1.

What''s the history on trouble between these 2 clubs though? Surely that must impact upon policing decisions as much as anything. Or do Norfolk & Suffolk constabularies have more concern over our rivalries? Do other police forces make derby days feel as intimidating as the Suffolk police do at portaloo road?
I''ve been to quite a few derby matches around the UK and Europe and i have to say that Portaloo Road has to be the least intimidating place i have ever been to on derby day.  It''s completely over policed and played at a ridiculous time and then all you get is a few kids shouting rubbish as you walk to the ground.  If the police were not there then half the Ipswich fans that line the road and mouth off wouldn''t even be there as they wouldn''t have the police protection.
I''m not disputing that. It was the police that I felt intimidated by, not the Ipswich fans. I went to an England v Turkey game some years ago & felt less intimidated there than at Portaloo Road
 2. I''m also very disappointed to hear this column''s being withdrawn. Adam''s views, though not always those of his readers, make an interesting read. When I come up for games, I always read the sports pages of the EDP first - back page then Adam''s page. And they say there''s no censorship in the modern press .... cobblers!

 4. I just had to join in with comments about suspenders! ;o) Going back to the original comment ie suspensions - they are only going to happen if refs actually book the players. Holt was getting harrassed all night long, with those handbags at times, yet no bookings for any of the players getting so physical with him? I felt after that tussle in the box, where there was a lot of pushing & shoving, the ref lost control of the MK Dons defence so they just continued to intimidate as they knew they would get away with it. That kind of behaviour needs to be clamped down early on or players will take advantage, using bully boy tactics.
 5.

No my wardrobe has plenty of cotton, denim, linen & lace in it thankyou very much! As I said before, it''s how you hang it out to dry that determines if it needs ironing or not.
You see....women istinctively know these things.
I instinctively learnt it from my mum - she taught me how to ''not iron''
 6.
Lambert is not another Roeder, he is more like Martin o''Neil who selects his players on how they play and not how they could play. Reputations seem to count for very little and rightly so. Hoolahan looks like he can''t be bothered when he takes the pitch, and Doherty has never been a great defender just a great club person. I think Lambert is a breath of fresh air and is taking the club in the right direction. I don''t believe that every Business owner gets on well with all their employees so why should it be any different with a manager and his players who are overpaid with inflated egos?
I''ll go along with this. How they play is key to selection, not how they could play. As for Doherty, I think his time is at an end for us. Look back at posts from years gone by and you''ll see that Malky got slated when he made mistakes towards the end of his City career. However, many of Malky''s errors were countered by his ability to lead and boss the team around on the pitch, plus he endeavoured to rectify errors, whereas Doc seems to lose confidence when he makes a mistake, keeping his head down instead of getting on with the game.
 7. This is already being discussed on another thread - radio norfolk text!

 9. You swore! You said the ''i'' word. I do stuff but as a modern woman, I don''t iron. Ironing went out with the ark. Just a case of hanging it to dry properly. Several women who work with me don''t iron either. As for that comment about having computers in kitchens... And no I''m not chained to the kitchen sink, the chains are on the bed ;o)
 10.

Prehaps we could get one in on loan?
Having watched a track suited girl run on to the pitch here on Sunday to administer to a fallen rugby player (with amazing results I might add} I  wonder we don''t have a kit girl/woman/lady as a replacement. Would perhaps lighten up the dressing room and I am sure the kit would be spotless.
Why would the kit be spotless with a female in charge of it? I''ve never seen the boys come out in dirty kit all the time a man has been doing this job... Both sexes can use a washing machine, it''s just a matter of reading the instructions. Being female doesn''t give us an automatic knowledge of domestic appliances.
 11.
Whats Kevin Muscat done? I dont know much about him, i know he has played for Melbourne (same as theo) and i think blackburn?
You''ve not heard the song then ''Kevin Muscat, what a w****r, what a w****r!'' A real dirty player - nasty piece of work. Makes Joey Barton look quite tame & he''s another unpleasant character
 12. Seems a shame that one of the most memorable things about yesterday''s game was the crossbar challenge not happening! Very disappointing for those who hoped to take part. What happens? Do they get the opportunity to take part at another game?
 13.
Bovril!? Eeeeeeurgh! Hot Chocolate everytime :) I havent actually bought a pie at a game for a while. :S Probably cause Hot dogs, burgers, sausage rolls etc are easier to eat. Plus in winter, i would have my trusy gloves on which makes it even harder.
Well I always have a plastic spoon in my bag in case I decide to buy one. Spot the former guide - always be prepared! Best chicken balti pie was at WBA a few years ago
 14. So each one of our players has a fantastic first touch then? 100% EVERY first touch of the ball goes where the player intended it to go? 100% put the ball to the feet of the player they are passing to; 100% first touches to shoot, score a goal; 100% cross the ball from a corner to where the players are in the box. OK maybe 100% is unrealistic, but every player can always improve. There''s no such thing as the 100% perfect player. Everyone can improve & get better, at whatever they do. Practise... & no, not every kid learns to control the ball - only kids who play football learn this skill.
 15. I didn''t say he hadn''t got a first touch, I said it needed working on.  OK, he needs to work on controlling the ball better with his first touch - is that clearer?
 16.

Walsall could have well snatched all three points had it not been for lucky misses from Byfield. No one on the two teams particularly stood out for me, and as such no one was that bad either.  The match was boring, full of hoofball and lacked attacking ideas. Player ratings: all about 6. Nobody took the match by the scruff of the neck, midfield was lacking at the best of times- only part of the team I can credit to any degree is the defence. Got a clean sheet and looked threatening from corners and set pieces. Oh and as for lambert, my only criticisms of him were for starting Curo in front of Macdonald and for not having Hoolahan on the bench. I just hope that this match isnt repeated that often this year. Very very boring.
Summed it up well CT, defence was tight but why oh why did Curo start over Cody. Smith - as much as he is a youth product and no doubt one for the future, I think we needed a bit more experience in the midfield today.  (Although it was bypassed anyway!).
The game was very mediocre. Will it be remembered as the one where the cross bar challenge didn''t happen? Obviously the other goal was surounded by fog or they forgot it was there!! I would imagine Cody was on the bench because his first touch still needs working on, despite his eye for goal, quickness & footie brain. Also Wes didn''t really ignite fires against Wycombe - either he needs to adapt to a different style of play or the team needs to be styled around him. Which would you do as a a manager? Yes he can create but I don''t think we''ve really ever got the best out of him since he got here. He hasn''t found the right person to partner him.
 17. I was telling my mum I might be getting a column on Pink Un (waiting for Pete to email me back) & said about the different acronyms we''d had - MITS, WITS, ''Tottie in the stands'' but left out a couple. She says, why not ''Kentish Lass in the Stands, that''s KL... Ooo, perhaps not'' & giggled. She hadn''t thought that through...
 18. Thanks for the tip - is that a farm shop acquisition?
 19. The original Hedgehog flavour crisps & Scampi Nik-Naks, both of the 80''s, not those feeble rehash efforts released a couple of years ago.
 20. Got to be Rocquefort, Bleanleigh Blue (I think that''s how it''s spelt) or Lord of the Hundreds for me
 21.
LOL, thats very true unfortunatly. Like i said earlier, i don''t despise the Doc the way some people do, but some of the things he does are too risky for him to be starting every game. If he''d stop trying to hug every person he marks it''d be a start.
I''ll agree that Doc does make mistakes - then again, he''s not the only one. However, his errors can be quite costly. Plus I get really fed up with the amount of shirt tugging he does when beaten by a faster player. That said, he has had good games for us in the past. Don''t ask me which ones though - I''m a woman & can''t be expected to remember details like that. I just know he has, alright - lol. In all my years of following City, there''s always been a ''boo boy'' & since Andy Hughes left, it''s been the Doc.
 22. In The Mail''s favour, it does produce a very useful tv magazine on a Saturday. & red is still used by teachers to mark down my way too
 23. Thankyou, though I think I''ll have to be careful over the ''double entendres'' (if it''s spelt that way). Let''s hope Archant feel that way & the other readers too.
