this season, what are your thoughts on the old guard and new?I''m happy with CH, but never felt like there were other outstanding candidates for the job. I don''t really blame Paul Lambert for leaving. By refusing him permission to talk to Villa we effectively forced him to resign. I get the feeling he''s a man of principle. Had we allowed him to talk to Villa he might have stayed when they turned out to not be the promised land he was hoping for, but our refusal compelled him to leave of his own volition.Nobody wants to see their old boss succeed when they bugger off though, do they?Swansea got huge amounts of praise last season and yet you finished level on points, is there any resentment or are you glad of flying under the radar a little? No resentment at all. I''d like to see us get a bit more of the praise we deserved last season, but Swansea deserve theirs. It''s good to watch, if a little inconsistent.Delia; Is she bat crap crazy?Yeah, I think so, but in a good way. Say what you like about her, but her support has helped us survive and get to where we are today. I''d rather have her than become another QPR.Often clubs that come up have to put up with a fair bit of patronising nonsense from pundits and other fans, have you felt that? There''s an obvious bias towards coverage of the larger clubs who will have a say in the title race. The patronising can be irritating, but when so much screen time is given to the big clubs, it''s always going to be difficult to say anything of note. It kind of washes over me TBH.What do you think of the current Newcastle side?Talented, no doubt, but a little light when injuries strike. We bullied you at Carrow Rd last season when you were weak defensively, and I can''t see that you''ve improved enough should the same thing happen this season.Which Norwich player do you predict will have a big season?Snoddy and Bassong are the obvious choices at the moment. They''ve made the biggest impact in their respective positions IMO. Garrido also looks like a great signing, combining calmness on the ball with defensive nous. I''m hopeful that Jacob Butterfield will come good too. We''ll end up playing 4-5-1 at some point this season, and he looks like he could slot in well behind the lone man, with Tettey and Fox behind him, hopefully. Which Norwich player do you predict will have a disappointing season?I''m confident that all of the squad who make more than a couple of appearances will make some sort of telling contribution, but looking back at last season, and then the summer, Holt has the furthest to fall. He''s started poorly, but has that convenient habit of making you eat your words. What''s a realistic aim for Norwich this season? Where have you strengthened to achieve this?Survival. The defence has a solidity to it that was seriously missing last season (Fulham aside) Who will win the Premier League this year and why?I''ll buck the trend here and say Chelsea, with the caveat that Torres needs to start scoring regularly. Their midfield is amazing, but they can''t rely on them for all the goals. I''d actually be pleased for RDM if he could pull it off. How do you see the top 6 panning out? and why?Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Everton, Toon. Everton take Spurs''  place as they''ve added the goals and creativity to their defensive solidity. Spurs look a little confused under AVB. Which teams will be relegated and why?Southampton, Reading and QPR. Hopefully. Southampton look like they''re going to concede far too many to get by. Reading still look like a Championship side. QPR are a horrible club going about billionaire ownership in the worst possible fashion. Which new Premier League players are you looking forward to seeing?Hazard and Oscar both look pretty special. Who will be your danger man/men against Newcastle?I think you''ll have to shut Snodgrass down. He''s adjusting to the pace well and I''m sure the crosses will start finding their targets soon. He''s also a goal threat when he drifts infield. Which Newcastle players are you worried about?Ben Arfa makes things happen for you. We need to be snapping at his heels and not let him get the ball out of his feet. Finally, what do you reckon the score will be?A win either way by the odd goal.
 17. As much as it pains me to say it, Gary Neville has been the pundit/analyst I''ve enjoyed watching over the last 2 seasons. The busy little cunt.
 18.
Holty clearly piles the pounds on with ease, so a blame-fest is not really in order. Maybe it''s the summer booze, like me.
That''s kind of the point, though. He no doubt has access to excellent nutritionists. There is no way a professional sportsman should be in that position while still playing. He can have a few beers over the summer without turning up for the start of the season a stone heavier than he was 3 months ago (or however much it is).
 19.
Seriously people, there''s been strings of decent/half decent players over the years that aren''t built like athletes and only have to look at a menu and put on a couple of pounds.  Holt is just one of them, he''ll be fine in a week or two.
I''m one of those unfortunate sods who put on weight as soon as look at the menu. If I was a pro footballer at the highest level, I''d be damn sure that I looked at an alternative menu if it meant turning up for the start of the season in proper shape. He''s only got 3 more years and then he can retire and drink Fray Bentos smoothies to his heart''s content. Before I get lynched, GH has been a great captain and player for us over the last 3 years. I''m always happy for him, the team, and us the supporters when he does well and results follow, but why anyone thinks what he does is acceptable is beyond me.As for those saying unfit players wouldn''t get on the pitch...I give you Jan Molby & John Hartson (and probably many others I can''t be. Both have turned out for our team in far less than optimal condition. I''m not drawing comparisons, as they made 7 appearances between them, but it''s the truth none the less.
 20.

When Holt made his debut for us, pre-season against man u before league 1, I saw this overweight sluggish forward and thought we''d got another Peter Thorne. Then when we had the start of our championship season Holt turned up unfit, overweight and off the pace. I thought he''d lost it and that he would never cut it above league 1. Last year he was slow to start, and I was concerned that the premier league was maybe a step too far. I know better this time.
We all know he can do it, but he SHOULDN''T BE STARTING SLOWLY. The reason it happens is because he doesn''t turn up at the start of the season in good enough shape. I don''t care how many goals he''s score over the last 3 seasons...it''s not on.
Are you aware that at the end of each season every player is assessed and they are given a training plan and targets for when they return for the next pre-season, if he did not meet those targets then he would''ve been fined and given extra training. Does anyone know if he was fined?
Fitness is a big part of my job. I know what it looks like when someone is not in the best condition. IMO Holt has come back from pre-season in less than optimal condition. He looks bigger and is clearly not as sharp as he could be (especially when compared to the rest of the team). I don''t think he''s crap. Just a bit lacking in fitness. If you don''t agree, then fine, but I won''t be told I''m talking b****cks when I can see for myself that he doesn''t look at his best physically.

 22.

How people dare to point fingers at Holt is beyond me ! A man who ALWAYS starts slow and delivers. A man who WOULD NOT cut it in the Championship. Who DEFFINATLY Would not cut it in the Prem. A man who has delivered time and time again despite being a porker !
The point a lot of people are making, and quite rightly, is that Grant Holt might well be delivering NOW if he had turned up at the start of the season in some sort of decent shape. His sole job through the summer is to keep himself fit for the season ahead. He''s paid handsomely for it, and has 100% failed to do that.He showed what he''s capable of last season when he lost the flab after being dropped. He looks horrendous at the moment. Slow, sat on his heels, immobile and unable to have much in the way of a meaningful impact on games. He won more or less nothing in the air yesterday. Morison came on and won pretty much every ball that was played up to him. In his first five minutes on the pitch he''d won more in the air that Holt had managed in 60 odd minutes. The apologists will point out what a hard time he gives the defenders. How Clint Hill was subbed at half time because he couldn''t handle it. What, exactly have these gargantuan efforts from our portly captain garnered? Certainly not the wins that the overall team performances warranted in the last two home games. For most people, turning up for work in state that means you''re not really fit to do your job would land you in trouble. Not only has Grant Holt done just that for the first few games of this season, but he''s done it off the back of negotiating himself a cushy new contract. If I was David McNally or Chris Hughton I''d be f**king seething.
Yet another post of complete and utter bollocks
In what way is it bollocks? I''d like you to point out point by point what is bollocks about that post. It''s a reaction to what I''ve seen, and as far as I''m concerned is more or less on the money. The rest of the team look good. The defence looks more solid than it did last year. The midfield, while not stellar, have been good enough. Snodgrass has proved his doubters wrong and looks like he''ll both create and score goals. What''s missing is the ability up front to make the ball stick, or win the ball in the air. Holt did this brilliantly last season. On Saturday he barely ever brought the rest of the team into the game when it was played up to him. He won next to nothing in the air. He either concentrated on his defender too much or completely mistimed his jump (usually far too early). I was shocked when Holt stayed on and Morison replaced Jackson, as was more or less everyone around me.What did he do? In what way did he contribute to making us a more effective attacking side? I just can''t understand why some people can''t ever see that Grant Holt has bad games. It fucking baffles me.
 23.
Holt didn''t come back out of shape, every team member has to take fitness tests etc when they get back and obviously Holt was fine as he passed it, he worked very hard over pre season apparently so stop rumour mongering. Get sick and tired of people on this site speaking doom and gloom, especially when you don''t even know half of what''s going on, i am in the fortunate position that my brother in laws uncle actually works for the club as a scout and is good mates with Hughton from their time at Newcastle so i get to hear about things that are going on behind the scenes and the club is in a really good place at the moment, Hughton admitted that he couldn''t believe how good we actually were and isn''t even concerned about relegation so why are you lot? Again in regards to Holt, he has had nothing better than a half chance so far this season so give him a break
I''m not rumour mongering. I''m relaying what I see with my own, perfectly functional eyes. I couldn''t give a thrupenny bit what your "contact at the club" says goes on behind the scenes. It''s not about Holt''s goal contribution. His overall play has been poor compared to the latter half of last season. He had been dropped for a length of time last season, and when he came back he was noticeably leaner and fitter. Come the new season and he looks sluggish again.
