I think that working in the Treasury and as Shadow Chancellor gives Ed a professional advantage over a local businessman when it comes to long term planning. Why knock everything about our club unless it''s a petty political thing?

I suspect that I may be a tool. Pardew strikes me as a nearly man who fails repeatedly at similar kinds of clubs. His much mooted arrogance and ego appear to leave him with little room to evolve or learn from his mistakes.
