MAX AARONS - Skills & Defence
KeiranShikari replied to nutty nigel's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Top class fullbacks are one of the rarest things in world football, safe to say that there will be big interest in Max Aarons come the summer. -
If we were going head to head with West Brom for him I have a feeling he would end up at West Brom because of finances.
-
He's managed and won trophies at some of the world's biggest football clubs. I'd say that makes him world class. Can't comment on Murphy as a player since he's left because I don't watch Newcastle. For all we know he has improved, maybe the just have better wingers at the club hence why he doesn't play much. I can think of 4 million reasons a year why he's still at Newcastle.
-
After everything we did for him. lol Premier League football at the club he supports under a world class manager. Not to mention the fact Norwich needed the money.

Rapid change in squads

Fer? Pretty sure we made money on him. -

If we were promoted I highly doubt there would be mass changes, Bethnal. Plenty of room for this set of players to develop. You're right about players leaving if we aren't though I would imagine. Although with financial pressure easing season on season you'd like to think we'd have a stronger hand when it comes to negotiations. Exciting times. -
Onel likes the little blue pen.

And some folk were worried that Norfolk would struggle to attract the young cosmopolitan footballers.- 25 replies

Based on this and a few of the other things he's done it looks like he might actually be up for sticking with them even if they go down. Or he's just trying to change the mood around the club to give them the best shot at getting out of it this season (or both I suppose). Looking at his signings so far, Judge and Collins especially, I could see them winning Championship football matches. Personally don't really care,. If they go down then great. If they stay up then they'll likely take points from some of our rivals at the top.

A big few games for Trybull you would assume. Did well against Villa if I remember correctly.

With Klose out for a while too I highly doubt it. It'll be Tom Trybull or Kenny McLean.

Asking journos to pick a Derby game and then showing them all of his analysis, after showing them everything he has on their tactics. lol Not sure Frank Lampard will be enjoying this too much.

Not really. Coming clean will mean there's no/less of an investigation hanging over the club. Also seems to be maneuvering so that if any punishment happens it's him and not the club. I'm sure the press will get off his back too.

He commented on some hack journo's comment saying that Bielsa is resigning, saying that it must be April fools day in his office.

Wagner leaves Huddersfield

Safe to say that we wouldn't be signing any Steven Naismiths' if we were promoted. I'd imagine a decent chunk of the money would go into infrastructure and young players.- 44 replies

Considering the fact we sold Matthews despite the fact he is English and not a high earner I would assume he isn't good enough. IIRC Farke did take a look at him in some games in a pre season tour.

I reckon it was genuine, although I doubt he'd have been offered a shed load more than what Norwich are paying him. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a substantial bonus/pay rise for promotion.

Wagner leaves Huddersfield
KeiranShikari replied to unique's topic in Main Discussion - Norwich City
Was wondering if it was like the Hughton situation here where outsider fans all thought we were mad for turning on him but looking at the comments from Town fans a lot wanted to keep him even if they went down. Can't imagine it'll take him long to get another, bigger, Premier League/Bundesliga job.
