Nothing His contract was up, he moved for nothing, we receive nothing. You do have to wonder what the academy have missed though if he has gone and gotten himself a contract at Arsenal....

Ewan Chester was part of taking him to Rangers.. there is a link at Norwich with him.. this could work in our favour with Boyd and others like Beasley May also work with loan signings.. John Fleck maybe a possibility - Chester involved there and also Robert Fleck is his Uncle so may be a good loanee. Has been likened to Wayne Rooney and would be good backup for the team. We can compete with the likes of Boro on reputation and ambition and stadia, fans etc. but maybe not money.. i do think that boyd would love it here and he would fit in brilliantly

GK - none atm DEF - Drury, Ward MID - Surman, Wes, Lappin, Fox STR - Martin and Holt have played a few games but not really SERIOUS experience i''ll be happy when we get in another striker and a ''keeper with a bit of championship experience

Spillane is SO much better than Russell Martin. Yes we could do with a beter right back but Spillane should be our number 1. As for people not bothered by his departure.. we shouldn''t be in that kind of mood. We have been calling for our own players to come through and now we are getting them through and suddenly its "oh i dont care". Yes we have Francomb, in who i have no doubt will be a great player from what we saw of him last season but it should still be Mickey ahead of Martin.

in my team he has his first team cemented already but with so many midfielders now he will have to fight - this may just help him to improve and fulfill and increase his potential with the extra competition around him

Yes! i think they''d be brilliant to bring into football everywhere. provide a great atmosphere and would just add to the great atmosphere already at Carrow Road

i''m a 9, maybe a 9.5. if we can get a good goalkeeper - preferably forster - and a decent striker then it''ll be a 10 full faith in lambert tho and it looks like the minimum aim this season is top 6 - i''ve heard that we spent at least 1mill on Surman.. which is serious money for norwich considerin we arent that great financially - i know we''re not bad either - but it just looks like the top quality players are comin in to give us a chance of that top 6/top 2 challenge

he might''ve cost that at some point but he isnt worth it now. and i dont rate him too highly - too lazy and his goal average isnt good enough
