6. Zavon Hines form West Ham? He would solve both the winger and striker problem.
7. I am relatively new to this forum and havn''t mastered how to quote with the blue box showing. Instead it put my quote in a load of other writing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
8.
A striker who I think is playing at a level far beneath his ability is Craig Davies at Chesterfield. Could partner Holt or replace him if he is injured. Was at Perugia, or Verona I think and came back to England to play. Has 17 goals this season, maybe we could get him on loan with a payment in advance for his services in the summer.
Pretty sure he is on a season long contract at chesterfield and is yet to agree a new deal. Could be free in the summer. Think it said on football league show.
9. With leicester losing, a win would have put 7 points clear of them!
10. We can''t be complacent tonight however, judging by the comments made by theier chairman, they''ve given up before they''ve even started. Therefore, it wouldn''t suprise me if we did go and thump them tonight.
11. If this is the case, are making space for another loan signing?
12. I remember a few years ago when tottenham''s main players were struck down with food poisoning and therefore lost to west ham on the last day of the season, arguably costing them a champions league place - no action was taken before or after the game, so I don''t think there''s any risk of our game being called off.
13. I am fully aware that a lot of those will be incorrect. I predicted them by what is most likely to happen. I agree with most people, in that it is to close to call and that the league might not finish like that but i was just having a bit of fun.
14. Thought I would have a go at predicting the top 6 of the table by looking at each teams remaining fixtures. Obviously they aren''t going to all be right but I''ll try and get as close as possible. NORWICH: Doncaster (h) - win - 3pts Barnsley (a) - win - 3pts Preston (h) - win - 3pts Leicester (a) - lose - 0pts Bristol City (h) - win - 3pts Hull (a) - draw - 1pt Scunthorpe (h) - win - 3pts Swansea (a) - draw - 1pt Watford (a) - draw - 1pt N Forest (h) - draw - 1pt Ipswich (a) - draw - 1pt Derby (h) - win - 3pts Portsmouth (a) - draw - 1pt Coventry (h) - win - 3pts Total from remaining games - 27pts QPR: Ipswich (h) - win - 3pts Middlesbrough (a) - draw - 1pt Leicester (h) - draw - 1pt Millwall (a) - draw - 1pt Crystal Palace (h) - win - 3pts Doncaster (a) - win - 3pts Sheffield Utd (h) - win - 3pts Scunthorpe (a) - win - 3pts Barnsley (a) - draw - 1pt Derby (h) - win - 3pts Cardiff (a) - draw - 1pt Hull (h) - draw - 1pt Watford (a) - win - 3pts Leeds (h) - draw - 1pt Total from remaining games - 28pts CARDIFF: Leicester (h) - draw - 1pt Hull (a) - lose - 0pts Ipswich (h) - draw - 1pt Crystal Palace (a) - draw - 1pt Barnsley (h) - win - 3pts Millwall (a) - draw - 1pt Derby (h) - win - 3pts Doncaster (a) - draw - 1pt Sheffield Utd (a) - win - 3pts Portsmouth (h) - win - 3pts QPR (h) - draw - 1pt Preston (a) - win - 3pts Middlesbrough (h) - win - 3pts Burnley (a) - draw - 1pt Total from remaining games - 25pts SWANSEA: Coventry (a) - draw - 1pt Leeds (h) - draw - 1pt Scunthorpe (a) - win - 3pts Watford (h) - win - 3pts Derby (a) - win - 3pts N Forest (h) - draw - 1pt Preston (a) - win - 3pts Norwich (h) - draw - 1pt Hull (h) - draw - 1pt Burnley (a) - draw - 1pt Portsmouth (a) - draw - 1pt Ipswich (h) - draw - 1pt Millwall (a) - draw - 1pt Sheffield Utd (h) - win - 3pts Total from remaining games - 24pts N FOREST: Preston (h) - win - 3pts Millwall (a) - draw - 1pt Middlesbrough (a) - draw - 1pt Hull (h) - win - 3pts Sheffield Utd (a) - win - 3pts Doncaster (h) - win - 3pts Swansea (a) - draw - 1pt Leeds (a) - draw - 1pt Reading (h) - win - 3pts Burnley (h) - draw - 1pt Norwich (a) - draw - 1pt Leicester (h) - draw - 1pt Bristol City (a) - win - 3pts Scunthorpe (h) - win - 3pts Crystal Palace (a) - draw - 1pt Total from remaining games - 29pts LEEDS: Barnsley (h) - win - 3pts Swansea (a) - draw - 1pt Doncaster (h) - win - 3pts Preston (a) - win - 3pts Ipswich (h) - draw - 1pt Sheffield Utd (a) - win - 3pts N Forest (h) - draw - 1pt Millwall (a) - draw - 1pt Derby (a) - win - 3pts Watford (h) - win - 3pts Reading (h) - draw - 1pt Crystal Palace (a) - draw - 1pt Burnley (h) - draw - 1pt QPR (a) - draw - 1pt Total from remaing games - 26pts LEICESTER: Cardiff (a) - draw - 1pt Coventry (h) - win - 3pts QPR (a) - draw - 1pt Norwich (h) - win - 3pts Scunthorpe (a) - win - 3pts Portsmouth (h) - win - 3pts Middlesbrough (a) - draw - 1pt Burnley (h) - draw - 1pt Crystal Palace (h) - win - 3pts Reading (a) - draw - 1pt N Forest (a) - draw - 1pt Watford (h) - win - 3pts Doncaster (a) - win - 3pts Ipswich (h) - draw - 1pt Total from remaining games - 28pts BURNLEY: Preston (a) - win - 3pts Crystal Palace (h) - win - 3pts Hull (a) - lose - 0pts Millwall (h) - draw - 1pt Coventry (h) - win - 3pts Bristol City (a) - draw - 1pt Ipswich (h) - draw - 1pt Leicester (a) - draw - 1pt Swansea (h) - draw - 1pt Middlesbrough (h) - win - 3pts Derby (a) - win - 3pts Portsmouth (h) - win - 3pts Leeds (a) - draw - 1pt Cardiff (h) - draw - 1pt Total from remaining games - 25pts Here''s the final table then... 1. 15. 4 - 1 to us. Holt with two, fox and hoolahan with the others.
16. I Don''t think we should treat this game differently to any other. Yes, Doncaster are in terrible form and on paper should be easy to beat, but starting players like Tierney and Mcnamee because of this is to much of a risk at this stage of the season. I personally think Lambert will play the same team. The only change i can see Lambert maybe doing is bringing in Surman for one of the midfield four. ----------------------------- Ruddy --------------------------------- Martin ------------Ward --------- Whitbread ----------Drury ------------------------------ Crofts --------------------------------- ---------------Lansbury ------------------- Fox ------------------ ----------------------------- Hoolahan------------------------------- ----------------------Holt-----------------Wilbraham--------------
17. On his twitter, says someone said it look remarkably like Rob Edwards, dosn''t suprise me really - good signing
18. Whether this is true or not, we hust have to wait and see. Lambert said we will know later. Remember, Lambert did say the experienced defender would be used as cover so i doubt it will be Sol Campbell, although i still think he would be very good at this level.
19. I fully accept your opinion and you will probably be right but i am not just basing this on a good cup run. If you look at the league 1 table, he has taken Leyton Orient (who normally are stuck in a relegation battle) to just 5 points off the play offs with a few games in hand on other teams. Who''s to say he can''t get them into the play offs like he did with Yeovil and Grimsby.
20. It is clear that the best players this season have all been attack minded midfilders (Taraabt, McGugan, King, Pratley, Hoolahan, Snodgrass, Sinclair, Gradel, Eagles) and therefore very difficult to incorporate into one single team.
21. I wouldn''t have thought that many other managers would get two struggling clubs, Yeovil and Grimsby into both the League 1 and League 2 play off final respectivly (In consecutive years). He wasn''t actually sacked because of results at Yeovil, he did not get on with the useless board that they have. Trust me, it won''t be long before he is managing at a better side.
22. As a local resident of Yeovil in Somerset, i occasionally watch the team to get my fix of football as I can''t get to many Norwich games. The period when Russell Slade was manager was fantastic for the team and he even managed to get them to the league 1 play off final in 2007 and just 90 minutes from championship football. It was arguably the biggest mistake that club made when they sacked him and is now proving he is one of the best managers outside the premiership. If the unthinkable was to happen and lambert was to leave, Slade would be a brilliant replacement. Mind you I would rather that wasn''t the case.
