  1. I think the key to his improvement was having Skipp alongside him. To get the best from Kenny we need someone with a good work rate defensively next to him. He had a mix mash of partners in the middle last time and was in front of a make shift defence, I'd hope he would have an easier time of things this time around with a fit CB pairing behind and a solid partner.
  2. Great to see all of the new lads involved as well as some slightly more familiar faces involved. Also good to see Adshead and some of the other young lads involved with the first team. Just so excited for Saturday now, I hope the place takes the roof off welcoming them all back. Might help them find that extra level we will likely need!
  3. What about Gustov Hamer from Coventry? We were linked once upon a time… It might take a fair whack of cash, but he could probably nail down a spot. Certainly looks like he has the tools for the job….
  4. I’ll be clapping, as the Euro final showed this is still an issue. If it makes people talk about the problem then it’s only a good thing, rather than burying our heads in the sand
  5. Saw on of the MFW tweeting that there is still the last little bit to be done on the contract, but nothing that anyone expects to be a problem. Likely just finalising it all and going over it with his agent/lawyer etc no doubt the club have been showing him around Colney and Carrow Road, likely to have met Delia too I’d imagine, so probably a busy day. Hopefully all sorted tonight so he’s ready to get stuck into training tomorrow and be unveiled.
  6. I wouldn’t say frightening, him and Sargent’s seasons have both already begun, so proper competitive minutes under his belt. Bench for me, though if he is spectacular today, tomorrow and Friday then why not, especially as we don’t know if Todd is fully fit yet.
  7. Pinkun confirming he is double jabbed, so hopefully in training as we speak!
  8. I could see him possibly making the bench, that’s assuming he starts training today and if Todd hasn’t managed to shake the ankle issue that kept him out last weekend. I guess it really depends on how he does between now and Friday evening. All this making the still rather large assumption he doesn’t need to quarantine. Maybe in Greece the owners had their squads jabbed, maybe a different set of guidelines on who got it.
  9. That prolific ITK Twitter account saying he failed his medical, seems highly unlikely and quite surprised to see them on the wind up like that. Cue a melt down now until he’s announced.
  10. Not read it, but maybe it’s got the wrong end of the stick of us perhaps not offering a set date contract and instead it just being open ended from now on, sort of like just a normal job.
  11. Maybe they can get him a room at the Carrow Road holiday inn and get him to do it next to the window.. almost on the pitch with a shirt! Does beg the question how they conducted the medical? Surprised it wasn’t done in Greece, just making me think there might be some way they’ve managed to sort the quarantine out?
  12. What are we thinking… 9am.. 10.. 1pm? I guess with the prestige of being our new record signing they are going all out with the media preparation, the videos etc. I do wonder how that will work though if he’s meant to be in quarantine, or not as the case might turn out to be? In the off chance he is double jabbed he could get right to it!
  13. Couple of village idiots in this thread it seems, what a lot of tosh
  14. Hahahahahaha and you are laughing at the rest of us. Tell me Mr. numbers, where do you factor into all of this the downturn and loss of a seasons revenue from Covid? How about the promotion bonuses for the 18/19 season promotion? How about the promotion bonuses for 20/21? How about the early repayment of the bond scheme for the academy buildings? No? How about agents fees? increase wages due to promotion clauses? No? What about the financial black hole created by the purchase of Naismith etc that was roughly 30 million to be paid back. Sure, a football club finances are just adding up the sales against the purchases and then madly shouting ‘100 million on promotion’. Do you need to be told that you don get the money in a lump sum, as has been explain a thousand times on here, by the club and pretty much every football expert.
  15. ITS TURNING TOWARD NODGE!! (what has my life become)
  16. We are CDM and a CB loan away from a really good window. Of course it all might come crashing down, but I don’t think anyone can say we can’t see what they are trying to do. Encouraged by this, just a shame we’ve got such a nasty start to the season!
  17. He will for a minimum of 5 days and then will likely take the test to release one, and bar a positive, will be out and involved with the group by the weekend, no chance of being in the team for Saturday I’m afraid. Won’t make it in time for Saturday and Farke will be keen to stress the point of not putting too much pressure on a young lad who’s just moved countries. That will mean giving him time to get up to speed with the squad, and then maybe a few bench appearances first.
  18. Just gently popping in and out of here and Twitter waiting for Sargent to be announced, fairly solid rumours he’s at Conley etc today, hopefully a 5pm special!
  19. Glad that Zim and Oma are getting more minutes, if it’s going to have to be one of those two playing in the 3 then today will be a great test for them. Frustrating though to see so many key players still not able to get minutes.
  20. I think I’d be in agreement if he had 3 or 4 years to run on his contract, I just think that any move we now make is a big gamble, one in which only survival will reward them with credit, but the decision to stick with Todd or to sell could have so many different outcomes. We could keep him and stay up= they get a pat on the back We could keep him and go down= they get criticised for not selling to strengthen We could sell him and stay up= they get credit for being brave and strengthening We could sell and go down= they get torn apart for selling after Emi leaves but to add to that if Todd doesn’t sign a new deal then we are in a situation where we stay up but lose him anyway for half of what we might get now, we go down and lose him for even less than that, or we stay up and he moves on probably for closer to 30 than 40.
  21. Trying to get my head around this, the timing of it all just seems to point to one of two things, the first and more likely is that we have made a bid for Armstrong recently but it’s only being made public the moment Blackburn became aware of Southampton’s sudden need for a replacement/windfall from the sale. So whilst there is a degree of truth it’s likely we are being used as an attempt to get a bidding war going in the hope that if we’ve come in with 15 million plus 5 million add ons, the Saints can just trump it with a straight 20 million. The second and probably less likely, is that Villa have made contact and we know that Todd is not long for us now. We’ve read the situation and know about Ings leaving and so have tried to get in there first and wrap it up to avoid a bidding war if both us and Southampton have just sold players and made it known to Blackburn that there is cash floating around in both the prospective clubs,
  22. Yeah I’m on that sort of train of thought, I honestly think Todd is about 25-30 million player, but to Norwich at this exact moment of time, selling to a club that’s just made 100 million, 40-50 is about right.
